Aether Revolt - Prime impressioni - Parte 2/3

Eccoci tornati con la seconda parte sulle nostre prime impressioni della nuova espansione di Magic The Gathering: Aether Revolt.

Dopo solo poche ore dall’uscita della lista completa del set di Aether Revolt, disponibili fisicamente dal 20 Gennaio 2017, in rete cominciano ad uscire alcune diverse combinazioni e sinergie, alcune bizzarre mentre altre potrebbero già trovare spazio all’interno del formato Standard.

Come di consueto alcuni prezzi, soprattutto per quanto riguarda il set di Kaladesh, stanno riscontrando un impennata, una tra tutte Saheeli Raji, che nell’arco di pochi giorni ha visto aumentare, se non raddoppiare, il proprio prezzo su siti specializzati come MagicCardMarket, una situazione per chi segue assiduamente il trend dei prezzi di Magic The Gathering era facilmente prevedibile.

Continuando con le carte di Aether Revolt che hanno attirato maggiormente l’attenzione all’interno della rete e che secondo noi continueranno a far parlare di loro troviamo Veto (Disallow):

Uscita verso la metà di Dicembre ha fatto sognare un po tutti i giocatori di qualsiasi formato previsto in Magic The Gathering. Questo nuovo Counter ha tutte le carte in regola per diventare una nuova pietra miliare, lo possiamo affermare senza pensarci troppo. 

Con un costo di lancio più che accettabile, nel formato Standard ormai è pressoché impossibile pensare di neutralizzare una magia senza spendere 3 mana, ma soprattutto allarga le nostre possibilità andando a neutralizzare eventualmente abilità attivate o abilità innescate al lancio di magie da un avversario, per quest’ultima eventualità il primo artefatto che ci viene in mente è il Panarmonico che sta cominciando ad affacciarsi nei tornei accompagnato dai colori blu e bianco.

Questo Veto troverà secondo noi sicuramente posto in quei mazzi che attualmente utilizzano Frantumare il Vuoto (Void Shatter) e Avvizzamento Magico (Spell Shrivel), ma anche in altri mazzi che attualmente hanno difficoltà con abilità attivate e abilità innescate.

Proseguendo con le novità proposte arriviamo all’unica e solitaria, ma al contempo interessante, terra all’interno di Aether Revolt, Spirale dell’Industria (Spire of Industry):

La Wizards probabilmente pensando di inserire una sola terra all’interno di questa espansione avrà ragionato sul fatto di crearne una che poteva fare la differenza, a prima vista sembra poterla fare.

Spirale dell’Industria si presterà sicuramente anche ad altri formati oltre lo Standard, ci ricorda molto da vicino Confluenza di Mana (Mana Confluence), giocata nel Dredge, che però ci mette a disposizione un mana di un qualsiasi colore ma costringendoci ogni volta a sacrificare un punto vita.

Questo non vale invece per la Spirale dell’Industria che ci lasciarci una certa libertà nel reperire mana incolore, e solo laddove riteniamo necessario aggiungere un mana di un qualsiasi colore, sacrificheremo un punto vita, a patto che sia in gioco un artefatto, quest’ultima condizione con l’uscita dei set Kaladesh e Aether Revolt non sembra essere un grande problema visto il proliferare di Artefatti anche con costi di mana molti bassi o addirittura paio a 0.

Noi l’abbiamo inserita virtualmente nei nostri futuri mazzi, sperando sia una scelta condivisa da molti nell’immediato futuro.

Concluderemo questa seconda parte dell’articolo con una carta che appena uscita non ha rapito la nostra attenzione come le precedenti, ma che giorno dopo giorno ha saputo rivelarsi per quello che è effettivamente, una carta che potrebbe regalare giocate divertenti ma soprattutto molti segnalini alle nostre creature ed Energia alla nostra riserva, parliamo quindi del Costrittore Sinuoso (Winding Constrictor):

Devo ammettere che la descrizione, per quanto semplice la meccanica, possa sembrare, ad un occhio meno esperto, un po articolata, ma effettivamente non avrei saputo trovare parole migliori, in Italiano, per descrivere l’effetto del Costrittore Sinuoso.

Una creatura che è possibile adoperare già dai primi turni visto il basso costo di lancio, un mana verde e un mana nero si possono reperire abbastanza facilmente in tutti i formati, con le numerose terre multi-colore, e nello Standard con l’ausilio di Centro dell’Etere e con l’aggiunta del recentissimo Spirale dell’Industria.

I benefici di cui si godranno una volta raggiunto il campo di battaglia possono essere innumerevoli, soffermandosi inizialmente sulla prima parte delle abilità possiamo pensare a quanto ne possono giovare creature come Battipista Instancabile (Tireless Tracker), Macabro Scorticatore (Grim Flayer), Meccatitano Rigoglioso (Verdurous Gearhulk) e Kalitas, Traditore di Ghet (Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet), mentre sulla seconda e ultima parte delle abilità a sua disposizione potremmo giovarne noi stessi, andando ad incrementare i nostri segnalini Energia, tutto questo accompagnato da una forza e costituzione di 2/3!

Da sola questa carta potrebbe risollevare, in parte, le sorti del B/G Delirium, che nell’ultimo mese ha riscontrato un calo drastico fino quasi a farlo sparire dai riflettori, ma pensiamo possa invece potenziare ulteriormente quello che sta, giorno dopo giorno, riscuotendo sempre più successo, il B/G Aggro.
