Migration Cost to Australia
Tumblr media
Hey there! Exciting that you're considering making the move to Australia! Now, let's talk about the nitty-gritty – migration costs.
Firstly, it's important to note that the expenses can vary based on several factors, including the visa type, your personal circumstances, and whether you're moving alone or with family.
Visa Application Fees:
Each visa has its own application fees. Skilled migration visas like Subclass 189 or Subclass 190 typically have set fees, but it's crucial to check the latest updates on the official Department of Home Affairs website.
Skills Assessment:
If you're going through a skills assessment process, there are associated costs. Different assessing authorities may charge different fees, so it's wise to budget for this step.
English Language Proficiency Test:
Taking an English language proficiency test, such as IELTS or PTE, is a requirement. Plan for the test fees and any preparation materials you might need.
Health Checks and Police Clearances:
As part of the visa process, you'll need health examinations and police clearances. These may come with additional costs.
Migration Agent Fees:
While not mandatory, some people opt to use migration agents for professional advice and assistance. Their fees vary, so shop around and choose one that suits your budget and needs.
Travel and Moving Costs:
Factor in your travel costs to Australia. If you're moving furniture or belongings, consider shipping costs or budget for new items once you arrive.
Initial Living Expenses:
It's smart to have some funds set aside for your initial living expenses in Australia. This includes accommodation, groceries, and transportation until you get settled.
Professional Registration (if applicable):
Depending on your profession, you might need to register with a professional body in Australia. Be aware of any registration fees associated with your occupation.
Remember, buddy, planning is your best friend here. Create a detailed budget, consider potential additional costs, and stay informed about any changes in fees or policies. While it might seem like a lot, it's an investment in an exciting chapter of your life. Wishing you the best on this adventure!✈️

Just under three weeks until we head back to OuRVilla in the UK. We hear its cold back home so we're making the most of the weather here in Australia, now its decided to get hot! We are no closer with how we can emigrate here but we haven't given up! There are still many more memories we would love to make with our family here and the three month trip has gone so very quick. But the time that we have had here has been very special to us all and we're thankful to have had the opportunity to visit for so long. #downunder #westernaustralia #dawesville #mandurah #familyadventure #lifeontheroad #beachlife #family #pyramidsbeach #newlifedownunder (at Pyramids Beach Cafe)
