This is a Clowning, Not a Crowning
Tumblr media
Keiana Stewart told this group that there’s a lot of speaking at each other instead of to each other, and she’s right.
There are no real conversations here.
Candiace Dillard Bassett didn’t want to engage in Gizelle Bryant’s silly antics with crowning Nneka Ihim as the new Grande Dame of Potomac.
Karen Huger and Mia Thornton are having a threat off with each other instead of having an open and honest conversation about their issues.
Candiace and Wendy Osefo were making faces when Gizelle was talking about her fears and heartbreak over her daughter getting to college.
Robyn Dixon caught their stares and faces and didn’t like it.
It had more to do with their distain for Gizelle then Gizelle’s daughter.
They probably would’ve made those faces if Gizelle was talking about the weather.
While I can agree that it wasn’t a great look, it was at least honest. They don’t like her, why should they pretend? It’s not like Gizelle and Robyn pretend?
Robyn waited until Candiace and Wendy were away from the group to ask if the other women had seen their looks as well.
Gizelle said that she refused to acknowledge Candiace and Wendy after their eyerolls, but Gizelle has never acknowledged them so far this season.
It’s obvious that they want them out of the cast.
What bothered me the most was how they all pretended to get along and having a good time together while talking about sexual things.
They did the same thing in Austen, and it was so awkward and fake. How can it be fun if it’s all fake?
Speaking of fake, though: Can we believe Mia’s stories? One minute she admits that she used to be a stripper and denies it the next.
One minute Gordon Thornton was spending a lot of money just to have a conversation with her as a stripper, then she claims that she was the one with money when they got together.
Is she trying to prevent herself of being perceived as a gold digger? Is she already planning on filing for a divorce from Gordon?

A Weed Party with No Weed
Tumblr media
A weed party with no weed? How dreadful. Wendy Osefo and Eddie Osefo’s weed party was a complete waste of time.
And the weed was the only reason why Chris Bassett stayed at the event alone, because as he said, have you’ve ever seen an angry stoner?
Candiace Dillard Bassett is busy touring with her music album and starring in a series while doing Real Housewives this season.
To say that she’s a busy bee is an understatement. And it was brave of Chris to be in the shark tank by himself.
It got really heated during the reunion, and it would have been nice if he tried to apologize for losing his temper on Gizelle Bryant. But all the women seemed to avoid him.
Ashley Darby claimed that he doesn’t exist in her world, but in my opinion, she was the mean one last season.
She’s of course self-righteous as always, so why am I surprised?
As the women showed up to the Happy Eddie with no weed party, Karen Huger had a bone to pick with Mia Thornton after her rude decline of the invitation.
Mia thought it was rude to be invited as a second thought, so she had no intentions of trying to make it to Surry County.
During their exchange of words, Mia suddenly called Karen an old dog and told her to learn some new tricks. And Karen retaliated by called Mia the “trick”.
It later escalated when Karen said that there were rumours that Mia was dating a rapper and sleeping with a married man.
I guess it was a retaliation from the rumours Charrisse Jackson-Jordan shared about Karen last season. Rumours Mia retold as facts.
Wendy had surprisingly enough invited Nneka Ihim to the weed party as well, and Nneka interpreted as an olive branch. But that was a mistake.
So Nneka invited her to her unboxing party at her house, but Wendy was a no show. But why was Keiana Stewart there without Wendy?!
Did Wendy send her little spy? To check if perhaps Lebe was there too? Just a thought.

A Friend Group on Shaky Foundation
Tumblr media
This is a problem for RHOP. Just see how difficult it was to get these women to be together on a four-hour trip to Surry County.
Nneka Ihim was the only one who showed up outside of Karen Huger’s original plan, unafraid of the hostility she undoubtedly would receive from Wendy Osefo.
It’s understandable that Gizelle Bryant didn’t want to go with Wendy and Candiace Dillard Bassett, and she had expected more from Karen.
But they’re on a show together, and they’ve to film together.
Karen genuinely wants them all to get along, and this could’ve been a bonding experience.
I don’t think Karen would ever use a trip to her beloved Surry County to cause harm. I genuinely think she wants to get the girls back on the right track again.
At one point Candiace and Gizelle must have a conversation.
I also understand why Robyn Dixon didn’t go, because she 100% don’t care, but what’s Mia Thornton’s issue? She doesn’t do last minute invitations?!
I think she just secretly didn’t want to go back to Surry County, honestly.
Again, the only one who showed up except for the originally invited, was Nneka. And Wendy didn’t even try to be friendly with her.
Wendy is holding a grudge against Nneka because she had called her a bitch and mother a witch. But Wendy had also called Nneka a crackhead from LA.
It’s not like Wendy is innocent and a victim in all of this. So why is she acting like Nneka has made this huge injustice against her?
I think that the one who has been most mean is Wendy. She dismissed Nneka and acted like she didn’t know her.
She’s deflecting, crying, blaming, and cursing.
She even forbad Candiace of talking to Nneka about her! Wendy appears to be desperately trying to hold onto control of the narrative.
But this group is a mess. Unless they’re able to overcome their differences, there will be changes with the cast.
If someone is refusing to film with someone, they’ll give precious screen time away to others who might outshine them.

Crossing the Always Moving Line
Tumblr media
Way to go of Ashley Darby to ruin what could’ve been one single day where they all got along – if not for each other, then at least for a good cause.
Ashley was the one who invited the women to the drag show, so the women could show their support to the queer community that was under attack.
But she immediately picked a fight with Candiace Dillard Bassett at the dinner before the show.
Why would she sabotage her own event like that?
They were fighting over Candiace’s cruel tweets about Robyn Dixon, and they didn’t want the women to use social media as a weapon against each other.
Candiace was furious that the line was always moving – and it gets moved by the Ashley and the Green-Eyed Bandits.
But their perceptions aren’t always correct.
Like Gizelle Bryant who felt like Chris Bassett overstepped a line because he went into a room with her.
Is that the kind of rules the women needs to follow?
However, Candiace could at least try to apologize to Robyn so they can try to move on. She was instrumental in the backlash at Robyn.
But Candiace wasn’t the only one in the group who took to social media. She was just the loudest.
While we’re on the topic of haters, the toxic feud between Wendy Osefo and Nneka Ihim is at the stage like the Cold War.
And I don’t know if I buy Wendy’s hospital story about her mother though… It just seems like it’s a pattern with her and her tears.
When Ashley, Gizelle, and Robyn were asking about the cheating rumours about Eddie Osefo, she cried and said he was a good father who didn’t deserve this.
Now that Nneka is talking about her mother having a shrine, she cries and say that her mother is a good person who sacrificed everything for her children.
All of a sudden, Wendy’s mother has been in the hospital the entire time they’ve been in Austin?!
Why didn’t she say anything until now? And why hasn’t she left to be with her mother then?!

Can There Only Be One Nigerian Queen?
Tumblr media
One of the biggest mysteries this season is the family feud between Wendy Osefo and Nneka Ihim.
What is the cause of this animosity?
The feud had allegedly started when Nneka was signed as a housewife on RHOP.
After she was connected to the show, her cousin-in-law Lebe had been contacted by her friend of 13 years, Wendy’s eldest sister, Ivy.
Nneka was told that Wendy was upset with her for using her name to come on the show, while Nneka swore that she had never claimed to be her friend.
Wendy’s mother had also contacted Nneka’s cousin-in-law to ask all sorts of questions.
She had allegedly implied that she would pray against Nneka.
Why else would she mention her shrine where she prays against people?
A part of me thought that Wendy knew that her mother had made that phone call to Nneka’s family, and therefore decided to show more of her religious side this season.
It was literally the first thing she said this season: “You know I’m a Catholic, right?”
I don’t think they’re faking being Catholics, but I believe they’re using their religion as a deflection of the allegations they know are coming their way.
And did Wendy bring her own friend, Keiana Stewart, on the show in hopes of forcing Nneka out?
But why would Wendy and her family have such a strong reaction to Nneka joining the show.
Even Eddie Osefo denied knowing Nneka’s husband Ikenna Ihim, which made it weirder.
I understand that being friends on Facebook doesn’t automatically mean that you are friends, but why did Eddie unfollow him in the first place?
Wendy and her family don’t want Nneka to be on the show, and I must ask myself why.
Can there only be one Nigerian Queen on the show?
Ashley Darby even said in her confessional that it would be easier for Wendy to just admit that she wanted to the only Nigerian on the show.
Because that is what it seems like anyway.
There can only be one Nigerian Princess on RHOP and that would be Dr. Wendy Osefo.

Season 8 Midseason Trailer Reaction!
Tumblr media
“If you want to go low, let’s go to hell!” said Wendy Osefo in the midseason trailer.
But didn’t she already do that? Where’s the bottom?
Her feud with Nneka Ihim will continue throughout the entire season, and her mother even said that it’s hard to find a friend, but easy to find an enemy.
At a lunch Wendy concluded that Nneka didn’t want peace, and Nneka answered: “No, you don’t want peace.”
Well, I don’t know if I trust the narrative of the Osefo’s after the episodes we’ve seen so far.
It’s more likely that I’ll believe Nneka and her husband.
Wendy was also seen accusing Mia Thornton of not sleeping with her husband anymore, and we get to see the end of Mia’s marriage this season.
Gordon Thornton accused Mia of cheating on him for several years and called it a carnival!
Mia tried to say that what he said wasn’t fair.
In interviews he has done before season 8 aired, he mentioned that he had allowed Mia to sleep with other men since he couldn’t satisfy her anymore…
When people sleep around, it’s easy to develop feelings though.
Can it really be cheating if this was an arrangement? An open relationship?
I don’t know. People has been quick to judge Mia and call her a gold digger, as Gordon orchestrated.
But I’ll try to keep an open mind until seeing it all unfold.
It seems like it’s all about Mia, Nneka and Wendy this season. They’re the ones who’s bringing the drama and the excitement.
Ashley Darby said something about moving forward with the divorce from Michael Darby, but I’ve yet to see it to believe it.
Gizelle Bryant struggles with the fact that her oldest daughter is about to leave for college, and I like to see this side of her, but has she been too muted this season?
Is she scared of the shrine or the death threats?
Mia wanted to do something with this group in honour of empowering women, but I don’t know if it’s possible with this group.
They are too divided.

A Chicken Shit Show in Austin
Tumblr media
Karen Huger jokingly told Ashley Darby that she was not allowed to plan another girls trip for several years after their little trip to Austin.
And I agree with Karen.
While I can appreciate that Ashley is bringing the women outside of the Housewives box, I didn’t like everything on this trip.
For instance the Chicken Shit Bingo game. I do not like it. It looks like animal cruelty to me, and I didn’t appreciate one minute of their time there.
I just wanted them to leave.
After all, Robyn Dixon was crying, Candiace Dillard Bassett was crying. It wasn’t a good time, so why stay?!
The loud music, the rowdy people, being forced to poop in a cage, for people’s greedy pleasures.
I didn’t like it. I would much rather be on the sidewalk, crying with Robyn.
After their car ride to the Chicken Shit Bingo, the women had made Robyn extremely vulnerable for insinuating that she’s to blame for Juan Dixon getting fired.
And as Robyn was crying, Candiace started crying.
She didn’t like seeing Robyn upset, and she didn’t know what to do about her emotions.
Wendy Osefo told Candiace to stop crying, it wouldn’t change the situation anyway.
And Nneka Ihim perceived that as Wendy manipulating Candiace.
Earlier she had forbidden Candiace of talking to Nneka about their feud, and now she sees her trying to control how Candiace was reacting.
Candiace is a crier though, so it might be good advice to try keeping your emotions in check. To remain in control of the situation.
But judging from Nneka’s experience with Wendy’s family, it would be understandable that she views it as manipulation.
As it was Karen’s birthday, she wished that Candiace and Gizelle Bryant could try to mend their friendship and move on from the ugliness in season 7.
Gizelle told Karen to stop meddling, though.
She and her family received a lot of death threats after the reunion, and she blames Candiace.
Nothing will get resolved unless they talk to each other, but I can already see that that’s not going to happen.

They Were Supposed to Paint Vaginas
Tumblr media
The atmosphere was so bad down at the pool that the women are working overtime at dinner by pretending to have a good time over sexual conversation.
It felt forced as hell. And faking it until you make it won’t be possible with this group.
Karen Huger tried to confront Robyn Dixon about hiding the situation with Juan Dixon from the show, and it turned into a heated intervention.
Ashley Darby was mostly upset that their argument took up precious time they could’ve spent painting their vaginas.
When Robyn said that Juan deletes all his messages, it sounded really bad. It looks like a red flag, but I’ll admit that not all men are up to no good.
And as Gizelle Bryant said, Robyn trust Juan – and that’s it.
As long as they’re addressing the cheating rumours, Robyn is ready to answer any question.
But when they started to criticize the lawsuit against him, so broke down.
Candiace Dillard Bassett expressed that she didn’t think it was wise for Robyn to talk about the lawsuit as she did at the reunion.
They basically told Robyn that it was her fault that he had gotten fired.
Candiace brought this up as the women are asking and poking into the lawsuit Michael Darby has filed against Candiace.
She doesn’t want to talk about it because it’s an ongoing lawsuit.
Some of the women tried to ridicule Candiace for not talking about it, but it’s the right thing to do.
But earlier while Nneka Ihim and Wendy Osefo were going at it, Wendy accused Nneka of smoking crack in the past.
And she just laughed about it! She just went down in the gutter.
She didn’t like it when Ashley, Gizelle and Robyn were talking about her marriage, did she?
As the group tried to shake off the tension by dancing, which looked like the most unauthentic, strangest things ever, things got weird.
Candiace tried to check in on Nneke to see if she was okay, and Wendy intervened immediately and basically forbad her of talking about their situation.
That was so strange.

A Desperate Attempt at Deflection
Tumblr media
This group need to work out their issues and actually talk together. If this keeps on the entire season, there will be changes with the cast.
I’ve noticed that Gizelle Bryant is more muted this season. I’ve noticed that most of the women don’t interact with each other.
Gizelle needs to drop the “Chris Bassett made me uncomfortable” thing already!
Andy Cohen even asked if they were living in the Victorian era!
I don’t even know what she wants from Candiace Dillard Bassett, but what Candiace deserves from Gizelle is an apology.
Be done with it!
The only ones who are sharing the true life right now is Nneka Ihim and Mia Thornton.
Mia is going through some serious shit.
She went to couple therapy with Gordon Thornton, and they’re of different opinions when it comes to their situation.
The attorney who had handled their property sale, stole their money, and when they had reported it, he committed suicide!
Mia blames herself and she’s tortured by the thought if they ruined his life over money.
She also admitted that she had attained divorce papers, but it didn’t seem like she had signed them or filed them, and Gordon didn’t appear shocked by the news.
After Mia had had an emotional conversation with Robyn Dixon about this, she’s immediately met with the mean tweets Wendy Osefo’s mom posted about her.
Like, give the girl a break!
But when Nneka had told Robyn about the shrine and that Wendy’s mom was praying against people, Robyn started to think if her name was on the shrine as well.
Because of everything that has gotten wrong the last couple of years.
This curse thing is going to gain a life of its own it’s not resolved soon.
It seemed like Wendy tried to confuse the women with all the information Nneka had.
But Nneka did catch her in a lie.
There’s footage of her praising Lebe, Nneka’s cousin-in-law, yet she tried to claim that she’s not her friend.
I do think Wendy and Eddie Osefo are lying about not knowing Nneka and Ikenna Ihim.

Fire at the Pickleball Court
Tumblr media
It seems like Karen Huger arranged that pickleball event to help this group getting back together again.
She didn’t know about the shrine of it all though.
You could touch the tension on that pickleball court with a knife. From the start.
There are so many people in this group that doesn’t get along. It seems like they hate their guts.
Candiace Dillard Bassett, Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon still hasn’t spoken this season.
Last season ended ugly, but at some point, they need to move on.
And when Robyn entered with Juan Dixon, it kind of was a moment. A Juan Moment.
But it’s painfully obvious that he can’t stand drama. Well, at least there were no drama about him this time though.
Even if he kind of started a fire with the food, but why would someone place a buffet right next to the court?
I blame the hosts for that little mishap.
However, as soon as the women started to argue he went back to the pickleball.
He looked over to Nneka Ihim’s husband and said: “Welcome to the circus!” Yeah, Juan doesn’t like drama.
When Nneka was assigned to Wendy Osefo’s team, you could already tell that Wendy was acting like she didn’t avoid her, but she did.
There was no eye contact, no greeting.
Nneka compared Eddie Osefo to the film “Get Out”, but the same could be said about Wendy.
She was acting like someone else that day.
The way Wendy and Eddie was handling the situation with Nneka and Ikenna Ihim made me exhausted.
They appeared like two desperate people working overtime to get control of the narrative.
But while Nneka and Wendy were arguing, Karen cracked me up.
The nervous munching on pickles and blaming Gizelle for this fiasco – and for once, Gizelle has done nothing to fire up this scene – made me laugh.
On the sideline, Robyn and Ashley Darby had already made up their minds.
They could see that Wendy was shutting Nneka down so she can’t finish her sentences, so they suspect that Wendy knows about this family feud.

Do They Know How to Hex You?
Tumblr media
It probably isn’t that strange that Wendy Osefo is holding such a grudge against Mia Thornton and Gizelle Bryant.
She is her mother’s daughter.
I completely missed her mother’s rant on social media after the assault in Miami.
I originally thought it must had been so awkward for Nneka Ihim to be introduced to this group and see how Wendy was treating the other women.
It would be normal to think: “Who is this person?”
When Wendy was talking about her new talk show she belittled the other women’s intelligence at the table.
That’s incredibly rude.
For Mia to later compare Wendy’s comment about her being slow to her son’s learning disabilities, appears to be an attempt to make Wendy look like a bully.
I don’t understand why Wendy is being so cold with her though.
Mia did an apology tour on social media after the reunion, but I guess they need to have a conversation face to face.
However, Wendy won’t leave the door open enough for Mia to even get her foot inside.
As Nneka had hit it off with Robyn Dixon at the housewarming party, the uninvited to the first communion for Wendy’s sons meets for lunch.
There, Nneka revealed that she and Wendy are in the middle of a family feud, and things has become undoubtedly bizarre.
According to Nneka, this feud has been going on for three weeks!
And it appears that Wendy is upset that Nneka used her to get on the show.
Wendy acts like she doesn’t know her, but it turns out that Wendy’s sister Ivy has been friends with Nneka’s cousin-in-law, Lebe for 13 years.
One day Ivy told Lebe that Wendy was mad at Nneka for using her name to get on the show, and that she should’ve gotten a restraining order against her.
And then Wendy’s mother had contacted Lebe and asked if Nneka was praying against them.
That she had a shrine for people who cross them.
Does that mean that Mia’s name is on that shrine too? Is this going to be Potomac’s Giudices vs. the Gorgas?

Warming Up the Pot Stirring
Tumblr media
The reunion didn’t help this group to reach a reconciliation, and there’s either a cold war going on or friendships in need of mending and rebuilding.
Ashley Darby and Candiace Dillard Bassett aren't talking.
Karen Huger is holding a grudge against Mia Thornton.
While Wendy Osefo won't acknowledge Mia and Gizelle Bryant.
And while Ashley had invited the women (except from Candiace) to her housewarming party, the only thing she was warming up, was her pot stirring.
She proclaims she likes to surround herself with beautiful and intelligent women, but after seeing the types of friends she has introduced on the show, I’m not impressed.
And the fact that the new housewife is getting introduced as Ashley’s friend, doesn’t give me much hope for Nneka Ihim.
At her housewarming party she invited Nneka, Wendy and Deborah Williams, aka Sesame Street who accused Chris Bassett and Wendy’s husband of flirting with her.
It says a lot about Ashley for inviting Deborah.
When Andy Cohen confronted her at the reunion that the footage and audio couldn’t validate her story, Ashley still believed Deborah.
And that’s why it’s impossible to like Ashley. I’m sure it’s all fake news or alternative facts to her.
Ashley had just introduced Nneka to the group and immediately stirred the pot by telling Wendy stuff that made it seem like Nneka was talking shit about her.
Instead of giving Nneka and Wendy an opportunity to get to know each other, she immediately put them up against each other.
Sure, Nneka was a little shady about her comment about Wendy PhD, but so did Karen when Wendy first joined this group.
Nneka wasn’t the one bringing up the rumours from social media about Wendy’s family being cursed. It was all Ashley.
But while I’m speaking of the hostess of the housewarming party, it still bothers me that Ashley accused Candiace of being “the least accomplished person” on the cast.
Especially since Michael Darby paid for her house.
I still remember how she called Candiace’s home “your mother’s house”.
So, is this a housewarming party to Michael’s new house?

RHOP Season 8 Trailer Reaction!
Tumblr media
RHOP is finally coming back.
It’s one of my absolute favourite shows in the franchise, and even if their drama seems manipulated by the OGs, they’re still fun.
The theme, filter and effects on this trailer might be working against them though.
It might be a sign that there is no big storyline that continues throughout the season.
Ashley Darby said: “Let’s keep it Potomac weird” and the so-called comedy show from the 70s they were supposed to be, was “Potomac Proper”.
Is it a little throwback to their hyper focus on proper etiquette back in the day?
After the scandal with Robyn Dixon exploded after season 7, many wanted Bravo to fire her.
But she’s back and it seems like she’s having a hard time.
She was crying in the car, asking why they were making her out to be the villain, and she was crying by the side of the road.
I just think that it’s only right that the women should hold her accountable and give her relationship as much scrutiny as Gizelle Bryant has been given everybody else.
Ashley and Candiace Dillard Bassett are still feuding as Ashley’s nowhere near ex-husband (are they even getting divorced?!) has sued Candiace.
The new housewife this season is Nneka Ihim, and she’s introduced as Ashley’s friend. That doesn’t bode well for Nneka, as I can’t stand Ashley or her friends.
Ashley’s friend from Sesame Street was in a fight with Wendy Osefo’s friend at the party that’s going to be the season finale.
Thankfully Sesame Street not featured in the trailer. So, yeah. I don’t like Ashley or her so-called friends.
And what a coincidence that Nneka will take a shot at Wendy too. She accused her mother of doing Voodoo!
“I’ve got the motherfucking bazooka. Come at me the fuck again!”
It seems like they’re always coming for Candace or Wendy, and it’s strange since someone appears to be faking divorce and relationships. I’m just saying.
Season 8 of RHOP will premiere on November the 5th, and I will be counting the days! I’m ready for Potomac Weird!
