The Belarus Football Live League has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1992. The league was established shortly after Belarus gained independence from the Soviet Union and has since become one of the country's most popular sports leagues.

The league has also featured talented players such as Belarusian national team members Sergei Kornilenko and Igor Stasevich.

Michy Batshuayi’s double helped Belgium to a routine victory
Belgium moved closer to reaching Euro 2020 with a routine 4-0 win in San Marino to move eight points clear of third place in Group I.
Belgium kept up their perfect start to the group but had to wait until the 43rd minute to make the breakthrough, when Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi scored from the spot.
After half-time, Dries Mertens doubled their advantage, before ex-Spurs and West Brom winger Nacer Chadli added a third and an injury-time fourth from Batshuayi rounded off the scoring.
Tumblr media
Artem Dzyuba got Russia level against Scotland at Hampden Park
Russia stayed three points behind them in Group I with a 2-1 win in Scotland, while Kazakhstan’s faint home of qualifying remained alive as they held Cyprus to a 1-1 draw earlier in the day.
Germany missed the chance to displace Northern Ireland at the top of Group C as Netherlands came from behind to stun them 4-2 in Hamburg, with Donyell Malen enjoying a dream debut to put the visitors ahead in the game for the first time. Elsewhere in the group, a last-minute Belarus goal from Maksim Skavysh denied Estonia a first point of the qualifying campaign with a 2-1 defeat.
Slovenia surprised Group G leaders Poland 2-0, with goals in either half from Aljaz Struma and Andraz Sporar, to move a point within second-placed Austria, who thrashed Latvia 6-0 in Salzburg with former West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic scoring twice.
Wales left it late to keep their qualifying hopes well and truly in tact as Gareth Bale’s 84th-minute goal gave them a 2-1 win over Azerbaijan in Cardiff, but Croatia ensured they kept themselves in the top two with a convincing 4-0 win in Slovakia, which saw Dejan Lovren on the scoresheet.

Tumblr media

Belgium moved closer to reaching Euro 2020 with a routine 4-0 win in San Marino to move eight points clear of third place in Group I.
Belgium kept up their perfect start to the group but had to wait until the 43rd minute to make the breakthrough, when Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi scored from the spot.
Tumblr media
After half-time, Dries Mertens doubled their advantage, before ex-Spurs and West Brom winger Nacer Chadli added a third and an injury-time fourth from Batshuayi rounded off the scoring.
Russia stayed three points behind them in Group I with a 2-1 win in Scotland, while Kazakhstan's faint home of qualifying remained alive as they held Cyprus to a 1-1 draw.
Germany missed the chance to displace Northern Ireland at the top of Group C as Netherlands scored four times in 32 second-half minutes to stage a 4-2 comeback win.
The Germans went ahead with former Arsenal forward Serge Gnabry netting his fourth goal in four qualifiers in the ninth minute.
The Dutch came back stronger after the break, scoring twice in seven minutes with Frenkie De Jong in the 59th and a Jonathan Tah own goal.
Germany levelled with a harshly-awarded 73rd minute Toni Kroos penalty but the visitors got revenge for their 3-2 loss in Amsterdam in March, striking through Donyell Malen in the 79th after a quick combination left the German defence frozen.
And Georginio Wijnaldum completed the win in stoppage time after a fine pick-out by Memphis Depay.
The result leaves Germany on nine points from four games, three behind leaders Northern Ireland, who they face on Monday in Belfast. The Dutch move up to six points from three games
Wales left it late to keep their qualifying hopes well and truly in tact as Gareth Bale's 84th-minute goal gave them a 2-1 win over Azerbaijan in Cardiff, but Croatia ensured they kept themselves in the top two with a convincing 4-0 win in Slovakia, which saw Dejan Lovren on the scoresheet.
Bale struck his 32nd goal for Wales six minutes from time, rising to head home after Joe Allen's shot had been deflected high into the Cardiff air.
Wales had been gifted a first-half lead when Pavlo Pashayev scored a bizarre own goal, but Mahir Emreli punished a sloppy home display with a 58th-minute equaliser.
Azerbaijan are ranked 109th in the world - a whopping 85 places below Wales - and their only competitive away wins came in the Faroe Islands and San Marino.

Arsenal thump BATE to reach Europa League last 16
Arsenal reached the last 16 of the Europa League by comfortably seeing off BATE Borisov 3-0 on Thursday and overturning a first-leg deficit that had threatened one of the tournament favourites with elimination.
BATE came into the clash at the Emirates with hopes of an upset after beating Arsenal 1-0 in Belarus last week, but the hosts were level on aggregate after just three minutes when Zakhar Volkov sliced Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s low cross past Denis Scherbitski in his own goal.
Emery’s side poured forward and put themselves deservedly ahead in the tie when Shkodran Mustafi thumped home a header six minutes before the break.
Maksim Skavysh missed a good chance to put BATE ahead on away goals when Arsenal failed to clear three minutes after the restart, but another powerful header, this time from Sokratis on the hour mark, put the Gunners into Friday’s draw.
“We wanted this result but also we wanted to play for our supporters here, to improve and build our mentality after the first match away, which was not good. We did our best to come back (in the tie) and the team worked very well,” Emery told BT Sport. “The players did our game plan as we wanted and they arrived in the box a lot with a lot of crosses. And we showed the efficiency we went, which we didn’t have away.”
Arsenal will be joined by another of the tournament favourites in Napoli after Carlo Ancelotti’s team, who have struggled for goals recently, breezed to a 2-0 win over FC Zurich that saw them win 5-1 on aggregate. Adam Ounas starred on the night for the Serie A outfit after laying on Simone Verdi’s 43rd-minute opener before scoring the hosts’ second with 15 minutes left.
“We reached our objective with a serious performance, without causing ourselves too many problems,” said Ancelotti. “I’m satisfied because we’ve refound our scoring touch … sometimes we’re too altruistic (in front of goal).

EURO 2020 qualifying live: Germany vs. Netherlands | Sports| German football and major international sports news | DW
+++++Refresh the page for the latest updates+++++
Germany 0-0 The Netherlands
KICK-OFF!
Why a three-man backline?
Joachim Löw: “Against such strong teams and such an attacking force like Holland we’ve got to strengthen things at the back and sure up central areas. We’ve gone with a three at the back to combat those points – they’re fast and bring stability to our approach.”
Löw explains frontline decision
There was a suggestion that Timo Werner’s starting berth wasn’t guaranteed, but Joachim Löw has explained his thinking behind opting for the in-form Leipzig striker: “Brandt had a bit of a knock in training, but Timo Werner is perhaps better in rhythm and has the confidence of five Bundesliga goals behind him as well.”
Klinsmann backs Gnabry
Following Löw’s comments that Gnaby “is always going to play with me”, Klinsmann shared his thoughts from an ex-player’s perspective: “It’s a great feeling as a player when you have the full faith of the head coach, but he still has to go out there and prove himself as a top-class footballer.”
Not so fond memories
Jürgen Klinsmann has been talking to German braodcaster RTL and reminiscing on the clash between these two great footballing nations in the semi-finals from EURO 1988. Klinsmann won a penalty after a clumsy challenge from Frank Rijkaard. Lothar Matthäus coverted from the spot, but after Ronald Koeman levelled the scores with a spot-kick of his own, Marco van Basten grabbed a late winner. “He was the best player in the world at the time and that defeat hurt,” said Klinsmann.
Update from Group C!
In tonight’s earlier kick-off, Belarus nicked a 2-1 win over Estonia thanks to an injury-time winner from Maksim Skavysh. That result leaves Belarus level on points with the Netherlands, who have played three less games than Mikhail Markhel’s men.
Ones to watch: Serge Gnabry
Joachim Löw had plenty of positive words to share when asked for his thoughts on Serge Gnabry. The Bayern winger has been battling minor injuries at the start of the 2019/20 campaign, but has the full faith of his national team head coach.
A monster rivalry down the years!
Both teams find themselves in flux at different stages of their respective reinventions, but for the Netherlands, tonight’s game is a must win if they don’t want to leave their EURO 2020 qualification hopes hanging by a thread. Let’s not forget this is a Dutch side that has missed out on the last two major international tournaments.
Germany line-up: CONFIRMED!
There are literally no surprises in the Germany starting line-up as Joachim Löw goes with his, arguably, strongest selection.
The Netherlands line-up: CONFIRMED!
Any excuse to watch a Gomez goal
Feel free to hit the button for old time’s sake.
Waldschmidt set for bow?
If he takes to the pitch tonight, Luca Waldschmidtcould become the ninth SC Freiburg player to earn a cap for die Nationalmannschaft. Waldschmidt top scored at the summer’s U21 European Championships and, with 11 goals in his last ten games for club and country, but game time is unlikely tonight.
Niklas Süle vs Virgil van Dijk!
UEFA’s 2019 Player of the Year Virgil van Dijk was asked about his German counterpart during his pre-match press conference and said he’d enjoyed “some nice battles” with Niklas Süle. The pair have faced off three times and have one win apiece to their names, but the Dutch captain had words of praise for the man four years his junior. “Süle is a great defender – he doesn’t play for Bayern without reason.”
Who will step up in Gnabry’s absence?
With five Bundesliga goals to his name already following a hat-trick against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Timo Werner has been in sensational form at the start of the season and is expected to replace the injured Leroy Sane. However, tonight’s clash with the Dutch could also present a chance for the likes of Julian Brandt, Kai Havertz or potential debutant Luca Waldschmidt to impress.
Germany vs. the Netherlands: The most recent meeting
In case you need to refresh your memory of what happened the last time these two rival sides met…
Possible line-up: Germany
Neuer – Ginter, Süle, Tah – Klostermann, Kimmich, Kroos, Schulz – Gnabry, Reus, Werner
Possible line-up: The Netherlands
Cillessen – Veltman, de Ligt, van Dijk, Blind – de Roon, de Jong, Wijnaldum – Promes, Depay, Babel
Joachim Löw is back!
Joachim Löw missed Germany’s last two EURO 2020 qualifiers at the end of last season aftersuffering a training accident that led to him being hospitalised. Both he and Germany appear to be in good health heading into the Group C double header with the Netherlands and Northern Ireland. Antonio Rüdiger, Julian Draxler and Leroy Sane – all out with injury – are the only big-name absentees.
Hello and welcome…
….to DW’s live coverage of the EURO 2020 qualifier between Germany and the Netherlands. These two sides have already clashed once in Group C with die Nationalmannschaft walking away with a 3-2 win thanks to an unlikely hero. Will tonight’s match in Hamburg follow suit?
