I think about 90% of the “SSO is AAA because SSE make a yearly profit now” arguments would die down if people around here learned that AAA is, in practice, more of a company thing rather than a game thing, and that it’s not something games develop into, it’s something they always are

And when your company expected you to “be a success if you reached 50k registrations”, you can’t exactly claim to be anything but lucky as hell

#Other than the argument itself being so fucking wrong on So many levels to begin with #Since it's what making a profit actually means in contextual as hell #And also they only started doing that like 7 years after the game released #Other than it simply revealing that you have NO idea what AAA is supposed to mean to begin with #But that's a Whole other post about a very different topic #I can't remember if it was 50k either for that matter but it was a Low amount of registrations #Welcome to today's Manda Weeekly101 Dashboard #Manda talks about video games because I've had a lot of thoughts about them today for Some Reason #But ye tldr horse game won the became popular lottery and now we're here a decade later and some of y'all still think this game was some #huge corporate scheme to steal money from 5 y/os #And sure the company itself loves to pretend that it had some epic women mission trademark from the get go #But no #It got lucky
