Adecco is currently recruiting for a Business Analyst for a 6-month contract with possibility of extension with our Crown Corporation Client in Etobicoke, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance. This "hands on" role will interface with the client business areas, its managers and end system users to define, design, implement Oracle WMS Cloud (a.k.a. LogFire)-based WMS solutions; to train, and provide on-going production support. This position will work closely with the Oracle vendor to ensure that any customizations meet business requirements and with operations to ensure that we maximize the use of common functionality across all areas using the Oracle WMS Cloud (a.k.a. LogFire) tool. This role will also assist and coordinate aspects of on-going cross-functional projects as required. The Business Analyst will have the following responsibilities: • Executes Business Analyst responsibility for assigned projects and change requests including: • Gathering business requirements from both internal and client operations staff. • Documenting and designing solutions based upon client business requirements. • Creating and delivering design workshops. • Creating and delivering functional specifications. • Configuring the system solution • Developing and maintaining project documentation, standard operating procedures, and other documentation as required during and after executing on implementation tasks. • Creating and delivering training material • Creating and executing test scripts. • Participating in post implementation reviews to ensure projects are measured against actual deliverables, with a focus toward continuous process improvement. • Utilizing the client IT project management methodology and tools during implementations • Effective execution of assigned tasks, ensuring timelines, budgets, targets and deliverables are properly monitored and attained. • Ensures adherence to the change management processes and provides quality assurance to all deliverables. • Build and maintain highly effective relationships with key shareholder groups, business and process owners throughout the organization • On-going communications of activities, initiatives and issues with team and Manager as appropriate. • Proactively identify and implement value added process improvements for internal operations and external clients to either reduce cost or generation additional revenue. • Production Support: • Provide production support during business hours and after-hours (after business hours including weekends as part of on-call rotation among other Oracle WMS Cloud BAs). • Ensure adherence to SLA by vendor • Ensure company prescribe incident management processes are followed. • Liaises with the vendor to: • Request software enhancement, quote and ETA • Manage on-time, on budget, high quality delivery of enhancement requests • Upgrades: • Keep abreast of the changes being planned for implementation by the vendor and ensure affected business areas are aware of any potential implications to their operations. • Implement upgrades; coordinate the client activity to ensure that system upgrades are properly planned for and tested. • Lobby for changes that would benefit the client with the vendor and other clients as necessary • Information security / Yearly audit • Participate with other areas of IT in the yearly audit process • Act as the focal point for any information requests or questions related to the Oracle WMS Cloud (a.k.a. LogFire) environment. • Ensure that the company information security policies are followed in the Oracle WMS Cloud (a.k.a. LogFire) environment. The Business Analyst must meet the following mandatory requirements: - Experience implementing Oracle WMS Cloud (a.k.a. LogFire) or other similar WMS systems. - Business and Technical experience in Warehouse management software and warehousing operations - Detail-oriented, creative, self-motivated, proactive and innovative - A drive for continuous process improvement - Good understanding of test strategies, test planning and test methodologies - Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and competing priorities in a high-pressure environment - Demonstrated accuracy with reports and projects, analytical aptitude and strong attention to detail - Strong teamwork, verbal, written, interpersonal skills, critical thinking and analytical skills - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff to exchange information, ideas, and answer inquiries - Ability to work well with diverse groups of people with a clear vision of client and business needs - Ability to participate on multi-disciplinary work teams to achieve successful execution of complex implementation projects - Good understanding of problem solving approach - Good understanding of configuration considerations for packaged software solutions. - Integration experience with 3rd party systems such as TMS, ERP using HTML, EDI, WebMethods etc. - Knowledge of Radio Frequency (Functional) systems with the ability to design custom WM RF transactions.
