The views were good. The run... Well, nothing went wrong and the trails were in good condition, but it was definitely and exercise in perseverance. And in not getting upset/stressed about running slowly.

Well, if you caught my blog post yesterday you’ll have noticed I left work feeling a little depleted. I had that familiar feeling hanging over me, you know the one that screams ‘there has got to be more to life than this’.
So instead of laying on the sofa catching up on X Factor and eating cake I decided to make the most of my evening.
The sky was so blue. Clearer than i’ve seen it in England for many weeks. I knew it would be a good night for a walk.
So I grabbed my companion and we jumped in the car to head up to Otley Chevin!
If you don’t know England too well, Otley Chevin is a forest park just outside of Leeds city centre in West Yorkshire. It overlooks my current home in the small town of Guiseley, the beautiful town of Otley and Leeds-Bradford airport.
It’s not far from my house at all and it’s great to have some beautiful greenery right on my doorstep. This is where the hikers, dog walkers and photographers head for the views, nature and wildlife.
I didn’t have a plan, I just wanted to wander and feel out in the world again. So we walked.
With the impeccable timing of it all we managed to catch the sunset and watch the rainbow of colours the sky turns.
I love that I can even watch the planes from up here because we are so close to the airport!
We even found some swings in the woods where we could let out our inner child and make me feel so dizzy I couldn’t stand!
I know it was just a simple short walk in an evening but it’s moments like that which make memories. I feel rejuvenated and much more refreshed just from adding that in to my day yesterday.
I will definitely need to make this a more common occurrence.
What a difference a walk makes.. Well, if you caught my blog post yesterday you'll have noticed I left work feeling a little depleted.

So, the forecast was good for the whole of Saturday so I got up at a reasonable time - threw the last of the washing drying on the clothes horse out into the line and headed out for the moors before the buses got overly busy. Trail running time! 😁
Pic A was taken from the hill in pic B, and pic B was taken from the ridge in pic A. Basically one runs along the ridge that ends in the hill of B and then down the valley, up the other side and off along the ridge shown in A. Beautiful.
The whole valley is open for viewing all the way, just sitting on your right hand. It's a great old run.
