xmas song bonanza 2k21
here we go again :)
this is an au
I’m Christmasing with You [Make the Yuletide Gay]
Edward met Étienne, a few years back, when he’d done an internship in Montréal. He’d been in the city for a few weeks, when one evening, he’d gone out to a club and had caught the attention of Étienne. The two had hit it off right away, at frightening speed, and Edward, figuring he was in town for only a year, decided to have fun with it.
By the time his stint ended, his French had greatly improved, he’d successfully completed his internship and they’d both agreed to end their relationship, seeing as Edward was going back to Edmonton and they had parted as friends.
The only problem – the only minor drawback to the whole ordeal had been that they’d both fallen for each other and within the first week of Edward’s return, they’d talked and decided to try and long distance it.
It wasn’t ideal, but – they did their best.
It wasn’t always easy, but it made every time they got to see each other worth it.
Therefore, over the past few years, they’d alternated on visits, had exchanged a plethora of letters, had stuffed any common spare time with Skype calls and then Zoom calls, had navigated text messages, instant messages and even the occasional e-mail, had strung together as many extended weekends as possible and had also traded on which city to spend the holidays in.
As it happened, this year, it’s Étienne’s turn to be in Edmonton and Edward is quite happy to have his boyfriend with him for the holidays.
“Ready to watch the movie?” Edward asks as he returns to the living room. He finds Étienne sitting in front of the Christmas tree, seemingly lost in thought. They have the house to themselves, Edward’s parents conveniently out for the evening, and Edward appreciates this time alone with his beau. The holidays are hectic enough as they are and any quality time he can get with Étienne is a gift.
“Yeah,” Étienne answers, without really moving from his perch by the tree. He seems pensive, as if he has something on his mind, and just as Edward is about to ask him if everything’s alright, his boyfriend turns to face him, “D’you mind if I give you your present now? I know we said we’d wait – but this one is, well, can you open it? Please?”
Edward wants to string along some platitude about waiting and that it’s the right thing to do – especially since it’s the twenty-third and they’ll be opening presents soon enough, but he’s insanely curious and Étienne has a look on his face which is this side of serious and, well, who is he to deny his boyfriend such a request?
 “If you insist.”
Étienne gives him a relieved type of smile and reaches for one of the smaller bags that had made its way under the tree in the past few days.
The first thing Edward notices is that there’s no card, which is odd, considering Étienne loves writing to him. Instead, he removes the tissue paper and finds a carefully and delicately wrapped box. It’s light, considering, and Edward puts the bag aside to focus on the wrapped box instead.
Once the bow and paper have been removed, (slowly and gently, to re-use it), he opens the lid and finds three items in the box that leave him completely perplexed.
The first item is a key attached to a pretty leather keychain with – what he assumes are his initials. There’s nothing fancy about the key. It’s shiny, sure, and a clear colour, but there are no fancy motifs on it and he has no idea as to what it could open.
The second item is a decorative address sticker pad of sorts. There’s a flower garland on opposing ends and in the middle, Étienne’s name is featured with his address.
 Étienne M Maisonneuve
10823 Jasper Ave, App 4C
Edmonton AB
T5J 0J5
Canada
The last item is a brochure from the Art Gallery of Alberta.
Edward near does a double take and re-reads the address again, when it clicks.
 He knows Jasper  Avenue.
 He’s in Edmonton.
The Art Gallery of Alberta is in Edmonton.
Étienne Marie Maisonneuve does not fucking live in Edmonton.
After he’s made certain that his mind is not playing some cruel game on him, he looks up to his boyfriend only to find Étienne giving him a very hopeful smile that does nothing to help.
“Étienne?” He asks, hoping for some clarity, “What the fuck is this?”
“The key is yours.” Étienne starts, oddly calm, considering, while Edward’s heart is hammering its own rendition of one of Trans Siberian Orchestra’s greatest hits. “It’s the key to my place.” He adds, as if that’s meant to clarify anything.
“Last time I checked, and – correct me if I’m wrong,” Edward interrupts, looking back at the address on the sticker pad, “You live in Montréal, which, last time I also checked, happened to be not in Alberta. Which is where we are. Where I live. Not you.” He tries to remain calm, he really, really does, but Étienne’s shit eating grin is not helping.
“Merry Christmas!” Étienne exclaims, giddy, and if it’s supposed to mean anything to Edward, it is utterly lost on him.
“Bouclé, love of my life, please explain,” He says, as little exasperated.
Étienne laughs and scoots closer to him, taking the key out of the box and handing it to him so that he can further examine the keychain, “Okay, so, I’ve been thinking – we’ve been dating for a few years now and yeah, it’s nice and all to see each other whenever, but – I want to see you more than just a handful of times during the year. So I figured I’d move here! And be closer. That way we can really give this relationship its rightful momentum and see where it brings us...” He trails off nervously and looks at Edward again, buoyant.
Edward can only blink as his brain slowly wraps itself around the fact that Étienne Maisonneuve, his boyfriend, has apparently moved? Is moving? Will be moving? Away from Montréal and to Edmonton – all to spend time with him? To be closer to him?
 Something.
 Clearly this is a dream.
Instead, he makes a choked sound from the back of his throat and Étienne lets out a nervous laugh.
“When did you figure this all out?” He finally squawks.
Étienne has the decency to look semi sheepish at that, “After your last visit this summer. I know we’d sort of bounced the idea around, but you were finally settled in work so I knew you wouldn’t want to move just yet and I had nothing going on really, so I started looking around. Applied to a few jobs. Looked at places to rent. And such.”
“And such.” Edward parrots back dumbly.
“Eventually, I heard back from the Art Gallery. They had a two year position open. Museum currator. I did the interview. They liked me. Called me back. I accepted the job. Then I found the apartment. Thought we could see how things worked out with us and then, if you wanted, at some point, when you’re ready, move in. There’s enough space. Or – we could find something to suit our needs. Or something! I’m just ball parking here!” He laughs, real nerves now, if Edward is to judge by the way he’s twisting the sleeves of his shirt with his fingers, but Edward’s mind is busy with other things. Notably, the fact that his boyfriend had schemed behind his back.
 “Anyways, here we are!”
They share a look, Étienne still giddy on nerves, Edward trying to process and for the moment of a breath, they both still, unsure how to proceed.
“I – you’re – here?” Edward asks, making sure, because it would be too cruel to have misunderstood the whole thing. “Why?”
“Because. I love you, silly. I want to be with you, so I found a way. If things don’t work out, well, I’ll move back. If they work, then coming out here would have been the right thing to do.”
Edward blinks again and then gathers Étienne in his arms, before hugging him tightly. He’s at a loss for words, really. Never, in his wildest dreams, would he have thought that Étienne would have moved out to Edmonton. It didn’t make any sense to him. For so many reasons. Hell, he wasn’t even sure himself if he wanted to stay here, despite having spent all his life in this city and having his own love-hate relationship with it. But – Étienne was from Montréal. He loved his city. Edward had assumed that eventually, he’d have to leave. Move out east. Never the other way around. That wasn’t how it worked.
Then again, Étienne Maisonneuve never really followed the rules. He should know.
 (He knows.)
He laughs, thick and wet, from the crook of Étienne’s neck and pulls back to look at him, even if his eyes are a little glossy with unshed tears.
“You’re serious? You’re really moving here? To be with me?”
The watery smile on Étienne’s face mirrors his own and his boyfriend takes his hand to give it a gentle squeeze, “Yeah, I really am. And before you ask, I thought about the whole cold as all else winters and the never ending darkness and your generally shit weather that isn’t as stellar as the one in Montréal. I know my friends and family won’t be here – but they’re not gone. I want to do this, really – if you want as well.”
Edward nods, unable to do anything else, and for the second time, pulls him in for a hug and never wants to let go. There’ll be time later for further questions. Time to ask for finer details; the hows and whens and maybe a few more whys, but for now, he’ll content himself on holding Étienne close to him, on placing wet kisses to his cheek and on agreeing with himself that he has the most ridiculous boyfriend in the world.

How to Make a Moving Inventory List
Keeping track of all your earthly possessions is certainly not an easy task, especially in demanding circumstances, such as moving from home, which add to the general stress of modern life. In such a case, the only way to keep things under control and prevent problematic complications and severe headaches is to somehow introduce order and organization into the arduous preparations for moving.
Tumblr media
There are a couple of efficient planning tools that will help you stay focused and aware of everything throughout the relocation process: a comprehensive move-in checklist that contains all the tasks related to relocation that you must complete before moving day and A detailed list of household inventory that contains household items and personal belongings that you intend to carry with you. Having these practical checklists to consult whenever you feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of the relocation effort will make a big difference to your entire moving experience.
Here you will find everything you need to know about the moving inventory to ensure a safe, well-organized and trouble-free relocation.

Why Make A Home Inventory List When Moving?
It is easy to see the benefits of a personalized moving calendar (it will help you optimize every hour of the time you have left until your move and prevent you from forgetting something important), but you may not be sure if there is a moving inventory sheet. It is worth the time and efforts necessary to create it. However, once the actual moving preparations begin, you will quickly conclude that a moving inventory list is absolutely indispensable.
If you will be the one who packs your belongings for shipping or if you intend to hire professional packers to do the work for you, it is a good idea to document everything you own in advance. Your moving inventory list will not only help you stay organized and keep track of your possessions, but will also allow you to estimate the cost of your move and unpack quickly and easily after relocation. You will be able to:
1) Get a better picture of your possessions. An inventory of the house is a visual representation of all your belongings: it contains and represents every possession of you. You may not realize the amount of things you really own before creating a detailed list of your belongings. However, once you do, you will know exactly what you have and can decide which items to take to your new home and which ones to dispose of before your move. Your home inventory will help you identify duplicate, obsolete, damaged or worn items, as well as any items you cannot use (or prefer not to use) in your new environment. Therefore, ordering and organizing your belongings will be much simpler and easier. Just be sure to include all the items that you will be moving to your new home on your list of moving inventory.
2) Estimate the cost of your move. The cost of your move depends on the total weight of your shipment. Once you have your mobile inventory sheet ready, you can easily estimate the weight of your items and get an accurate idea of the final cost of the move. In addition, you can provide the chosen engines with all the information they need to correctly assess how much time will be required to complete the work, what additional services will be needed, etc. Knowing these details will not only allow the engines to obtain an exact final price, but will also help them prepare properly for their relocation needs and requirements, so that they can make a safe and efficient movement.
3) Evaluate your needs and requirements. When you have a complete inventory of all the items that will be packaged to move, you can determine the type and amount of packaging supplies you will need, the time it will take to prepare your items for shipping, and the special offer handling requirements that will ensure safety of your belongings.
4) Save time. Oddly enough, the process that takes a long time to make a moving inventory will really save you a lot of time in the long run. You can use it as a complete packing list, so as not to forget any of your belongings and organize them in a practical and systematic way; When you can see all your items on the inventory list, you can decide which one should be packed, how many items you can put in a single box without making it too heavy, etc.
In addition, labeling will be very easy and efficient, since you can make a detailed record of the contents of each mobile container. In this way, unpacking will also be quick and easy.
5) Provide adequate insurance. A mobile inventory list will help you better determine the value of your belongings and the type of liability coverage that will be most appropriate in your particular case. If your shipment includes very expensive items (valued at more than $ 100 per pound), you will be asked to complete an inventory of high value items that lists these valuables to ensure proper protection.
In fact, it is strongly recommended that you consider the estimated value of each item that you are about to entrust to the engines of your moving inventory list. Do not forget to include a clear statement of the status of your belongings before the move (along with the appropriate evidence, of course, photos, videos, guarantees, maintenance receipts, certificates of authenticity, etc.) as well. Such a detailed list of the household moving inventory will help you file an insurance claim against the moving company if any of your items are damaged or stolen while in your custody.
After relocation, you can use your home's inventory list to make home insurance.
6) Keep a record of your possessions. When carriers come to your house to pick up your shipment, you can check your inventory list and make sure that each box, appliance and furniture has been loaded into the moving truck. But much more important: you can check your items on the inventory list at the time of delivery and immediately find out if something has disappeared:
How to make a mobile inventory sheet?
You will need a lot of time to do a complete inventory of the home and a packing list, so be sure to start creating your list of items as soon as your decision to move becomes a true fact.
Basic principles of inventory
For maximum efficiency and better organization, it is advisable to work in one room at a time: take a complete inventory of all items in one room and then move on to the next. If this is not a convenient option in your particular case, at least be sure to create separate inventory sheets for each separate room.
When taking inventory of a room, start with the main items (furniture, appliances, large electronic devices, etc.) and continue with the smallest or insignificant ones. It is a good idea to write down any item that requires special handling during the moving process (such as household appliances, furniture disassembly, packaging of valuable works of art or family heirlooms, etc.)
You do not have to document every possession of yours, such as individual books, clothing items, office supplies and other possibilities, but you must be very careful with items that have a high monetary or sentimental value: pieces of art, jewelry, electronic items, collectibles and other treasured belongings should be described in detail and included in the inventory form of high value items.
Additional advice: keep in mind that your documents are among your most important possessions and losing any of them during the period of chaotic movement can cause very serious problems. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to do everything possible to keep them safe, organized properly and easily accessible throughout the relocation process.

Make a detailed record of your belongings
You can write everything on paper or take advantage of modern technology and use a spreadsheet program (such as Excel) or specialized home inventory software to create a mobile inventory spreadsheet that can be easily edited. Either way, make sure your home inventory template has the following essential columns:
Article name;
Item description: be as specific as possible and provide all relevant information, such as quantity, material, brand, model number and any other distinctive feature that may be useful to you (or your engines) in a way or other;
Current condition: Be objective and provide sufficient evidence of the actual condition of each individual item. Write down any pre-existing damage and include all applicable documentation (guarantees, receipts, certificates, appraisal statements, photos, etc.);
Estimated value: the value of the item that you declare in this column will be used to establish the limit of liability of the moving for the loss or damage of the item;
New designated location: writing down the destination room or the designated location of an item will greatly facilitate moving and speed up the unpacking process. The current location of a particular may or may not match your location in your new home;
Notes: You may want to add a personal note or some additional information about an item that is outside the categories mentioned above. If you have numbered your mobile containers, be sure to also write down the box number that contains the specific item.
In case you have a homeowner's insurance, your insurance company will already have a list of your household items that you can use when making your moving inventory.
Create visual records
Adding images to your home inventory sheet will greatly improve its practicality and reliability: any image and / or video of your items will serve as an undeniable proof of your current condition and capture the distinctive features of each individual item better than any written description. might.
You can walk around your house with a video camera (or even use your phone's camera) to record all the items in your home. You can take still photos of your belongings and attach them to your moving inventory spreadsheet or create a home video inventory. To get a complete record with your camcorder, ask someone to help you by holding objects, opening drawers, etc. Be sure to also create an audio diary to accompany your videos (or add notes to photos), just speak into the microphone to include additional information about a particular item or take important voice notes.
Making visual records of your belongings is a very convenient approach that saves a lot of time and effort. However, keep in mind that the images are meant to accompany your written home inventory movement list, not replace it.
Consider Using a Specialized Home Inventory App
Electronic records are not only easier to produce than handwritten inventory lists, but they are also much more convenient: you can edit them freely and effortlessly as many times as you need; insert digital photos; attach video records; download them and print them if you need paper copies; store them online, so you can access them at anytime from anywhere; etc. You can take advantage of specialized housing inventory applications that will help you create your mobile inventory sheet faster and more efficiently than you have ever considered possible. The best home inventory applications feature state-of-the-art home inventory checklist tools that allow you to create a complete inventory list of your home's virtual home removals and allow you to easily document and organize your items.
You can create a digital map of your home by creating virtual rooms and filling them with all household items and personal possessions that will lead to your new residence. You can reorganize and edit your list of items whenever you need, delete items and add new ones, or make any other necessary changes and save them immediately. In addition, the best-qualified housing inventory applications, such as MoveAdvisor, can calculate the weight and overall volume of your inventory items and even estimate the approximate number of moving boxes you will need for relocation. Finally, you can export your mobile home inventory and share it with others. You can even email your complete list of household inventory directly to an accredited moving company to receive a precise moving quote.
As easy and convenient as that.
It is good to remember: once you have created your moving inventory sheet, make sure it is not accidentally lost or damaged in the moving chaos. Make several backup copies of the list and keep them in different places to be safe (be sure to keep a copy in your document folder that will travel with you to your new home). If you have electronic records of your belongings, transfer a digital copy to a memory card, email them, or save them in the cloud as viable backup options.
It is also advisable to have a copy of your own inventory sheet with you on the day of the move, so you can compare it with the one your movers prepared and check if everything is correct and clearly established. This will help avoid confusion and disputes later.
A detailed inventory of the house is one of the most important requirements for a successful and trouble-free relocation adventure. Are you ready to start creating yours?

How to Pack Furniture Safely in a Moving Truck
One of the most important problems to solve during the move is how to store your furniture safely in your moving truck without damaging them. Furniture is extremely vulnerable to damage - wood can be gouged, upholstered furniture can tear and glass can break. The good news is that with careful planning and preparation, you can protect your furniture and integrate it into your new home. Here are some helpful tips for packing your furniture in a moving van:
1. Get the right moving accessories
Boxes, wrapping tape and blankets are widely used and effective in a residential move, but they are not always enough. Remember to gather some extra items to reduce potential damage:
Plastic pouchesCovers for your couch and mattressRemovable plastic bagsCorrugated sheets
2. Prepare your furniture
Remove casters, handles and drawers from furniture whenever possible. The casters can move the furniture on the back of a moving truck and pulling them can cause scratches and scratches when the items are packed next to each other. Removing the drawers can lighten heavy furniture and make it easier to move.
Tumblr media
3. Take the furniture in pieces
Disassembling furniture can make it more compact and easier to move. For example, remove the feet from your table and break the frame of your bed as much as possible. When separating furniture, it is much easier to get furniture through narrow doors and to avoid damage, as they are less likely to get caught on door frames. For complicated parts, refer to the owner's manual when disassembling and use resealable plastic bags to safely store small parts such as screws and nuts.

4. Wrap the pieces of furniture
Bubbles and blankets are your friends when it comes to moving your furniture safely. Use them to protect your most delicate pieces. Place cardboard sheets between the large pieces of furniture to keep them from bumping into each other.
5. Pack in the right order
Take the time to plan the placement of items in your moving truck. This will not only protect your belongings, but will also facilitate unloading. For the truck to be well balanced, you should have about 60% of the weight to the front of the truck and about 40% to the rear. Therefore, start with heavier boxes along the back wall of the truck. It's never a good idea to have fragile items in these boxes. These boxes will help provide support and protection for the heavier items. The next on the truck should be your heavier furniture items like dressers and desks. Use bubble wrap, blankets, and cardboard sheets to avoid damaging them.
Place a blanket on the floor, and then bring your mattresses. Store them upright to free up space. The blankets should prevent the mattress from getting dirty. Then bring your stuffed items. These must be attached to the hooks on the back of the truck. Fragile items should continue last.

6. Use as much space as possible
Fill all voids with filler elements, ie all non-breakable elements that can be shaped to fit irregular voids. Sofa cushions and garment bags are good stuffers. These will not only help maximize your use of space, but they can also provide extra cushioning for your furniture. Loading a moving truck safely and in the right direction will save you time and be less stressful the day of your day. Plan your truck by following these tips. Coronavirus: Canada refuses to send athletes to Tokyo Olympics unless Games postponed

Coronavirus: Canada refuses to send athletes to Tokyo Olympics unless Games postponed
Canada won’t have a team at this summer’s Tokyo Olympics unless the Games are postponed — a bold move that would at least give Canadian athletes some sense of direction in the coming months.
The Canadian Olympic Committee and Canadian Paralympic Committee issued joint statements Sunday evening saying that they refuse to send their teams to Tokyo unless their respective Games are pushed back, and are advocating for a year.
“While we recognize the inherent complexities around a postponement, nothing is more important than the health and safety of our athletes and the world community,” the COC said in its statement.

“This is not solely about athlete health _ it is about public health. With COVID-19 and the associated risks, it is not safe for our athletes, and the health and safety of their families and the broader Canadian community for athletes to continue training towards these Games.”

The Tokyo Olympics are scheduled to start July 24 with the Paralympics slated to follow on Aug. 25.
“It’s heartbreaking news,” Olympic champion wrestler Erica Wiebe said.

“It’s been a whirlwind week. I qualified for Tokyo last Saturday, officially punching my ticket and now a week later, it’s like for sure we’re not going no matter what. Hopefully the IOC will postpone for a year.”
Two-time Olympic trampoline champion Rosie MacLennan sits on the COC’s athletes commission.
She knows it will be difficult for Canada’s athletes if the Tokyo Games go ahead without them, but says the current pandemic is more important than high-performance sport.

“I think it’s the responsible decision to make, even though it might be hard to feel we’re missing out on that opportunity, I know in my heart that it is one hundred per cent the right thing to do,” MacLennan said.
Six-time Olympian Hayley Wickenheiser, who serves on the International Olympic Committee’s athletes commission, believes the majority of athletes support the decision of the COC and the CPC.
The retired hockey player and winner of four Olympic gold medals, who is currently in medical school, hopes other countries follow Canada’s lead.

“I think in this country athletes today made a very unselfish decision,” Wickenheiser said.
“Not only for themselves, but for the rest of the sporting world, so that others that aren’t as brave can have a chance to step up and say ‘we really want to do the same thing’ and that’s what we’ll see.
“A decision had to be made. Training in limbo was not a smart thing to keep doing. Athletes will push through anything and find a way. It’s no longer safe or ethical to ask athletes to do that.”

Canada’s statement joins a growing chorus of critics around the International Olympic Committee’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Australian Olympic Committee has told its athletes in a statement on its website they should prepare for the Tokyo Games in 2021.
IOC president Thomas Bach said earlier Sunday the global organization is considering options including postponement, and a decision will be made in four weeks.

Cancelling the Games entirely, Bach said, is not being considered.

It was the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began that the IOC admitted it would consider other options.
Canadian athletes had mixed feelings about Bach’s four-week deadline _ relief that outright cancellation wasn’t being considered, but anxiety still around the uncertainty of the Olympics amid a global health emergency that has brought the sports world to its knees.
“It’s nerve-wracking, you want to know when it’s going to happen,” said Brittany Crew, the Canadian record-holder in women’s shot put.
“So I’m happy that they finally made a decision to call it in the next four weeks, because it is unfair for (the IOC) to say, ‘Hey, we’re gonna go on in July,’ when we don’t know what’s going to happen with this virus.”

The IOC said that they’re examining scenarios to modify plans for the Games to go ahead as scheduled on July 24, plus changes to the start date of the Games, adding that “cancellation is not on the agenda.”
“I think there was good news today saying that cancellation wasn’t on the table,” Crew said.
The IOC and Japan’s organizing committee had consistently said the Games would go ahead as planned.

But Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe changed his tune Sunday, saying a postponement of the Tokyo Games would be unavoidable if the games cannot be held in a complete way because of the coronavirus.
The IOC’s lack of flexibility in these unprecedented times had sounded tone deaf to athletes around the world who’ve lost access to training facilities at a time they would normally be nearing top physical shape.
Stuart McMillan, a Canadian speed coach based in Phoenix, Ariz., called the IOC’s deadline “The very definition of kicking the rock down the road.”
Evan Dunfee, a world bronze medallist in race walking, read Bach’s letter to mean the Games will be delayed.

“It just takes time to figure out and co-ordinate how to move the mountain that is staging the Games and we only get one shot at announcing it so let’s make sure we get it right,” Dunfee said. “I just don’t personally see any way in which the Games can start in July.”
Canada is among numerous countries under virtual lockdown with weight rooms, pools and gyms closed, and athletes left to find creative ways to stay in shape.
Travel bans have eliminated the ability to train abroad. Numerous competitions, including countless Olympic qualifying events, have been postponed.

“It is going to take time to decide on the best alternative. I personally do hope it’s a new date and not a complete cancellation.”
Canadian paratriathlete and world champion Stefan Daniel agrees with the CPC’s position even if the Tokyo Games happen without him.
“I know how tough these calls are to make,” the 23-year-old Calgarian said. “I stand by this decision.
“Health and safety are first and foremost. If I’m home and the Games are going on, I’ll be safe. It will be tough, but we’ll be ready for the next games.”

Brent Lakatos, an 11-time world champion in wheelchair racing, was happy the IOC set a deadline for its decision.
“I understand they need more time to make a decision on what to do,” he said. “But with the trajectory of things these days, I can’t imagine they will do anything other than postpone it.”
Criticism of the IOC’s stance has grown in recent days.

Both governing bodies for track and field and swimming in the United States have called on their Olympic officials to push for a postponement, and Swimming Canada later backed its American counterpart.
National Olympic committees in Brazil, Slovenia and Norway are among those pushing for a postponement until the global health crisis subsides.
“The last week or so there’s been a little bit of a groundswell … calling for postponement, and then you see the IOC had held fairly firm and that kind of left everything sort of up in the air you didn’t really know what to believe,” said Scott Tupper, captain of Canada’s men’s field hockey team.
