A Million Little Thoughts
#2
I'm going to start with Invisible Strings.  The beginning of the invisible string starts at her first album, Taylor Swift, and weaves a web through all of her stories that have been told throughout all of her albums. Without these past stories (or experiences) she could never have made it to the end of the string, or to where she is today. The lyrics of the song take us on a journey through her albums, just like she took a journey to get to the end of the string.
Album 1 - Taylor Swift
Invisible Strings lyric -”One single thread of gold tied me to you / All along there was some invisible string tying me to you”  Tied Together with a Smile - “...the golden one and you’re tied together with a smile” and the song title Invisible directly ties to Invisible Strings.
Album 2 - Fearless
Invisible Strings lyrics - “ Time, mystical time, cutting me open , then healing me fine”  Fifteen lyrics “ I found time can heal most anything”
Album 3 - Speak Now
Invisible Strings lyrics - “Yogurt shop you used to work at”   Mine lyrics “ college working part time waiting tables” Invisible Strings lyrics - “I used to read at Centennial Park”   Mine lyrics “ Do you remember we were sitting there by the lake ” (Centennial Park has a lake)
Album 4 - Red
Invisible Strings lyrics - “ Green was the color... / Teal was the color...”  Red lyrics “Loving him was red... ” Invisible Strings lyrics - “ Gold was the color of the leaves...”  Red lyrics “like the colors of autumn ”  All Too Well lyrics “Autumn leaves falling down into place”  ” Invisible Strings lyrics - “ wool to brave the seasons...”   All Too Well lyrics “I left my scarf there at your sisters house / but you keep my old scarf”
Album 5 - 1989
Invisible Strings lyrics - “Bad was the blood of the song in the cab”   Bad Blood  lyrics “ cause now we got Bad Blood”
Album 6 Reputation
Invisible Strings lyrics - “right into a dive bar”   Delicate lyrics “ Dive bar on the eastside ”
Album 7 Lover
Invisible Strings lyrics - “purple pink skies”   It’s Nice to Have a Friend lyrics “ Light pink sky up on the roof ”  and the cover of Lover has pink and purple clouds
I’m sure there are a lot more, and I think that this travel through time is apparent in other Folklore songs. More following that invisible string in upcoming comments.
