(1) The radial runout tolerance of the shaft (or shaft sleeve) where the mechanical seal is installed shall not exceed 0.04-0.06mm at most.
(2) The axial movement of the rotor does not exceed 0.3mm.
(3) The runout tolerance of the joint position of the sealing cavity and the sealing end cover facing the surface of the shaft (or shaft sleeve) shall not exceed 0.04-0.06mm.
2. Check and confirmation of the mechanical seals:
(1) Check whether the installed mechanical seals are the same as the required models.
(2) Before installation, carefully check with the general assembly drawings to see if the parts are complete.
(3) For mechanical seals driven by parallel springs, they can be divided into left or right handed ones, and must be selected according to rotation directions of the rotating shafts. 3. Installation method of such mechanical seals:
Installation methods vary with types of mechanical seals and types of machines, but installation essentials are almost the same. The installation steps and precautions are as follows:
(1)Determination of installation size: During installation, installation size of the mechanical seal should be guaranteed right according to the product instruction manual or sample book.
(2) Before loading, the shaft (sleeve) and gland should be free of burrs, and the bearing should be in good condition; the seals, shaft, sealing cavity and gland should all be cleaned. In order to reduce frictional resistance, the place where the mechanical seal will be installed on the shaft should be coated with a thin layer of oil for lubrication. If oil is not suitable because of the compatibility of rubber O-rings, soapy water can be applied. The structure of floating stationary seat without anti-rotation pin should not be oiled, and should be installed in the gland dry.
(3) Install the stationary seat of the mechanical seal together with the gland on the shaft first(being careful not to collide them with the shaft), and then install the rotary face assembly. The set screw of the spring seat or transmission seat should be evenly tightened several times.

 Understanding How Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps Work
The liquid ring pump features an impeller, which is positioned eccentrically to the cylindrical housing of the pump, and in between two port plates. In this pump, the vacuum is created using a liquid such as water, water-methanol mixture, and oil. The pump is filled with liquid up to a quarter of its volume. The port plates feature shaped holes, which enable easy discharge and suction of the vacuum pump when it is in action.
When the impeller is in the rotation, the liquid starts moving outwards, and creates a void space. The liquid is turned into motion, and it forms a ring outside, thus, the pump gets its name. The motion of the liquid is initiated by a centrifugal force. The liquid ring is eccentric to the impeller, and concentric to the housing of the pump.
During the rotation of the pump, gases are sucked from the suction or inlet port, then compressed, and discharged through the discharge port. Owing to its large number of blades, the operation of the pump is continuous.

 Benefits of Liquid Ring Pumps – On the Basis of Design
As with any other industrial pumps, liquid ring vacuum pumps also have typical advantages owing to their designs. The pumps are classified into three types – Once through System, Partial Recirculation System, and Total Recirculation System.
 1. Once through System: In this system, the sealing liquid enters into the system once. The liquid that is discharged from the pump is directed to a separator vessel. In the separator vessel, the gas is separated from the liquid, and finally, the liquid is drained. This is a simple system, where no recovery or recirculation of the liquid takes place.
Advantages: The liquid ring system

·         Is suited for less critical service projects
 2. Partial Recirculation System: This system is similar to once-through system. However, the only difference is the separator is used for recirculating the liquid discharged from the pump. Makeup water is introduced in the separator tank to perform recirculation. The liquid discharged from the separator becomes equal to the quantity of the makeup water added. This discharge is conducted through an overflow connection, which is placed in the horizontal plane, in the shaft centerline of the pump. The fresh sealing liquid introduced to the pump helps maintain its proper temperature. This temperature maintenance contributes to pump maintenance, as well as minimizes the chances of cavitation.

 3. Total Recirculation System: In this liquid ring pumping system, the sealing system is completely recirculated in the system. A heat exchanger is used to remove the heat produced in the system. Next, the sealing liquid is re-introduced into the vacuum pump. In this system, the level of the sealing liquid is maintained slightly below the centerline of the pump shaft. This is done to prevent the pump motor from overloading during the start. This may damage the pump in the long run. However, if the pressure drop in the system is high, then it is compensated using a circulation system.

These substances are employed in countless finished products that we use on a daily basis. Vacuum technology is indispensable for a large part of these applications. For the production of high-quality foams, it requires medium vacuum conditions up to 0.05 hPa Polyurethanes are compounds which are formed in a polyaddition reaction from multiple alcohols (di-, tri- or polyols) and polyisocyanates. Depending on the basic components used, thermosetting plastics, thermoplastics or elastomers are obtained which differ greatly in their properties and can accordingly be used in a large number of different end products. In the EU alone, more than 2 million tons of polyurethanes are produced annually; global demand rises on average by 5 % per year. Polyisocyanates are highly reactive organic compounds and act as crosslinkers for two-component polyurethane, from which coatings and foams are formed. The targeted curing of the substance at room temperature and the use of a special coating device, allow to customize the curing time for the application. Dry Vacuum Pump and its Types

What is a positive displacement pump?

How does a positive displacement pump works?

Reciprocating positive displacement pumps
A Reciprocating Positive Displacement pump works by the repeated back & forth movement of a piston, plunger or diaphragm. These cycles areas also called as reciprocation. In a piston pump, the first stroke of the piston creates a vacuum, opens an inlet valve, closes the outlet valve & draws fluid into the piston chamber (the suction phase). Rotary positive displacement pumps use the actions of rotating cogs or gears to transfer fluids, rather than the backward & forwards motion of reciprocating pumps. The rotating element develops a liquid seal with the pump casing & creates suction at the pump inlet. Fluid, drawn into the pump, is enclosed within the teeth of its rotating cogs/gears & transferred to the discharge. More than 45% of the European and American semiconductor industries have replaced the oil-sealed mechanical pumps with dry vacuum pumps, which greatly improved the performance and quality of the products. The ultimate pressure is from 10Pa to 10-2Pa, and the pumping speed is from 20m3/h to 500m3/h. According to statistics, the current domestic dry pump application is less than 1%. The domestic dry pumps for the semiconductor industry are all imported from abroad, and the price is very expensive.
