Snow flurries and showers will persist today across the Appalachian Mountains and into the northeastern region of the country. Accumulations will generally be light, ranging from just a dusting to half an inch. These wintry conditions will taper off tonight, leading to a quieter weekend with milder temperatures. Meanwhile, a snowstorm is currently affecting areas in Colorado, including Denver, Boulder, and the Palmer Divide. Significant snowfall is expected, with several inches accumulating in Denver and Boulder. Some areas may even receive up to four or five inches of snow before the storm diminishes later this afternoon. Looking ahead, the next weather system of note will be a clipper system moving through the Great Lakes and northeastern regions on Monday into Tuesday.
