Project - Art Found in Nature- Art Blog Post #2

Often, we get overwhelmed with school that we begin to slack. We start to do the bare minimum and hope it will suffice. We stress, lose sleep and are diets begin to turn to crap because we have no time to cook. This was me for about a month during block 3. I hit a low point, I was depressed and wasn't sure if teaching was for me. I had HIGH anxiety each time I entered my classes and wanted to escape each time we were put into groups. I wasn't sure I would get out of this funk, until we began our art projects in art! My first assignment was Art Found in Nature. I had the intent on taking pictures of the snow storm from February 9th, but I came down with the flu and wasn't able to create my vision. Thus, I had to quickly throw together something simple, which I was not happy with, but I knew the next art pieces to come would be better. However, my art piece still had meaning to it. I had an anchor, and I found rock and glued them on the anchor. It symbolized how weighed down I felt, how I was sinking and did not know how to escape. Depression can hit heavy on someone and often we do not know where it comes from. Even the people who seem happy, can be crying on the inside. Thus, please speak to your students and be aware of whats going on in their lives. Also, take care of yourself! I am doing better! I have found people to surround myself with that have been lifting me up. My students and my mentor teacher have been my safe haven, and I have also learned I  can express myself through art and it has been therapeutic.

I have this idea i wanna make that’s like a series of 5 animatics/stories ab the individual DCFDTL/Sector Z to music but each animatic/pmv is in different art style to represent the different perspectives of each member Despite being them being hiveminded *Places this poorly made drawing of this concept here*
