The good spn prequel that exists in my head aka a show about Mary and her weird cousin Nick and being doomed from the start.
#I mean neither of them know obviously#but we do#and the narrative does#and it’s going to eat them :)#but they can hang out while they’re being digested#pretend that everything is fine. Mary is married! Nick is engaged! they’re not hunters but people who were raised in it and got out#(I feel like retconning Nick into someone aware of monsters is a substantially smaller sin than retconning John)#Nick & Mary: black sheep of the hunting legacy#just want to escape ya know?#as the show goes on the misery comes out as it becomes clearer that Mary is trapped in a loveless marriage that we know will get her killed#while Nick is just! happy! for once!#and we get to watch and go 👀👀👀😬#I think the tension between how different their escape plans are working out#is what ultimately rips them apart#begin with them close. end with them as strangers.#I’m rambling ignore me
