(I’m so sorry it’s long! 😩)
“But,” Luca chattered on, “no one here has any exciting or rare abilities. Like shape-shifting into whatever form they want, or controlling fire”—her stomach clenched at that—“or oracular sight. We did have a female wander in with raw magic two years ago—she could do anything she wanted, summon any element, and she was here a week before Maeve called her to Doranelle and we never heard from her again. A shame—she was so pretty, too. But it’s the same here as it is everywhere else: a few people with a pathetic trace of elemental powers that are really only fun for farmers.”-Heir of Fire
The rarity of oracles has been emphasized repeatedly in the Throne of Glass series, with Elain in ACOTAR, and in Crescent City as well. I can’t help but feel that oracles play a significant role in this whole crossover. But why? Why are they so important in these three series? Could they be the connectors between different worlds or realms?
What about 'controlling fire'? Aelin is obviously the one in Throne of Glass. In Crescent City, there's Lidia, and of course, the Thunderbirds. Hunt has lightning abilities and helped Bryce leap to ACOTAR. So, for ACOTAR, is Vassa the one? Can she wield fire and lightning? If not her, then who else? Nesta? Amren?
The female wanderer sounds similar to what Feyre has. I wonder who she was?
It seems to me that oracular sight and fire/lightning abilities often go hand in hand when it comes to crossovers. Idk, I wonder if we’ll see a lot of interaction between Vassa and Elain. Could they be the keys to opening worlds together?
"What blinds the oracle? Light. So, is the Starborn’s ability just to emit a bright light? And what about shadow-wielding? You made some good points about how Elain prefers sunshine to 'blind' her clairvoyant abilities, which might explain her connection to Azriel, the shadow-wielder.
I also think Feyre can glow bright like Bryce. I can see how the '3 x 3' might revive the Dusk Court. But why does the crossover need to happen for the Dusk Court to rise again?
Really good points! Very interesting.
We know that the oracles can see 'across worlds'--the Asteri used them to try to locate Prythian, and Bryce and other worlds that they can potentially invade.
The Suriel told Feyre that he saw 'doe eyes peering across the world' at him and that's how Elain was able to locate him. So we know that like the oracles, Elain is able to locate someone specifically--the Suriel, per Feyre's request--but also Vassa, on 'accident'. And Koschei.
I think, my personal theory, is that the Valgs will be the ultimate Big Bad of SJM's universe. Worse than the Asteri (I don't think that the Asteri are the same as the Valgs). The one thing that destroys Valgs is Fire--so those who can wield will come in handy.
Some speculated that the women that Koschei is collecting at the lake are oracles--maybe he is also looking to either open the Rifts or to find where his planet is.
I do think that Vassa will play a role, for sure. I think she is definitely more than just an enchanted fire bird queen. And Elain will drive the discoveries?

Modernize Legacy Systems Using Low‑Code
Legacy Modernization built on platforms like SAP, .NET, Oracle, Lotus Notes/Domino, or on-prem SharePoint—fuel core operations yet present significant challenges costly maintenance, frequent downtime, poor usability, and limited compatibility with modern tools.
Accro’s low‑code modernization approach offers a strategic alternative to costly rewrites or COTS replacements, a phased, scalable path to resilience and agility.
Extend: Rather than discarding legacy systems upfront, Accro builds modern, low‑code front-ends that integrate smoothly with existing back-ends. This extends functionality and improves user experience through improved interfaces—web, mobile, or IoT-enabled—without disrupting the core.
Migrate: Over time, modules are incrementally ported from monolithic systems to a composable, cloud‑ready architecture. By decoupling business logic and refactoring into discrete low‑code components, companies can migrate operations gradually, reducing risk while enhancing agility.
Replace: For systems approaching end-of-life, Accro delivers custom replacement applications developed rapidly via low-code. Tailored to business needs, these replace legacy systems with minimal cost and disruption—unlike generic COTS or resource-heavy traditional builds.
4. Microservices Modernization:
Using low‑code platforms' API-first approach, monoliths are deconstructed into scalable microservices. With APIs and pre-built connectors, these services are reusable, independently deployable, and ideal for CI/CD practices—supporting fast, reliable updates.
Why Low‑Code Works:
Fast development cycles: Visual drag‑and‑drop interfaces accelerate delivery—modernized apps deploy in weeks not years. Cost-effective scaling: Reusable components and faster builds translate to savings—lower TCO, fewer resources. Better security & UX: Fewer bugs, compliance with modern protocols, and an intuitive UI uplift end-user experience. Seamless integration: Built-in connectors/support for standards (REST, SOAP, FHIR, OData) and custom adapters enable interoperability.
Your Path to Digital Resilience: By partnering with Accro, you take a futureproof shortcut to modernization no more monolith bottlenecks, no more long waits, and no more legacy lock‑in. Instead modular, user-friendly, scalable systems built fast, integrated deeply, and ready to evolve.
