#Miklan’s dynamics between Matthias and/or Sylvain

Reached Ch9 of AG, posting these tags in advance before I reach Rancid Gautier Man death

I like to think it was Lambert's wife dying that reconciled him and Matthias. Just as 1 similar (family dynamics) torr them apart (tho only in a personalsense as professionally it's working) , another similarity can bring them back.

Lambert's wife died about two or so years after Sylvain was born ( since he's older than DImitri, Felix and Ingrid, as he was born in 1160, which is the same year the plague that ravaged Faerghus happened) so at that point I would think Lambert and Matthias are still close -- their fall out probably happened some time after she died and the kids are a little older.

In my Lambert Lives AU, their fallout would have happened in the time between Lambert and Dimitri surviving Duscur and before the kiddos went to the Academy ( which also, around that time, Miklan was finally disowned )

I have it that their reconciliation happens some time during the war -- because despite that rift between them, they both still care about each other. Matthias has even shown in canon, his stout loyalty to the crown and to Lambert despite his cold nature -- so the same would apply to my AU. I also feel like Sylvain and Dimitri would be the ones to sort of nudge their father's to finally talk things out, because god knows how many times Rodrigue had probably tried but it never worked out. His friends are two of the most stubborn men he knows. And he means that affectionately.
