//Because I'm me and some of my tags are based on lyrics and I'm totally not justifying a tag drop with music and slightly wanting to over explain my choices - also did some reshuffling and rewriting of the relationships section of her doc while I was at it. This batch is all stuff for my ST verse - either giving tags to dynamics that didn't have one, or updating/fixing ones because the nature of the relationship has changed or just because I came up with a better one. I'll worry about swan princess stuff after a nap.

Firstly my ST group verse tag I had grown used to that loneliness The song is Watashitachi no Iru Riyuu (Rough translation: The reason why we're here) - it's from the first revue starlight stage play. I picked Nana's Lyric - given they both are not really having friends before this.

The new tag for the Jewel Steve soulmate au verse thing I still remember that one summer that we spent together Given they first met while Jewel was visiting over the summer when they were kids, this felt very fitting

as well as the friendship tag for Jewel and Chrissy (havvkinsqueen) We can still be friends 🌣 we’ll be the sun and the moon I like this one for them because they are similar but opposites too. Distant in their own ways, but having their own shine to them. Friendship tag for Devildungeondm's Eddie with Jewel Your head’s up in the clouds ★ you’re like a shining star! I think this is how she sees him more than anything else. it was almost Who knew it could play this kind of song. but I couldn't quite justify it like what I ended up going with My new tag for edhellfire's eddie also almost came from this translation of the song too. It was almost I know I can't make you stay Though I settled on the non lyric based No longer my fantasy. Just my friend for them instead. Sad to see the slightly snarky guitar playing wizard tag that was a nod to howl's moving castle go, but this is more fitting for their dynamic.

Elie and Jewel's tag changing from favourite secret recipe to Spiced Apple?  You’re more of a Peach Pie given her new nickname for her girlfriend and how they started getting close.

Jewel shook her head, pulling down the red hood of her winter coat, “Seems I’m red riding hood delivery today.. I suppose that makes you the wolf?” She teased as she brought over the box to blanket burrito Eddie, chuckling that he was behaving like a big kid at the sight of her with treats.

“Chrissy told me you were sick so I moved up snack delivery... there is also a thermos of soup in there too. I was hoping to watch you play this week but can’t do that if you’re sick.” she added with a chuckle as she set down the box for him to pick through

While the Hideout was not the place the redhead felt most comfortable, she really did want to go and support her friends even if she didn’t end up staying too long - not wanting to risk panic attacks.

“Anything else I can do to help while I’m here?”

On hearing this, Jewel got up from where she was quietly reading to get him a glass of water, if it was a fever or something else that seemed like a good place to start. Touching her hand to his forehead.

"You've got a fever, so you are staying put - no way I'm letting you go out in this weather when you're not well." She spoke gently, before ducking off to get some extra blankets "Looks like you're in my hair for a little longer" she joked when she came back with the blankets.

"Wake me up in an hour and I'll get out of your hair."

Her mind took a weird turn as it decided to picture how might her friend get into her hair in the first place. Maybe her crush wasn't as gone as she'd thought

"Rest as long as you need, if you want anything, let me know. Okay? And if you really want to be woken up in an hour, I can set a kitchen timer."

"Just for a little while. It's too quiet at home."

"I get that, it'd be nice to have the company" Jewel said with a small nod, she knew that feeling, as her own home had been too quiet of late especially with her dad working the late shift more and more.

"Can I take a nap on your couch?"

"Yeah, of course"

"Is your dad home?"

"No. He's at work - double shift so won't be back until morning"

"Seems we're trading bats" Jewel comments with a small chuckle as she'd recently gifted him Tab. She runs her fingers along the soft, dark purple fabric, trying to come up with a name for this gift.

"Thank you for Lantern though"

It had been a long time where someone had said that and she'd actually believed it, nodding as she felt his hand against her back, a comforting force as she tried to get her breathing back under control after a particularly nasty panic attack

The fact that she'd allowed the touch at all probably spoke volumes to exactly how drained she was, had she had the energy she would have pulled away.

"Sorry" She started, when she finally had the strength to speak again, feeling guilty for pulling him away from everyone to help her out, guilt mixing with the sheer exhaustion that was rapidly setting in. "I'm... I'm gonna go home.. You can go back to everyone if you want."

"I'd probably still be late."

"Just that you want to be there, be someone I can count on, late or not is enough" Though she was very tempted to ask what it would take to make him not be late, she wasn't quite that bold.

"Just wanted to say you can always count on me. I'll probably be late and we probably won't get shit done but I'll be there."

"I need someone to stop me from getting shit done sometimes, so it's alright" Jewel said with a smile and a shake of her head. "I think the only time you won't be late is if there are cookies that need taste testing"

"Good to know. I've got enough people wanting to kill me."

"Even one person wanting to kill you is more than enough" She answered scratching absentmindedly at a spot on her right arm even though it was covered by her sleeves. "And at this stage.. much rather kiss you than fuck you... but that's more because I'm not ready than anything to do with you"

"Just wanted to say thanks for not wanting to murder me or just fuck me."

"You're at the top of my do not kill list if that helps at all." She joked, figuring that was easiest to talk about than what she was feeling

 “Please go and sit down at least. I got this” Jewel said, gently, taking the spoon from his hand. It seemed the part of her that was just a grandma that wanted to take care of everyone was out in full force, and wasn’t about to take no for an answer.

 She knew that feeling of having no-one else around to look after you or more the people who should be aren’t, that was part of the reason why she was so determined to try and look after her friends in what little way she could.

With winter truly here, and Jewel running herself ragged, between school and work and just trying to distract herself from everything that had happened at home. She was burned out, and when a cold that was doing the rounds finally hit the redhead, she was hit hard.

"Mom left... have to take care of everyone" She said quietly, as if that explained everything as she pulled on her boots, still shivering with a high fever, it was still delivery day in her mind and she didn't feel like she could rest until her never ending list of tasks were done, fighting a dizzy spell as she tried to stand.

Jewel had been on the fence about going to this party at all, she wasn’t really a party person to begin with and with a chance of Eddie being there while she was still trying to sort through her feelings, she really didn’t want to risk it. But if her dad had pushed her to go, so here she was. Back to being an awkward wallflower.

It was on her way out to get some air, not super paying attention to who was passing by that she’d found herself caught under the mistletoe with the one person she simultaneously wanted to be caught with and didn’t want to be caught with at once. Eddie Munson

“You don’t have to kiss me... I’m not Baldr, a kiss isn’t gonna bring me back to life” She said with a small shake of her head, though she couldn’t help how her heart was pounding right now.
