oc ask blog? art side blog? at @ketupa-zeylonensis. look at my art im proud of it. and send me questions.
can and will tag things as blorbo from my shows/games/ocs you get the point
DO NOT repost/use my art without my permission.
thats it. enjoy or don't up to you byeeeee
common blorbo tags/oc lore stuff below cut:
"mintverse" or "tfslaa" is my story about a bunch of vessels that are all alternate timelines of eachother stuck in a time loop, mainly featuring:
Hare [killed radiance and now a SCARY EVIL VILLAIN!! on earth]
Finch [adopted by pk]
Sparrow [killed radiance then adopted by pk]
Nightjar/NJ [ended up in minecraft] [only sort of canon now]
Stoat [ended up in flight rising]
Saffron [from the previous loop. trying to overthrow mint]
Mint [the person in charge of the time loop. lives in flight rising]
Rach [the very first of them. helped mint start the time loop]
Thorns [mint but before she combined with rach]
"solverse" or anything relating to the "castledwellers" is my story about a minecraft bird who's putting the god of fate back together. overlaps with mintverse a lot. mainly featuring:
Solace and Remnant [the minecraft bird and the shattered god of fate. sol is dead and remy is the only thing keeping her alive and she intends to repay that by whatever means possible.]
Virion and Vrallo [they're literally just chilling. sol's favorite mortal and voidling who take care of fates's castle while she's gone. anything that refers to "The Game" is referring to when they all met, btw.]
Dearth and Scribbles [sol's ex-partners who sold their souls to multiverse satan and got mad at her about it. can you believe that?]
Sum [killed sol but they're cool now. lives with mint in flight rising]
Pastel-Purple [wol but time loop about it. mutual seething hatred with mint]
Tarlind [she's not really a castledweller i just love her forever. the real azem out of these wols]
Helpingway [also not a castledweller but whatever. loporrit wol!]
Dark-Blue [she's also literally just chilling. not even in the castle.]
Blue Lights [the cooler dark-blue. official chronicler of fate but actually just bug tests dimensions for god aka going on cool adventures instead of chronicling things. also my sona]
"solverse1" or "pre-cascade" refers to anything that happened before sol died and "solverse2" or "post-cascade" anything after. i'll have better names for it eventually probably
and other general multiverse stuff:
There are beings which lie outside of the cycle once set by Fate. These are the three Voids, Fates itself, and Axolotl, as well as anyone borne from or chosen by them.
Light and Dark, The All-Expelling and All-Consuming, The True Voids, whatever you want to call them, are the Empty and the Darkness.
The Empty just hates everything and wants to be left alone forever. This isn't going so well. Its children are the Audience.
The Darkness wants to eat everything but no one wants to help it so that isn't going so well either. Its children are the Souleaters, and technically every dark voidling is descended from it as well.
Order and Chaos, Code and Flesh, and whatever else they choose to present with at the time, are Fates and the Corruption.
The Corruption wants to take over the multiverse but all the other gods hate it. ESPECIALLY Fates. Its children are the Guides, Puppeteers, and Watchers, and every other awful tentacle monster in existence.
Fates got murdered lol. It's not very happy about this. It was in charge of arranging and maintaining dimensions/timelines. Its children are the Actors.
The God of Gods, Axolotl or Xotl or any other name, the Obscured, is just, like, chilling.
Dimensions are generally split into two categories; codeworlds and fleshworlds [name pending. i hate it]. I'm sure you get the gist of that I'm not explaining the specifics here
After Fates was shattered, the loose denizens of the multiverse took its shards to create great cities where all could live in peace. This actually worked out pretty well [for everyone except Fates].
One of these is the City of Origins, aka the Minecraft city. Darkie ate it lol. Sol is from there.
and that's the lore!!! yippee!!!!
oh yeah and 🌌 is the blorbo tag for when i don't feel like sharing who the blorbo is
also, my flight rising lore and ffxiv lore take place in the same dimension. this is why mint and pastel hate each other

Jersey Cocktails - The Sparkling Champagne Of Hard Apple Cider
Tumblr media
The Jersey Cocktail Is Champagne's Cider Cousin
The Jersey Cocktail is one of the oldest mixed drinks you've probably never heard of. Made with hard cider, sugar and bitters, the Jersey is basically a Champagne Cocktail spirited by apples instead of grapes.
In fact, by mixing this drink with a hard cider injected with carbon dioxide to form CO2 bubbles or one prepared using methods similar to how champagne is made, the Jersey Cocktail will sparkle and be the life of the party. The typical alcohol percent by volume for hard cider at 5-7% is about half the ABV for champagne, but by the time you add sugar and bitters to their similarly mild flavors, the Jersey cocktail could easily pass for its more famous cousin.
And often did. Its rumored that when America walked into a bar back then and probably still even now, sparkling apple wine was sometimes substituted for champagne on the unsuspecting, especially during shortages.
No need for any tomfoolery though. The Jersey cocktail a fine drink on its own and even better when spiked with a little applejack or apple whiskey to stiffen it up to the level of the Champagne cocktail or beyond.
History Of The Jersey Cocktail
Both the Champagne and Jersey Cocktails were included in the first bartending book ever published called How To Mix Drinks or The Bon-Vivant's Companion by Jerry Thomas (1862). Swap spirits and the recipes are nearly identical. Replace the cider with soda water and the Jersey Cocktail becomes the Soda Cocktail, recipe numbers 114 and 115 in the manual, respectively (the champagne cocktail is no. 110).
Early Jersey Cocktail Recipes
Jersey Cocktail (Bon-Vivant's Companion - 1862):
1 tsp sugar
2 dashes bitters
Fill a small bar glass with hard cider, sugar and bitters. Mix well and top with lemon peel.
Jersey Cocktail (Gentleman's Table Guide - 1871):
1 tsp powdered sugar or candy
2 dashes bitters
Fill a tumbler one third full of shaved ice. Add sugar and bitters. Top off with cyder; shake well and garnish with lemon peel.
Note: This nineteenth century recipe calls for cyder which is widely listed as chiefly a British spelling variation of cider and the Gentleman's Table Guide was published in London, England which is part of Great Britain. However, in the book The History And Virtues Of Cyder by Roger K. French (1982), cyder is specifically described as the juice from the first pressing of the apples, similar to extra virgin olive oil, as a separate distinction of cyder versus cider.
Jersey Cocktail (Illustrated Bartenders' Manual - 1882):
¾ tsp sugar
3 - 4 dashes Boker's bitters
Use a large bar glass to mix together the sugar, bitters and a wine glass of good cider with several lumps of broken ice. Then strain into a cocktail glass garnishing with a cherry or medium size olive and twisting a piece of lemon peel on top before serving.
The author Harry Johnson states; “This is a favorable drink with Jersey people.”
The book's later edition in 1882 doubles the sugar and eliminates the cherries and olives as a garnish option.
Behind The Bar - How To Mix A Jersey Cocktail At Home
In 1908, The World's Drinks & How To Mix Them by William ‘Cocktail’ Boothby suggested following the same general formula as most above along with a little applejack for flavoring. We concur and since most apple cider is plenty sweet enough already prefer using a sugar cube in the bottom which can be rinsed away on any seconds.
(New) Jersey Cocktail:
2 oz chilled applejack
2 - 3 oz chilled hard apple cider
1 sugar cube
2 - 3 dashes aromatic bitters
lemon twist garnish
Soak a sugar cube with a few dashes of bitters and set in the bottom of a champagne flute. Add the applejack and slowly top with sparkling cider. Garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
Big Apple Team Drinks for Buff & Blue
This is a great themed drink for all things New Jersey which by the way matches one of the official state colors which is buff, a pale yellow-brown. The other is Jersey Blue.
Also, with both NFL teams from the Big Apple playing in MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands sports complex in East Rutherford, NJ, maybe the Jersey Cocktail should be added to the list of football team tipples for both the NY Giants and the NY Jets as well.
Proper Channels
FYI - the 17th century Dutch Republic colony of New Netherland became the Province of New Jersey after coming under English rule on March 12, 1664 and being renamed after the Isle of Jersey in the English Channel. Back and forth control ensued, followed by East and West political divisions, unification as a British royal colony on April 17, 1702 and finally United States statehood on December 18, 1787.

Maintenance Tips - Removing Mulch And Oil Stains
Summer is about more than just having a good time in the sun. It's mulching season, which means it's time to perform some landscaping and gardening.
So, how does this relate to asphalt and paving?
Using cultured mulch on your driveway or parking lot can create stains. You may notice other stains from oil and grease after you detect the stain from the mulch. Here are some techniques for eliminating stains from your driveway to keep it looking clean and fresh.
Mulch Stains and How to Get Rid Of Them?
Cleaning a colored stain is less difficult than cleaning an oil stain. Although the stain may fade with time, you can get immediate effects by following these simple steps:
- Rinse the stain with water but do not power wash it since the high pressure will force the stain deeper into the pavement. - Apply soap or vinegar to the surface and scrub it in circular strokes with a brush. - Using a low-pressure rinse, remove the soap and dye. - Mix 2 capfuls of bleach into 2 gallons of warm water. Scrub the bleach solution into the stain using the small circular motions again. Completely cover the stain with the bleach and allow it to sit for 30 minutes.
- Wash away the bleach solution using a low pressure rinse.
How To Avoid Mulch Stains?
Watch the weather. If there is rain in the forecast, hold off on having the mulch delivered till dry weather comes. Rain makes the dye on the mulch bleed onto the pavement.
How To Remove Oil Stains?
There are a few different options for removing an oil stain from your asphalt paving NJ:
- If dealing with a stain that still has excess oil on the surface, blot up the oil as best as possible. This can be easily done by sprinkling kitty litter over the entire stain and allowing the oil to soak into the kitty litter. When the excess oil is soaked up, the litter can be swept up and thrown away.
- To remove the stain, the most popular method is using Tri-Sodium Phosphate (TSP). Create a paste using TSP and water to desired thickness. Scrub the paste onto the stain using a long brush. Allow the paste to sit for thirty minutes and then rinse it off with water.
- Using commercial degreasers can be effective as well. Avoid using degreaser with solvents, it will only hurt the driveway more. Follow the directions on the bottle and scrub the degreaser into the stain to break down the oil and rinse it off with water.
