Ain El Mahboula entre celle de Géryville et celle d’El Bayadh ?

Quelle histoire aussi attachante que celle de la source d’Aïn El-Mahboula qui a pris légende dans le récit d’une qu’une femme Française qui a perdu son enfant noyé dans le lac qui fut par la suite asséché lors des épidémies des années 1940. Elle perdit la raison en cherchant son enfant tous les jours, alors elle vient se reposer prés de la fontaine. Elle aimait et se réconfortait à voir les enfants venir courir et jouer près de la source. Sa principale habitude était de voir les enfants jouer. Tous les gens qui venaient boire ou passaient à côté de cette source, voyaient cette Dame assise là. Ainsi est né le nom de «Aïn El-Mahboula» composée d’un bassin rectangulaire d’une dizaine de mètres construite en pierre, avec un mur le séparant de deux bassins carrés couvert d’un préau avec poutres et tuiles, habituellement a ces deux bassins lavoir, les femmes pouvaient laver le linge et la laine à volonté. Les filles en âge de mariage profitaient de ces moments de sortie vers ce lieu, pour se mettre en valeur et suscitaient un intérêt à une éventuelle demande en mariage.

La source se faisant ensuite valoir par son eau tiède, dégageant même de la vapeur lors des hivers rigoureux et fraîche en été, d’où cette appellation, c’est-à-dire la source de la folle une source d’eau réputée dans les mœurs des habitants pour la guérison de tout enfant atteint d’une inflammation de la conjonctive, ce qui nécessite qu’au petit matin l’enfant plonge le visage, trempe ses yeux grands ouverts dans cette eau et la guérison divine serait effective…

Par ailleurs, il serait bien utile de noter que pour l’ensemble des gens de Géryville en diaspora «Aïn El-Mahboula» représente un symbole identitaire, un repère nostalgique  qui dans leurs ensembles évoquent avec un sourire le souvenir de Ain El Mahboula avec toute la tendresse de l’enfance.

Personnellement cette source a balisé toute mon enfance et symbolise pour moi comme, je pense, pour de nombreux natifs de la région, le cordon ombilical qui relie le passé et le présent, s’abreuver d’eau fraîche à volonté, plonger son visage tôt le matin dans cette eau limpide, homogène et transparente en un corps pur, tiède en hiver et froide en été, en guise de remède contre la maladie des yeux, remplir chaque jour des récipients entiers pour ravitailler la famille, cette fontaine apprenais aux enfants à connaître un nouveau jour et une immense joie en jouant pleinement sur son site, rencontrer les amis et voisins autour d’une source d’eau naturelle, voilà les premiers souvenirs qui se bousculent dans l’esprit encore vif de tout natif d’El Bayadh lorsqu’il évoque la fontaine Ain el Mahboula.,

Préserver le patrimoine : un travail d’orfèvre

Sans aucun doute rénover le patrimoine ancien, c’est retrouver l’essence même d’une structure érodée par le temps ou détruit par les mains humaines,  pour la mettre en valeur, la protéger et faire ressortir par ce renouveau son caractère exceptionnel et intemporel. Dès lors que le patrimoine de cette fontaine constitue un héritage à transmettre aux générations futures  la  restitution est une étape de l’opération de restauration à valoriser le site en prenant soin de ne pas le dénaturer, à respecter l’aspect initial de l’édifice. Il s’agit surtout de respecter la morphologie du lieu,

Pourquoi faut-il préserver le patrimoine de cette fontaine ?

Parce qu’elle fait l’âme de la ville et c’est bien cela que les Sahâb el Bayadh ont regretté d’avoir perdu.

Il sera bon de savoir qu’il n’y a aucune difficulté technique à restaurer une fontaine même si cela nécessite un vrai travail d’artisan tout en jugeant utile d’identifier d’abord « très clairement » la valeur historique ainsi que la toponymie de la fontaine, afin d’établir un diagnostic des dégradations de l’édifice en vue d’une restauration plus efficace d’un héritage du passé dont nous profitons aujourd’hui et que nous transmettons aux générations à venir, nous sommes des êtres vivants avec une culture et une mémoire.

Évolués, nous nous plaisons à être et évoluer dans un milieu qui soit le fruit de nos origines, et auquel nous apportons le meilleur de ce que pourra faire notre génération par la valorisation de la notion de mémoire collective,

Heureusement nous avons pu hériter de la génération précédente ce patrimoine formidable qui fascine les résidents et les visiteurs.

Les récentes décisions prises par les responsables locaux, sont de nature à mettre en évidence le travail de restauration qui doit avant tout faire preuve de prudence en respectant la préservation de l’authenticité et la réversibilité des interventions, mais aussi accepter de garantir la conservation matérielle de l’objet sans affecter son intégrité ni effacer les marques du passé.

Les travaux de réhabilitation devront ressusciter cette source et la sortir de dessous des dégâts,

Le projet de restauration  consiste à assurer :

la remise en état à l’identique d’une partie des 3 bassins traditionnels et presque centenaire.

sa visibilité au public par une espace plus large et aéré.

Usage de matériel d’origine  destiné à protéger, du fait de son intérêt historique, artistique ou architectural pour assurer une longévité des structures.

Or il est fortement triste de constater que les travaux entrepris dans la réhabilitation de la source d’Ain El Mahboula n’on pas fait l’objet d’un travail artistique, tout juste un travail de maçonnerie sans art ni manière, avec des produits qui ne pourront en aucune cas permettre à cette source de traverser quelques hivers rigoureux.

Il semblerait que ce soit un octogénaire volontaire qui ait accompli « l’œuvre », mais helas le résultat est loin d’être satisfaisant. La couleur, quant à elle, s’en ressent fortement, ni ne s’y prêt mais se perd dans des tonalités absolument étrangères aux styles de l’édifice.

L’eau de la source d’El Mahboula coule, elle coule aujourd’hui lentement entre l’authenticité du passé et la modernité du présent si ce n’est là que l’essentiel.  Mais pas de cette manière…….. !

Filipino boss, 29 held in Mahboula gambling den

KUWAIT CITY, March 1: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department raided one of the apartments in Mahboula and busted a gambling den and arrested 29 people, including 19 women – Arabs and Asians, reports Al-Qabas daily. A security source said the mastermind behind the gambling activity is believed to be a Filipino who is said to be a professional.

The CID sources said the authorities acting on information got permission from the Public Prosecution and raided the apartment and arrested the suspects. They have been referred to the relevant authorities for investigation and further interrogations.

The sources pointed out the CID men found 5,000 dinars believed to be used in gambling activity and different types of tools used in gambling. The daily added, the network is internationally active.
