Mold is a more serious problem than you may realize. Not only can it be a health hazard, but it often indicates an underlying problem such as moisture build-up behind walls or underneath floorboards. In most areas, your landlord is legally required to remedy mold problems promptly. Get your landlord to solve the mold problem To start the ball rolling on solving your mold problem, give your landlord written notice of the problem. In the notice, describe the problem and what kind of help you?re looking for. Your lease, state law or a local ordinance may specify how long your landlord has to fix a mold problem. If so, you may want to include that time frame in your note in a non-threatening way. If your landlord ignores your request, delays too long or doesn't take adequate action to solve the problem, you may have legal remedies.? Three of the most common next steps include: * Consulting an attorney to find out how you can either force your landlord to solve the problem or terminate your lease and pursue reimbursement for associated costs; * Checking with your local tenants? union or other consumer rights organization dealing with landlord tenant issues; or * Filing a complaint with your local health department or building inspector. * Make an effort to resolve the problem amicably with your landlord, but remember that mold is more than a cosmetic problem, and that even if you've temporarily cleaned up the visible mold, the problem may still exist. Don?t put your health at risk by ignoring the problem! #rental_apartment_ #unit #tenement #rent #housing #lease #room #loft #cabin #tenant #renting #flat #sublease #flats #rents #flatmate #sublet #rooms #taxi #lodge #inn #box #furnished #hire #livery #apt #duplex #concession #map #tenancy #estates #MOLD #mold_inspection #mold_testing_company #mold_removal_company #mold_assessment #toxic_mold #certified_mold_inspector #mold_specialist #mold_inspector #home_enviro #mold_inspection #mold_testing #mold_removal #air_quality_testing #mold_inspectior_near_me #testing_for_mold #home_inspection #boca_raton #fort_lauderdale #parkland_fl #deerfield_beach #pompano_beach #broward_county_fl #hollywood_florida #pembroke_pines_fl #tamarac_fl #margate_fl #coral_springs_fl #weston_fl #coconut_creek_fl #light_house_point_fl

New Jersey Lead Paint Testing- LCA
Lead paint inspections by a licensed and certified environmental inspection service are required by law in the City of New Jersey, the State of New York, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for landlords of rental units (houses or apartments) occupied by families with children under the age of 6. Lead-Free inspections begin with a visual inspection and floor plan. All painted surfaces are tested, including walls, baseboards, windowsills, moldings, handrails, and doors.
