For just $1019.00 Surf Green 1957 Motorola 56H Turbine Vintage Tube AM Radio Mint! DESCRIPTION: This amazing mint antique radio in a rare surf green color is worth checking out. The cabinet is factory original urea plastic which is a hard inflexible plastic that predates polycarbonate plastics found everywhere today. The condition of this particular cabinet is mint. This type of cabinet was very susceptible to heat cracks along the top. This is one of the only Motorola Turbines I have ever seen without the crack. I added a heat shield inside to prevent the heat crack from ever happening in the future. This vintage tabletop tube AM radio, manufactured by Motorola in 1957, is also in excellent+ working condition. This design is called the turbine radio for obvious reasons. The clear cone is shiny and original and securely attached. The clear plastic cone in clear and free of any blemish. This cone is very fragile and this one is in fantastic condition for an antique of this age. No other major scratches on the nose cone. No chips or dents or discoloration any where on the cabinet. All original sea foam green is very much sought after for its rarity. Original factory molded color not painted. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Nice deep rich tone. This radio is over 50 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The golden tuning dial does have several scratches due to wear and tear. This adds to the overall vintage mystic of the piece. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stati...
