Epic Store
Last week Epic Games hosted their first major sale called the “Epic Mega Sale”, however there were a few bumps along with the way most recently with Borderlands 3.
Borderlands 3 was put on sale during the promotion, meaning those who pre-ordered would gain $10 off the different editions which included standard, deluxe and even the super deluxe edition. Epic has even offered those who had purchased titles recently before the promotion, could gain back the difference for games that had gone on sale.
However, the title was pulled from the store and the game page now states “coming soon”. Borderlands 3 was originally announced as an Epic Games Store exclusive when the title was revealed.
But this isn’t the only title that has been removed from the Epic Game Store due to this sale, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 was also taken down during the sale, but has now returned with a “coming soon” status.
The Mega Sale although has been explained by Epic does not pass on the cost to the developer/publisher, looks like has caused some problems with at least with a couple titles. Lucky for those who caught the deal in time, as both titles have not returned to the store for pre-order as of yet.
The Epic Mega Sale is still on for other titles on Epic which includes 75% off and $10 off titles $14.99 or up. You can grab Ashen for $17.24 as well as catch some pre-releases.
For more of this news find it here in Borderlands 3 Pre-Order Pulled From Epic Game Store During Mega Sale.
Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr

In the latest trailer we get a closer look at the feisty new fire breathing foes that are now terrorising the land of the Khajiit, Elsweyr. This chapter brings a new main storyline, a challenging 12 player Trial called Sunspire and overland Dragon Hunt events. The trailer ends in a blaze after the dragon bellows a “Fus-Ro-Dah”.
If you’re eager to play the latest expansion you can now access Elsweyr on PC with pre-order. Those on Playstation 4 and Xbox One will be able to play on June 4th. For all the major additions coming to ESO with the latest expansion read our Elder Scrolls Online Elsweyr: 6 Biggest Changes.

Rumour: FromSoftware Working With GRRM?
Fan favorites FromSoftware and Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin may be working together, as per an industry rumor.
On George RR Martin’s website he explained a little about what he was up to now that Game of Throne the tv show had concluded. He made an interesting remark saying he had “consulted on a video game out of Japan…“
Further supporting that FromSoftware could be that developer, earlier this year they shared that there were two unannounced titles they are working on.
If you wanted more clues according to Gematsu there’s an uncorroborated rumour, they were told from a source who knows the on-goings at From, that a project was in the works under the acronym “GR” and that it was an “open-world title (with horse riding).
While this might not be a GOT title there could be plenty of games that could fall under this category, which could even mean a souls title. While none of this has been confirmed by either From or Martin, I guess we will have to see if we get more clues.
If you want to read more about this article covering this rumour be sure to check out our FromSoftware Working With GRRM? Game Of Thrones & Dark Souls Rumor Crossover Could Actually Break The Wheel.

Dauntless
The monster hunting free-to-play title by Phoenix Labs Dauntless has launched as a cross-play and cross-progression game on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Dauntless the action behemoth hunting title has launched across console and PC via the Epic Games Store. The title allows you to play for free with cross-play and cross-progression. This means players can level and purchase in-game items on one account and play on either platform.
The launch also comes with the seasonal pass which allows both veteran hunters and beginners to earn cosmetic gear and premium currency.
This is a great step for games and hopefully this will cause other titles to bring in cross-progression and cross-play. The latest trailer features the cross-play message and the idea that players can forge their own adventures.

Team Ninja has confirmed that a closed alpha test is currently taking place.
In a tweet by the official Team Ninja account, Koei Tecmo shared that the closed alpha will be tested for Nioh 2 on PS4, and they have no plans to expand this closed test. This looks like there will be a select amount of participants for this test. Nioh 2 was originally announced at last year’s E3 which shared a short announcement trailer, but not much else had been revealed.
But now there has been alpha footage cropping up online featuring character creation, some fights, exploration and much more. Mutant Year Zero
Funcom had revealed earlier this year during GDC that Mutant Year Zero would be getting its first DLC on June 25th as well as the Nintendo Switch release and physical versions for console. The expansion name Seed of Evil has been revealed along the news that the launch date would be delayed for DLC, deluxe edition and for the Switch.
The title was set to release on the Nintendo Switch but has gotten a slight delay in release, now launching on July 30th. This will also be the same date when their first DLC expansion Seed of Evil will release.
Seed of Evil takes place where the game left off, bringing newsmaps and a new challenge for the group of misfits. The trailer reveals a new playable character to help assist challenges by the name of Big Khan, a moose with two new mutations Ground Pound and Flame Puke. There also seems to be something rather strange going on, what Big Khan calls “Pod Ghouls” who are replacing the original Ghouls with copies. The trailer gives off a Stranger Things kind of vibe and looks to be a fun new expansion.
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden – Seed of Evil will be priced at $14.99 USD/£12.99 when it releases on Steam on July 30th. Those who want to pick up both the game and DLC can purchase the Deluxe Edition of Mutant Year Zero, available digitally and in store.
To read more about this news find it here in Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden – Seed of Evil Expansion, Physical Release and Nintendo Switch Version Delayed.
Cyberpunk 2077
In a recent tweet by Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red’s Global Community Lead Marcin Momot, its been revealed a playable demo seems to be off the cards for the public at E3 2019.
The Global Community Lead from CD Projekt Red Marcin Momot had shared in a Twitter post that Cyberpunk 2077 will not have a playable demo available to the public, but there will be a gameplay presentation given by the CD Projekt Red team.
So if you were hoping to get your hands on the demo you will have to settle for seeing it played by the devs themselves. At least we will get to see more of the gameplay which in the past was shown to the press in a closed door session. Then towards   the end of last year, an over 40 minute video showed a great chunk of gameplay including character customisation, character interactions, first person view, narrative based choices, Night City environments and much more.
This E3 will have two different presentations, one will be available to the public shown at the theatre, and one will be shared behind-closed-doors to invited attendees only.
Momot has not made it clear whether those watching at home will be able to see the public presentation at this point. One thing we do know for sure is that CD Projekt Red has dubbed this their most important E3 yet and they have “prepared a strong show”.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One with no confirmed release date as of yet. Be sure to catch our E3 coverage as will be attending, bringing you all the latest news.
To read more about this news find it here in Cyberpunk 2077 Will Not Have a Playable Demo at E3 2019, Public to Get Gameplay Presentation.

Microsoft E3 2018 Press Conference
Halo Infinite! More Halo is always fun. If only I have ever wanted an xbox.
At this point i’m going to make my time watching this brief and your time reading this brief by skipping past the exclusive games and just giving a name and an adjective or 2 and maybe a short description since I personally do not plan an buying an xbox ever.
Ori: Cute side scroller, reminds me of the latest Rayman games
Ok here we go. Fromsofts new game. hm. Makes me think of that other souls esque game that came out with a strong Japanese theme. That was Nioh wasn’t it. Yeah so this is just Nioh except fromsoft actually made it. Also it’s not Bloodborne 2 (guess i have to eat somebodies ps4) and i no longer trust this developer with anything so as far as i care, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice does not exist.
Skipping the fallout 76 stuff since i just saw the Bethesda conference
Captain Spirit does not interest me in the slightest, skipped
Crackdown 3: Annoying, reminds me of saints row 4.
I don’t have any thoughts on Nier Automota, skipped
Here we go finally something promising. Metro! Metro Exodus look goddamn fantastic and I can’t wait for it. Finally something actually good. It looks like a new metro game and that’s all I need other than the game in my hands.
I have absolutely no interest in Kingdom Hearts, skipped
It’s Sea of Thieves, I don’t own an Xbox, it’s already out, skipped
Battlefield V is a thing. I’m not about that life anymore so I will not be paying much attention to it or it Battle Royal Mode. Skipped
I like racing games so Forza slightly intrigues me, I wonder if it will be available on PC. I do enjoy the fact it appears to have vintage and off road vehicles other than the focus on super cars along with the sheer openness of it. It looks kinda like The Crew. Also I cant believe they have to introduce a mode specifically called “60 fps mode”. God dammit. At the leaves falling on the audience is humorous.
Mr. CEO man is spittin them hot lies. Most powerful console my ass.
I have no idea who any of these little developers are.
I thought we happy few was already out?
Player Unknown already exists and its terrible, skip
Tales of Vesperia: and anime? I think? skip.
Division 2 (Line simulator 2): I didn’t like what the first game was about so I don’t care here, skipped.
I don’t have an xbox, so i don’t have xbox game pass, skipping the whole segment
I really really like the first game of the Tomb Raider reboot, I still need to play Rise of the Tomb Raider, but i will most definitly play Shadow of the Tomb Raider afterwards
Session: Skatebordt. Never liked these games.
Black Desert: Reminds me of Fable
Never Cared for the Devil May Cry series. Skipped.
Fuck Cuphead. Skip
Tunic: Looks super cute, wish it wasn't an exclusive I might have actually wanted this otherwise.
An anime crossover fighting game. Interesting, if only i was more invested into anime. Otherwise Jumpforce does look intriguing
Was never interested in Dying light 1, so ignoring 2.
Battletoads: Its battle toads and that’s all we know.
Just Cause 4? Really? That’s actually very interesting I hope they improved the skill system from 3 and if they have, i always love myself a just cause game.
Fuck Gears of War, skip
Cyberpunk 2077 Look really really really really good.... as an aesthetic and concept, as a game, i have no opinions and as much as I like CD Projekt Red, i’m actually underwhelmed, I was expecting more, but my interest is piqued.
Wow. Just Wow. This was probably the second worst Microsoft E3 conference ever. Not as bad as the xbox one announcement year, but this was really bad. really really bad. That’s 3 games out of their 50 games line up that i’m even remotely interested in. Bethesda might take this E3 if Sony doesn't rock socks off because Microsoft is basically nonexistent this year. What a waste of time.

Top RPG News Of The Week: February 10th (Jade Empire, Sekiro, The Outer Worlds and More!)
The post Top RPG News Of The Week: February 10th (Jade Empire, Sekiro, The Outer Worlds and More!) appeared first on Fextralife.
Happy weekend from Fextralife! If you’ve been too busy to keep up on the latest in the games we cover or are looking for a refresher we’ve got you covered! Here’s a bite-sized version of the Top RPG news of the week. Taste all the latest news across the Fextralife Wiki Network.
Check out the video above and read on for the text!
Jade Empire
After over a decade after the action-RPG Jade Empire was released on Xbox, EA files for a trademark under the same name.
On January 22nd EA have started the process to trademark the name “Jade Empire”, the original title was used back in 2005. The developer Bioware has developed franchises such as Mass Effect, Dragon Age and their most recent IP Anthem.
The title was released on the Xbox and was an action-RPG  which featured martial arts and was recently made backwards compatible last year. It was after when EA bought out Bioware in 2007, that they would go onto then develop the Mass Effect series.
While the reason for claiming this trademark could mean they plan to create a sequel, a remaster or even a remake of the original. Or they could just be acquiring their previous titles which is something large game developers do from time to time, whether that be for plans for now or in future.
To read more about this news find it here in EA Files Trademark For Jade Empire.
Final Fantasy XIV
The MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has seen its share of collaborations and 2019 is no different, as a new event has been announced with a crossover with Final Fantasy XV.
One of the main characters in Final Fantasy XV Noctis will be appearing alongside the heroes in Final Fantasy XIV. The new crossover event was announced at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in Paris held over the weekend.
Along with the news comes a trailer featuring the event, the campaign shares a lot of elements from Final Fantasy XV. The trailer starts with Noctis with the Regalia, a flying car that is used by him and his companions as they venture through Eos. The video shows Noctis battling against enemies alongside a companion, fans of Final Fantasy XV will find some of those foes quite familiar.
We also get to see characters from Final Fantasy XIV using some of Noctis’ Royal Arms weapons which means you should be able to gain them by taking part in the collaboration. As well as weapons comes the first 4 person mount to join the game, players will get a chance to gain a Regalia of their very own.
To read more about this news find it here in Noctis Will Join Final Fantasy XIV In A New Collaboration Event.
Black Desert
Black Desert is getting its launch on a new platform, on March 4th Xbox One players will get to play the MMO. If you want to test out the action packed Black Desert you can check out the demo which will launch on 12:00 AM PST on February 14th until 11:59 PM on Sunday February 17th 2019.
The final version of the beta adds some new features and fixes which includes trading, Photo mode has been enabled, Motion Blur has been turned down, reduced looting time, chat can be turned off and all quest bugs from beta 1 have now been fixed.
The developers Pearl Abyss have also announced via blog post on their website that they are testing their first Node War. This mode allows guilds to build forts in an area and battle in PvP to gain control of regions. Players will need to join a guild in order to take part of the action.
If you want to take part in the demo all you need is an active Xbox Live Gold subscription and download the beta from the Microsoft Store. Players will be able to experience all six classes and a level cap of 40. Those who stream or share video of the beta have a chance to win a copy of the game from Pearl Abyss.
To read more about this news find it here in Black Desert Final Beta For Xbox One Starts February 14th.
The Outer Worlds
The title The Outer Worlds is seen as a spiritual successor of the Fallout series is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment. The publisher Private Division have confirmed that the game will be sold at the retail price of $60. Sharing in a recent article with Game Informer, that a physical copy will also be available upon release.
At this moment, neither Obsidian or Private Division have unveiled when The Outer Worlds will be arriving later this year. However we have learnt of some core details since its reveal a few months ago.
Some key features to focus on include that it won’t be a traditional open-world RPG, instead of gaining a world to openly explore, but instead travelling to different areas located on two planets. While players will have plenty of places to venture through, the universe won’t be as extensive as other open-world games. Fans will also be glad to know that The Outer Worlds will not have microtransactions.
The Outer Worlds will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime later this year.
To read more about this news find it here in The Outer Worlds Will Have A Physical Release, Price Set At $60.
6 Classic RPG Games Come to Consoles
The publisher Skybound games and developer Beamdog have teamed up to bring some classic Bioware and Black Isle Studio’s RPG games to new platforms.
The developer Beamdog has had some previous experience in bringing classic RPGs to modern PCs with Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Planescape: Torment. Now setting their sights for console, bringing some beloved fan games to Playstation 4 and Xbox One. They are planning to release Enhanced Editions which will be the first time they are available not only in retail but digitally as well. Titles Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate ll, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, and Neverwinter Nights come to consoles this year.
All these titles were published under Interplay Entertainment and are well-known classic RPG titles. Skybound have also in the past published physical copies of games such as Hollow Knight which came to all platforms with physical version last year in August.
More details of upcoming release dates and box content is expected in the coming months.
Will you be picking up any these classic RPG titles? Let us know in the comments below.
To read more about this news find it here in Skybound Games And Beamdog To Bring Classic Bioware And Black Isle Studio Games To Consoles.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink
The upcoming JRPG Granblue Fantasy Relink has been in the works for some time with Platinum Games developing the action-RPG.
However their logo has now been removed from the site as Cygames takes a leading role in development.
Both companies have released statements explaining the changes with Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Cygames shared that they would now take “100 percent of development internally”. While Platinum Games released a statement explaining that their “contract on the project has come to an end”.
Cygames also went on to say that they “would like to assure everyone looking forward to the title that we remain committed to delivering a game that meets the expectation of our fan-base and gamers everywhere.”
The news shouldn’t worry fans of the game as this hopefully will not effect the timeline for the release of Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Cygames released some footage of the in-game action in a video back in December of last year.
Granblue Fantasy Relink currently has no announced release date. It will firstly launch on PS4 and hopefully be announced for more platforms later on.
To read more about this news find it here in Cygames Leads Granblue Fantasy: Relink Development as Platinum Games Leaves Project.
Sekiro
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is going to release next month and gearing up to the release, FromSoftware the developer as well as Activision the publisher drop a new story trailer. This short video follows a flash back of Sekiro or “One-armed wolf” as a child. Stranded on a bloody battlefield, a man appears and takes this novice under his wing. The man who becomes his master is known as the Owl. As the memory comes to an end we see Sekiro in the present, now an adult seemingly reflecting on his past as his master now recounts the memory. The Owl says a line that adds gravity to the scene while placing his hand on Sekiro’s shoulder: “That day I pulled you from the battle field, I had no idea what you’d become.”
This leaves us wondering if his master is completely pleased with Sekiro’s transformation as his tone may suggests otherwise, or he could be just astounded at how far he’s come.
Sekiro doesn’t seem to be like most FromSoftware games where players have had to dig deep into the games lore to extract the narrative, or piece together discoveries to build a backstory. The developer has taken a different tact offering more of the narrative upfront which can be seen in this latest trailer. That doesn’t go to say that they won’t have a secret or two hidden within the game.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice releases next month on March 22 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
To read more about this news find it here in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Gets A New Story Trailer.
Nioh
It was two years ago when Team Ninja released Nioh, a brutal action-RPG with challenging combat set in a dark samurai fantasy world. Marking the second anniversary, Koei Tecmo the publisher of the title celebrates announcing with over 2.5 million copies sold worldwide. It was last year in May when the title reached 2 million copies.
Nioh is inspired by the Sengoku period in Japan, set in the start of the 17th century. Taking on the role of an Irishman namedS William, players undertake the challenge to master a number of Japanese type weapons as they fight a range of horrific and deadly enemies.
It’s been a while since last year where Team Ninja revealed at E3 that there would be a sequel, Nioh 2. The teaser trailer didn’t share much but we later learned players will be able to create their own unique characters. Just as the first Nioh had a demo for players to try, Nioh 2 will also have it’s own before it’s release.
Nioh is currently available on PS4 and PC.
