film asks
1. What’s the most depressing movie you’ve ever watched?lilting (2014, dir hong khaou) for SURE i have never been so gutwrenched by a movie in my life and ive seen it twice and both times i just lay in my bed SOBBING as the credits rolled
2. What’s the most disturbing movie you’ve ever watched?funny games (2007, dir. michael haneke).......... like.... holy fuck i just wanted to die dfkjgshdjfhgjksfd
6. A film you wish you hadn’t watched?i was gonna say funny games again for this but i just remembered that i sat thru filth (2013, dir. jon s. baird) which was.... Bad and i hated it
10. Who’s your favourite movie director?jeepers oh JEEPERS I DONT KNOW........... i really do quite like christian petzold but thats 99% because i appreciate his like, Obsession with nina hoss? i also really like sean baker..... hes very good at letting other people tell their stories inside his movies instead of telling their stories for them and i really appreciate that
12. A movie that holds a special place in your heart?starlet (2012, dir. sean baker)!!!! i ADORED this movie it was so sweet and sad and bittersweet
13. Your favourite comedy film?in bruges (2008, dir. martin mcdonagh) in the words of colin farrell In Bruges Was Funny As Fuck
16. A film you love but everyone else hates?i really loved wuthering heights (2011, dir. andrea arnold)!!! i LOVE wuthering heights, it’s one of my favourite books, and this movie was the closest to matching brontë’s evocation of wildness and savagery, it never made cathy and heathcliff out to be anything other than animals and james howson was my favourite heathcliff by a country mile.... he made him awful the way he’s supposed to be hes not a byronic hero hes just a bad nasty person made that way by other bad nasty people in a bad nasty place
idk if this really qualifies for that question but i remember people not really liking that movie a lot? w/e i loved it
