Months of preparation and weeks of on-ground campaigning will see its final outcome on Tuesday. The counting will start at 8 am. The count of postal ballots will start first across all counting centres. After half-an-hour of the start of the postal ballot count, the counting of votes recorded in the electronic voting machines will commence, the Election Commission said. The order of counting will be: the postal ballot count, and then the EVM count, and finally the matching of VVPT slips with EVM results. TIMELINE OF 2024 LOK SABHA POLLS The 2024 Lok Sabha elections spanned seven phases: April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1. Twenty states including Delhi voted in a single-phase. Maharashtra and Jammu and Kashmir polled in 5 phases, while Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal voted in all seven phases of voting. Polling in Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tripura, and Manipur were held in two phases. Chhattisgarh and Assam saw 3 phases of voting, and Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand had 4 phases of polling. As per a report by PRS Legislative Research, 8,360 candidates from 744 parties, including six nationally recognised parties, contested elections across 543 constituencies. POLITICAL PARTIES’ PREDICTION vs EXIT POLLS The INDIA bloc leaders expressed confidence in securing the majority. After the seventh and final phase of polling ended on June 1, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge confidently said, “INDIA bloc will win at least 295 seats.” However, the India Today-Axis My India exit poll, as well as several other exit polls, suggested a third term for the BJP-led NDA. The exit polls predict that the BJP, which has been loud with its ‘400 paar’ slogan, might just finish near the mammoth number. A poll of five exit polls, including India Today-Axis My India poll, suggests that the BJP-led NDA is likely to win 379 seats. There will be new polling places put up in the Barmer desert in Rajasthan and on Tulsi Dongri Hill near the border between Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Prediction On Lok Sabha Election 2019

If astrologers have had their way, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to rule the country for some more years. Two famous astrologers in Kerala have predicted that there would be no alternative for Modi for some years to come. Said Chithrabhanu K. Poduval, an astrologer from Payyannur in Kannur district of the state, to THE WEEK, “Modi belongs to Anuradha nakshatra or Anizham naal as we call in Malayalam. He is passing through the Sade Sati period [of 7 1/2 years, when Saturn enters the zodiac sign]. Modi’s sign is under the influence of shani [Saturn] for the next two-and-a-half years. Some horoscopes are desirable for Sade Sati. His is one among them. There was a Rahu Antardasha of the moon in his horoscope when he became the prime minister in 2014. It is Rahu [one of the nine planets in Vedic astrology] that gives Modi the intelligence and popularity. His charisma is completely controlled by Rahu.” 

Prediction On Lok Sabha Election 2019 Poduval said Modi is sure to come back to power in 2019. “In fact, there will not be any political setback for Modi till 2029. He will rule with his energy and his social acceptance will only get better in the years to come,” he said. But the year 2024 could see Modi grapple with health and other issues. “I foresee some kind of non-political trouble for Modi in 2024. His enemies are baying for his blood. He could be physically attacked in 2024. There are so many people who are jealous of him. Modi needs to watch out during 2024,” said Poduval. 

Poduval was the first astrologer in Asia who had predicted that Modi will become the prime minister. “I had predicted it even before he was declared the prime ministerial candidate of the BJP for the 2014 general elections. Many BJP leaders contacted me after that,” he said. 

Renowned astrologer Kanippayyur Narayanan Namboodiripad said Modi is passing through a tough phase now. “It will end around October 2018. He cannot take things lightly now. His over-confidence, at times, is harming him,” he said to THE WEEK. Namboodiripad said Modi will come back to power in Prediction On Lok Sabha Election 2019. “His horoscope indicates that he will become the prime minister in 2019. But the seats the BJP will get will be a tad less this time. Modi should offer prayers to female deities more than male deities as it will help him cross hurdles.”

Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar in Gujarat. He was the third of the six children born to Damodardas and Hiraben Modi. Modi’s zodiac sign is Virgo. Poduval has some advice for Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi: 'Get hitched!' "For Rahul, it is not a good period till August 2019. The Lok Sabha Election 2019 are not in his favour. Till 2024, there will not be any improvement in Rahul's political career. But, according to his horoscope, there would be a change in his career after his marriage. Basically it means he will do well after marriage," said Poduval.
