Who is your Business Consultant and How Can You Employ the Right Business Consultant?
Corporate training, financial projections, workforce training and consumer acquisitions are just a few of the challenges a business owners face. For startups or fast-growing businesses, the challenges are even more chaotic.
Managing your own company is a lot of work— with many moving parts. Any assistance you can get with your business is probably appreciated. You can hire a Oracle Hyperion EPM On-Premises Support consultant to help support your Oracle EPM systems which will help to improve your business.
What is a business consultant?
There are many niches that consultant specialized in that is very helpful to companies. Some of these niches are financial advisors, legal advisors, business planners, etc. Everybody wants these experts, but you don't always need them.
A Hyperion Essbase Consultant design and optimized your Essbase application and make it performed much better as your current application. Unlike the aforementioned consultants, a business advisor can do a bit. Think of them as an extension to you as a business owner, able to provide expertise when necessary and spend time looking into the areas in which the business needs are greatest.
Let's say you're going to release a new product, for example. You know a successful launch of this product could be enormous for your company, but also you are overwhelmed by general management. A business Infrastructure Design and Implementation consultant may help you with the design and implementation of your new product while you can focus on the management side of things where your presence is required.
Engage them in your corporate plan
Your business proposal may be a distant memory depending on where your business is developing or the ink may still be damp. In any case, it is not a bad idea for your business advisor to look over your business plan. You saw it many times so that you could overlook something. A consultant will provide you with a new perspective and help you to see any underlying problems.
Set goals
Just as a business needs a business plan, a corporate consultant needs objectives. When hiring a consultant, consider milestones or targets that a consultant would like to help you reach. Then, after hiring your consultant, go over these goals. This can be a great way to ensure that you don't have a consultant who just costs you money but has someone who really moves your business towards what you want.
Make it a sport team
Grant your staff access to your corporate consultant. Your employees have unique perspectives which can help the consultant get a clearer view of your business and make more informed choices. Your employees may also have fresh ideas that can help your business move in an unexpected, helpful direction.
Make your company to the next level
A business consultant will help you grow your small business while eliminating stressful products. You have established your business, and your vision needs your attention. With a company consultant that supports you, you can concentrate more time on your vision and less time on strategy, marketing and beyond.
A company is a team sport. Take your time to do your studies, and you'll eventually find a business consultant to help you reach the next level.

Explore the Reasons To Move Or Migrate Your EPM
Tumblr media
Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) is an effective ally to have when it comes to outperforming competitors across various market conditions, thanks to the insights and agility you can gain from using it. In a nutshell, Oracle Cloud EPM allows you to model and plan across critical areas like finance, HR, sales, and supply chain, all aiming to shape and push forward better data-driven decisions.
While the cloud is all the hype as of late, thanks to improved network speed, secure connections, and a solid case to lower costs thanks to its “only pay for what you need” approach. It’s also true that a lot is going on behind the scenes with on-premise applications that must be assessed entirely before moving to the cloud.
Why Migrate to the Cloud?
Cloud-based EPM solutions deliver corporate finance, accounting, and operational users significant opportunities in crucial business processes such as planning, financial merger and close, and management reporting. We will discuss some primary drivers for moving finance functions to the cloud.
Reduce Total Expense of Ownership
The total price of ownership for EPM processes is materially lower in the cloud because standard overhead functions are facilitated by Oracle rather than the client.
High upfront costs such as new hardware are eradicated with the cloud. The enduring cost of hardware in existing on-premises systems can be considerable. The hardware must be occasionally upgraded manually as new releases update functionality. Additionally, the expense of new hardware usually presents an obstacle when exploring new implementation phases.
Beyond hardware, associated IT service costs are much lower with the cloud. This includes support of security hardware, periodic maintenance, data backups, software upgrades, application monitoring, and disaster recovery. In the cloud, these services are conducted by the cloud service provider (Oracle) and are included in the subscription price.
Innovation and Enhancements
Another advantage of the Oracle EPM Cloud is the practicality of new features that can enhance EPM efficiency and accuracy for users. Traditional on-premises software can go 2-4 years between upgrades. The cloud allows the rapid development of innovations since all the customers are on a common platform. This shared usage provides enhancements that were not feasible with on-premises software needing to support different deployment platforms and custom customer landscapes.
Leverage Best Practices
For some company-specific EPM processes, the fastest way to the cloud may be to lift and move current EPM processes to the cloud. However, for many of the most common EPM business operations (such as expense planning, workforce planning, financial consolidation, etc.), adopting best practices built into the cloud should be a key advantage.
These best-practice frameworks in Oracle Cloud EPM are entirely configurable and designed to meet each customer's unique needs. Furthermore, the frameworks are wholly connected. This functionality allows for superb flexibility when managing specific business requirements.
The best-practice frameworks are planned around a maturity model that accounts for the truth that many companies choose to adopt best practices over time.
Conclusion
As corporate finance strives to serve its business stakeholders better, Oracle Cloud Performance Management proves to be the perfect tool for this goal. Most EPM users are transitioning to cloud-based financial systems, and thousands of customers have already grown in Cloud EPM. Investing in this process and technology will allow for more efficient delivery of these services.

PBCS (Planning Budgeting Cloud Services):
Oracle’s Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS) is Oracle’s first EPM Cloud based application available in a SaaS (Software as a Service) deployment Model. It Provides flexible Planning ready for the cloud. It is based on Hyperion Planning that supports enterprise wide planning and Budgeting. It is a rich web and Microsoft office enabled Planning, supports driver-based planning.
Features:
2 Environments (Prod, Non-Prod)
Limit of 1 Planning Model
Each additional planning model requires subscription
Resource limit 150 GB for all
It does not include other planning modules like Workforce, Capex and Project planning
Fast adoption
First in class Functionality
Flexible Deployments.
PBCS Uses EPM Automate to automate the Metadata and Data (FDMEE) in to PBCS planning applications. All the data in Analytics cube which will be used for Reporting and User reporting for better decisions. Below Diagram shows the architecture of PBCS Applications.

Hyperion Planning Vs PBCS:
User perspective there are little differences however from Administration/Development There are differences between Hyperion Planning and PBCS below diagram shows some of them.
Tumblr media
Other than the diagram below are (is) some more difference we see in Cloud Vs On-Prem.
Data Management: DMEE Lite version included in PBCS, but we need to have license to use FDMEE in On-Premises.
Applications: PBCS has 7 limited applications (3 BSO and 4 ASO), In case of On-Premises we can create unlimited number of applications.
Patching: Patching is done automatically in PBCS as it is SaaS, But in On-Premises we need to download and install the patches.
Backups: Oracle Provides us with automatic backups in PBCS, but in On-Premises they are not automatic we need to setup for Backups
Some functionalities are common in Both PBCS and Hyperion Planning (On-Premises).
Essbase: PBCS and On-Premises applications use Essbase as their Data storage and Calculation Engine.
Financial Reports: Reports also will be used in Both PBCS and On-Premises.
Smart View: Both uses Smart View excel add-in for Adhoc reporting.
