10 tips for better UX in form design When you ask for user data in online forms, a lot can go wrong. If your users leave the form, because they can't fll it out, they might not come back. Consider these tips when designing forms: 1. Let users know the benefits they get by completing your form 2. Be specific about error messages, display exactly what went wrong 3. Display error messages next to the respective field 4. Have crystal clear call to actions 5. Give your users feedback when their actions succeed 6. Include big enough tap areas (I am sure you have experience with not being able to tap... it is annoying) 7. Test the form with a keyboard which matches the expected input 8. Avoid super long dropdowns - it is hard to find the correct choice in those 9. Display the date format you are asking for from users 10.
