hello um. explodes into a million pieces
[id: two digital art pieces of characters from horizon: forbidden west. the first image has three different drawings featuring aloy, seyka, and beta. aloy is in the oseram artificer outfit with leather armor, bracers, and a leather crop top vest with red cloth; beta is in the nora huntress outfit, with a leather tunic and a light blue bandana around her neck; and seyka is in her usual outfit with a white-and-gray fabric armor and a pink-and-gray scarf. the backgrounds in these pieces are a textured light pink.
the first drawing is an upper body shot of aloy and beta, who are side-by-side, each with an arm slung over the other's shoulder, the sides of their heads touching. aloy has her other hand on her hip and is smiling at beta, though she also looks slightly concerned. beta is ducking her head slightly, her other arm curled into herself as she also smiles, albeit a little anxiously.
the second drawing is of aloy and seyka. aloy is sitting down, her legs outstretched while seyka is laying back against her chest. seyka has an interface open in front of her that she's curiously navigating through, her tongue sticking out. aloy is peering down at her and smiling. they're both slightly blushing.
the final drawing is an upper body shot of aloy and seyka. seyka is grabbing aloy by the shoulders and frantically shaking her, gasping in amazement, her eyes sparkling. aloy looks pretty startled but otherwise isn't fighting against it.
the second image is of a sunwing, a pterosaur-like robot. she is standing, lifting one wing to preen at it. she is simply colored a slightly darker shade than the background. the text reads, "Sunny the Sunwing <3" end id]

What were the things/characters/quests you enjoyed the most about HFW and what do you hope for possible DLCs?
First of all, love the gameplay. It's a blast and I'm having a ton of fun messing around in the postgame. The haptic feedback for the PS5 dualsense is delightful...holding R2 to ignite firegleam, hrrnGHH ✨s e n s o r y✨
I was, as predicted, a huge fan of the jock-ass Tenakth. The Tenakth side quests were awesome in particular. Yarra my absolute vulture mom beloved. I wish we'd have had more imperative to spend time in the Tenakth settlements during the main quest, outside of The Broken Sky and the Kulrut.
In fact, a lot of the side characters were awesome. Yarra, Delah, Boomer, the Vegas Oseram guys, Silga--awesome supporting cast.
I'm still working on the Cauldrons, but they've been great this time around.
I know this one is a little polarizing, but--I personally thought the entirety of the Faro's Tomb main quest was a masterpiece. A shining star amidst some weaker material. And this coming from someone who was firmly in the camp of not wanting to see an alive or otherwise undead Faro. It was the only main quest that had me totally riveted from start to finish--much more of an HZD feel to it.
Alva, too, was a high point for me. Zo and Kotallo as well. The new allies each got a little time to shine and endear themselves to us. I wish the returning characters could've received that same benefit.
While the Base was a personal disappointment for a number of reasons, I did love the accents and touches the allies brought with them. And the absolutely maimed training dummies in Aloy's bedroom. Gal was working out some issues in there.
I loved how Beta's design (darker red hair, as hers hasn't had a reason to be bleached by the sun) and acting (I called Ashly Burch getting a triple credit) really lent themselves to forming a wholly separate vision of other fragments of Sobeck.
We got Milu!!!!! but at what cost.
I got about six seconds of hot Carja sword action, yeah?
As for my hopes for DLCs, I talked about that a little in this post!
