I have a soft spot for NYTW Orpheus and Eurydice actually. Wanted to draw smg with them for a while. Got you two versions: rendered and sketchy cos I kinda love both. Used a photo from the production as a reference, also recorded a timelapse for the coloring part (because I forgot to turn on the recording for the sketch huh). Both ref and a timelapse are under the cut.

I loved Luca so much I wanted to draw a fanart. The movie so touching and cute and it has these summer vibes, check it out!

Made this a little challenge for myself, so I tried to keep the style true to the original movie.

P.S. I don't have a constant way of coloring stuff, so today I went with no texture and sharp shadows. Tomorrow? Who knows.

my first experience (and probably the last if they don't manage to be better) to comifuro

Okay this will be an essay of my rant to this fucking event. AND DISCLAIMER before someone could sue me *cough cough UU ITE*, this whole post isn’t made to cast down the event nor the organizer. I wrote this as a study case, since I’m not only a japanese themed event enthusiast but also an event management graduate.

First of all, the ticketing. They open some ticketing booth, idk how many but from their instagram post there was only 5 tix booths. This is fucking stupid, doesn't make any sense, since they do prepare 13.000 tix a day. Can't they do math??? 13.000 divided into 5, so 1 booth must handle 2.600 ppl. Considering the ticketing process should be handled in 1-2 minutes, so you get how much time for those 2.600 ppl per booth to get their tix. Wow. Imo they should open like 10 on-site tix booth for 13.000 people.

Okay there was presale tix, which was sold online. But are the presale tix buyer could pass the gate faster? Nope, because the event only had one entrance gate, both for the presale tix and onsite tix holder. WOW a huge red flag.

Then, the event officers. I can barely see them, like in the whole basement queue, I mean the three-times-zigzag queue (yes crowded is an understatement for the queue), there was only one person. ONE. They also didn't really communicative. I didn’t catch if they holding a HT or not to communicate with each other. It was when me and my friends fed up (after 3 fucking hours) and walked out from the queue when we knew the lines outside the hall was actually chaos, the tickets were sold out (and ppl still lined up until the basement area bcs they didn't know this). The officer at the basement didn't say anything about this.

But I think the most problematic issue is the lack of information from the organizer. You see, the Instagram account is not really informative. When other event is actively post literally everything that happens on site, they didn't. There was no so-called live report Instagram Stories, so the visitors didn't know how huge was the crowd until they see it by themself. The queue keep growing numbers because people didn't really know what happened at the venue. OH did I mention the connections at the venue sucks?? The signal said 4G but it's really hard for me to text on Whatsapp. Well, maybe that's why the organizer couldn't even post any stories, but that can be fixed by preparing an alternative wifi router or something for themselves.

I guess the organizer failed to see how big the excitements of the market. Comifuro 15 was delayed for 2 years, so it just fair for people to get overhyped by their comeback. But I heard from other friends who came on the second day, it was much better than the first one, even if the crowd already gathered since 6 AM in the morning (lmao). At least they tried to fix their crowd management.

It's such a shame for a big doujin/indie artist exhibition to ended up like this. I went there to buy some goods from my fav artists, to support their works. I wish they hire a professional event organizer tho, not because I'm a practitioner in this field, but because I think it could be better if it was organized in the right hand. Shameless self-promo aside, I'm more than happy to share my knowledge and solutions, to support this weebs community into the better, of course as an event specialist. im not gonna rant about jyp in this post bc im sure PLENTY of you have alreayd done that and trust me, i have too. lets just think about how emotionally crushing this must have been on the boys :(((

chan had to not only be told that he had to get better at EVERYTHING (srsly tho jyp what ht e fuck) but he had to watch 2 of his members get eliminated. as if jyp couldnt spell it out any clearer that he thought chan’s effort and hard work was for nothing. i cant even begin to imagine how hard this must be for him, thinking that he probably failed his team and that it’s all his fault.

woojin ahsdASDJKAS okay listne here BITHC woojin hasn’t been practicing for years upon years just for jyp to say “lmao ur not main vocal material” suck my ASS jyp if youre fucking looking for main vocal material in your company then i think its safe to say that you need to remove yourself from the music career then :) woojin literally helped other members out with their vocals and jyp has the balls to say hes not good enough wha theh fu cfdjgksvhf it hurts sm to see woojin look so disappointed in himself when he really shouldnt be ajdkdlsls

changbin literally had to see the 2 members of his group get eliminated. he looked so broken when felix got eliminated it actually fucking hurt my heart just to hit the unpause button and see him torn up when he was hugging felix. when he kept saying he was sorry to felix i almost lost it there was so much desperation and regret in his voice it was so painful to see him so broken and blaming himself for losing his group members

hyunjin, oh my god where do i even start idc if im sounding biased rn but this kid had to go through TWO elimination scares, both in the first mission and after the busking like how the FUCK do you think he feels rn?? im so torn knowing that hes probably scared that he’ll be next or that he’s not cut out for the team with all the (STUPID ASS) criticism he’s gotten from jyp ahsdkjadajsk i srsly hope he’s not losing confidence in himself :(((

jisung now has seen both woojin and jeongin at risk of elimination i swear to the lord his heart must be absolutely crushed right now. can you even imagine how guilty he must be feeling right now that he couldn’t help those two even THOUGH HE REALLY DID A SHIT TON like asdjhkASDAHSKJ

minho suffered through SO much unjustified criticism from jyp it scares me to think about how much confidence he must have lost because of it ajkd he worked his ass off improving his rap, dance, and vocals in such a short amount of time but jyp just tossed that all out the window and u know all those memes on tumblr abt minho whooping jyp in the future? that better happen soon for realsies :’)

jeongin has srsly been in fear of that disgusting crusty ass old snake man jyp ever since the first mission bc jyp is a blind ass cuck who thinks its cool to scare the living daylights out of jeongin. this poor kid has had to go through so much criticism throughout the show bc apparently jyp cant see that he’s actually IMPROVINGA SHIT TON and is still young asf so he still has time to learn. dhaskdjas i hope he regains his confidence and stands up to that crusty old man soon >:(((

seungmin, i thank rvery star in the sky that jyp has for the most part kept his grimy hands off of seungmin but i remember this onenficcking part i just cant rememebe r WHERE but he looked so crushed and it was all bc of the one and only snake

felix, i needa take a breather. you can’t fcking tell me that felix isn’t a hard worker. this boy who’s not even 18 yet freaking left his home miles and miles away with little knowledge about the language nor korea itself, all just for a shot at debuting under jyp. he poured all his blood sweat and tears just to practice his dancing for hours and hours, and when he wasn’t dancing, he was practicing korean for the few months that he was in korea. you can even fking SEE HOW HE WAS PRACTICING HIS PRONUNCIATION AND RAP FOR THE PERFORMANCE and yet jyp doesnt see that he basically just threw away all of felixs hard work and boy oh boy i cannot begin to imagine how felix felt being told he just wasnt good enough. idk someone probably gonna argue that “if he wants to debut he shoulda gotten better at korean” but see the flaw in YA LOGIC IS THAT he’s been there for very VERY few months. a language can take upwards of years to learn, yet hes been doing it every minute of every day over the span of 2-3 months and it’s not always about how good you are at something, it’s about how HARD you work to get there. it doesnt matter if he’s not perfect at korean or if he made mistakes in the choreo, it matters that he actually works really fucking hard to improve and jyp overlooked all of that with his ugly ass sunglasses

ANGRY JASPRE/JASRP FANSESSION RANT BECAUSE IT CANT FIT ON TWITTER

OK so i was in this fansession with my fankid cameron and im still super bitter how everything WENT because the mods were god frikkin awful

but backstory first

there was this glitch in the session that was caused by one person which caused their session to become doomed (it was predestined that this session would be doomed at the end since this was a prequel rp)

my kid went on to make a pact with the horrorterrors to obtain sinister shadow-based magic in exchange to seek out/eliminate the glitch for the ht’s (i was super into mobsterswitch/problem sleuth atm) 

back to the rant

but the thing was that the mods were so goddamn into their SET plot that they made while consulting with NOBODY but themselves 

so they borderline godmodded in order to make their plot still relevant including ignoring cameron’s thief of heart powers when he used them

like i realize that stealing souls is an op ability and i never really expected it to 100% work unless someone wanted to do some cool new plot business... but every time i used them their characters would shake them off and not even become weakened by them 

i literally remembered this one instance a character was frozen in time, cameron tried to stick a sword in them while time was still frozen instead of just firing bullets at them (pmmm style) but was 100% ignored while the plot continued the way it was “supposed to” 

the mods never fucking discussed the plot with the others and left them in the dark 

look its cool to be unpredictable but they literally ignored the actions that went off their course 

which is literally the POINT OF RP to work with your rp group to come up with new scenarios while you write a story with them

and the conclusion was bullshit because there was barely any buildup?? and while it was a doomed session there was no opportunity to fight back or “win” literally anything 

which was completely unfair to the other rpers because the rp was really only fun for like maybe 3 ppl 

and then cameron was just so done w/ everything he literally let himself get erased from existence 

its literally been like 2-3 years and im still BITTER bc i love cameron and hes breaking my heart
