Alpha XYX x Reader
THIS IS A JOKE I SWEAR
Y/N turned on their laptop and webcam opening the server. They couldn't believe they were going to do this, but then again the idea of everyone's reactions sounded pretty funny. It had been Xyx's idea, he came up with it after learning about "TikTok alphas". He thought it'd be a funny way to troll everyone, he just needed a partner.
{Y/N is online seeing the Quest, Owl, and Toaster talking normally while June and Salocin are online but not active} Quest: ah hello, good morning Y/N! Y/N: Good morning everyone, how are you? Nightowl: I could be better, feeling a bit sick. NakedToaster: You know what could make you feel less sick? Nightowl: … Nightowl: what will make me feel less sick? NakedToaster: ffxiv NakedToaster: oh, and soup, plus some rest. Nightowl: since you actually gave real advice I will let that slide Y/N: aww how sweet, but I hope you get better soon Nightowl {quest reacted with an arrow emoji to y/n's message before going offline} {XYX is online} XYX: Hello my kittens Nightowl: what a way to say hi Y/N: Hello xyx NakedToaster: man wtf XYX: what? XYX: what's wrong kitten number 2392 NakedToaster: 2392!?! man you nned help Y/N: need* also what number am I? XYX: Number 1 Nightowl: what the hay June: hello? XYX: Hello kitten number 8 NakedToaster: number 8 NakedToaster: she's number 8, while I'm, number 2392? XYX: yes kitten number 2392 Nightowl: They're going mental because of you Y/N: that's not very sigma or alpha of you June: so not sigma more alpha for real XYX: GGRRRR WHAT DID YOU SAY XYX: you don't what to make daddy angry Nightowl {sob emoji} DADDY? HELLO??? June: HELLO? WHAT IS HAPPENING NakedToaster: what XYX: you've angered the alpha Y/N: uh oh, we're so sorry alpha NakedToaster: don't play into this Y/N: But he's the alpha and I'm his number one kitten Nightowl: this feels fruity June: xyx is fruity
This is unfinished for now but hope you like it!

All of my Ninjago AUs because I am insane & autistic + it's fun
(disclaimer, a vast majority of these focus on cole brookstone because favouritism bias)
My Nonexistant Friend - Ghost!Cole AU where Day of the Departed...did not end so well. He's trapped in the Airjitzu Temple and is effectivly erased from existance. He suffers in nonexistant puragtory for 300 years until Lloyd's future students move in and the Master of Earth of this new era befriends the ghost. Fluff, feels & the power of friendship ensue
Perma Ghost - Ninjago but Cole remains a ghost. To prevent him from fading he anchors himself to friendship bracelets all the ninja + Wu & Pixal wear. He can't stray to far from anyone wearing a friendship bracelet but he doesn't mind he's always with a friend.
Curseworlds - Possession bad end, heavily inspired by The Star from Fionna & Cake. The Preeminent has won and has cursed all the realms and ghosts torment the remaining living souls. A small faction of survivors is fighting to take out the Queen of the Cursed, but it's very difficult with her two princes causing havoc. Anyone order evil Sandstorm?
Reverse - An alt Ninjago where Wu was bit by the Great Devourer instead of Garmadon. Wu becomes an evil dictator, Ninjago is in a lawless era, the og ninja are all traumatised child soldiers made to do Wu's bidding, Garmadon and a few familiar faces are fighting back.
Genderswap - As it says, everyone is genderswapped. But it's like Fionna & Cake where some stuff is different because of the swapped genders.
Elemental Anacondrai - Chen decides to be extra twisted and mark all the loosers of the Tournament with the Anacondrai Mark as a sign of ownership. When the cult is transformed into Anacondrai, they too. So for the last two episodes of ToE, Skylor, Karlof, Gravis, Bolobo, Ash, Cole, Jacob, Chamile & Tox are turned into Anacondrai.
Constrictai!Cole - Cole isn't dehypnotised at the end of Home and is taken prisoner by the Hypnobrai. When the Fangpyre are free and team up with the Hypnobrai, Skales has them turn Cole into a Serpentine. He ends up a Constrictai. The ninja end up rescueing him durring Can of Worms, remove the hypnotism with some anti-venom tea, and now Cole must adjust to his new reptilian body. Lots of Glacier
Lost But Never Found - AU where Cole ends up in the Land of Lost things after running away from his school. He becomes a Finder and is living his best life with his new found family. Sora also ends up there after running away and Cole adopts her
Vampire!Cole - Cole ends up becoming a vampire after getting attacked by one. Lots of hyjinks & vampire hunting (hunting other vampires, not Cole)
Wu Adopts Cole - Wu finds Cole a lot earlier then canon, at 10 years old. He's an orphan, his mum passed from illness and his dad drank himself to death. Wu raises Cole, trains him in his Elemental Power, very wholesome Dad Wu stuff.
Amphibijago - Ninjago + Amphibia crossover. Cole, Kai and Jay take the places of the Calamity Girls and end up in Amphibia. Cole ends up with the frogs, Kai ends up with the toads, Jay ends up with the newts. What could go wrong
The Oni House - Ninjago + The Owl House, basically the Owl House but with Ninjago characters. Cole is a troubled teen about to be sent off to a performing arts boarding school when he ends up in a realm of witches, demons and magic after wandering through a portal. There he meets Lord Garmadon, the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles and his baby dragon demon Rocky. Lava time
Ninja in Eorzea - Ninjago + FFXIV. The ninja play the criticly acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV with an extended free trail with unlimited playtime that allows them to play the award winning expansions Heavensward and Stormblood, and they get suckef in...litterally like Prime Empire.
Miraculous: Tales of Firefly & Charcole Cat - Ninjago + Miraculous. Ninjago City is being ravaged by supervillains created by someone known as the Dark Lord. But new heros have arisen, known as Firefly & Charcole Cat, ready to protect the city from the Dark Lord while trying to balance school & dating. HONEYCOMB MY OTP
Age of Elements - My original Ninjago story set 300 years after canon. Lloyd is training 7 new ninja, the Elemental Masters of Fire, Earth, Wind, Nature, Water, Lightning and Ice to protect the world because a prophetic vision of the furure said so. He's trying his best to make sure they aren't super traumatised by having them keep their ninja identity a secret, not keeping secrets about the FSM family lore, having them go to school, but trauma as a Ninja is a canon event. Got 18 seasons planned and counting

Before anyone says I'm being some kind of weeb for saying the NA Marketing Team of Mabinogi sucks and the Korean team is so much better I need to make this abundantly clear to you... the difference is night and day and I get way too ADHD special interest about this so here I'll save your dash from this post unless you're specifically interested.
This is the advertisement/commercial/announcement for G27 for Korean players on the official Korean Mabinogi Channel, it's literally about a minute and a half long and I urge you to watch it for the sake of comparison.
youtube
Some things I quickly want to point out for people who don't play.
You might notice that a lot of the tech in this video looks old, and you might think the game graphics being shown look really old school. That's because this:
Tumblr media
Is literally showing a scene from the first main storyline quest; this is showing what the game was like for players like myself who played this back in the early days of it's life. This is literally supposed to be showing the game back in 2004 / 2008 (4 for KR 8 for NA release)
A big reason for this is that one thing about the Korean marketing side of things is that they love to show/remind players how far we've come in the years this game has been alive and kicking.
Even the aspect ratio here is emulating that old square PC monitor look:
Tumblr media
Though funny enough, I know this isn't supposed to be directly after release because there's literally a giant in the party who didn't exist during the original initial launch. Only being released alongside elves during the Iria update. The point here is that yes, this is MEANT to be old.
Also it's really cute that the opening scene of this ad is taking place in real life, because the plot of Mabinogi specifically states that you as the Milletian are essentially the soul of the player. The player being called to the world of Erinn through the soul stream, and of course owls are used to communicate over long distances and are typically the ones who drop off quests and such. So seeing a real life dude who sees an owl and then ends up finding fellow gamers who are playing Mabinogi? That's a really nice touch actually.
Literally don't even get me started on all the old tech shown in this video though I would be here all day and that's not the point, like look at this though
Tumblr media
I'm almost positive that's an old flip phone that had one of those rotating screens, however I could be wrong.
My point with all of this, is that this is the quality we get from the Korean side of things; and that's no shock considering it's literally a Korean MMORPG. The Korean youtube channel loves to upload lengthy playlists for the music present in the game and regularly releases updates and videos on events they hold in Korea for players to do content seemingly before it comes out publicly. It's cool to see how much the Korean branch really does care about this game,
Furthermore let's look at how they show these public events.
youtube
This was the video released for the Mabinogi Cafe again, a minute and a half; and we see even the game developers and lead figures coming out to interact with players. It's all very professional but lighthearted and fun. I would kill to go to a cafe like this as a lifelong fan of this game.
Lastly I want you to see how Mabinogi's Korean youtube account shows off their music, because this is huge to me. Now THIS video is about 2 hours long but you only need to see a few minutes or even a few seconds to understand precisely what I'm talking about...
youtube
The things I would do to be at that live show, I shall not say.
This is FFXIV levels of like, professional live music. I would fucking cry dude.
Tumblr media
Okay so we're all on the same page now right? We have some kind of understanding of what the KR youtube channel is like? This is important because I want you to think about the fact that for some people if they look up Mabinogi in Korea this is the sort of stuff they're going to find from the OFFICIAL channel.
So then what's the NA branch working with? I mean come on they could probably do just as well right? No I get it they don't have all the same material to work with but they could certainly do something similar. Let's check out their content advertisements, I mean the commercial for G27 was stellar in Korea surely the NA branch has something for that right?
Tumblr media
Huh, actually they don't... they have a few content updates; and advertisements that show off gacha stuff... But hey there's a G26 trailer! Surely that's at least something to compare, and Eternity!
Well let's start with the G26 trailer shall we? It's literally only 36 seconds long this won't take too long to watch.
youtube
Why didn't they even dub it in English?
Am I bring nitpicky? Kind of, but like... again look at the quality Korea put into a video 3 times as long and then look at what was probably literally handed to NA from KR and maybe edited to have the English text. I don't know this feels kinda lazy and kind of boring.
In fact, I know for a fact that Korea probably made the original clips for this and that's PROBABLY why it's dubbed over in Korean because Korea does the same style of trailers; but they have MANY more videos that actually show more than just 30 seconds of still images. I mean yea this is ALSO a Korean trailer for a G27 update.
youtube
However this isn't solely the only thing Koreans get to see, so I can honestly look past this so much easier because THIS video is surrounded by:
Tumblr media
Otherwise quality videos, playlists, and trailers that adequately show off the game to new and active players alike.
I understand that Korea showed VERY old gameplay in the STAR trailer but there was at least gameplay, no it's not showing gameplay that represents what the game looks like with modern updates I get that, but at least we got to see the game.
Now I'm not saying NA doesn't do videos that show gameplay they do. In fact if we're being fair, and I do want to be fair here; NA released videos for the Astro update that were actually quite good. Nowhere near the quality or production value of what Korea does but hey they weren't trash. So let's give them a fair shake and look at the Eternity trailer, for those unaware; Eternity is a big overhaul for the graphics of Mabinogi. They're going back and remaking the game in Unreal to align it more with the original concept art and it looks fantastic, let's see how much of that comes across in the trailer!
youtube
Okay so I'm really mixed on this one because on one hand, this is actually not AWFUL. In fact I think if you already know the context for it all, and already know Mabinogi; and already enjoy the game, this trailer is good. Because you see the hair physics and the clothes physics and you know what all of that means. You have a comparison, so you get hyped about how cool seeing the game in this way actually is. It's cool to see something so authentically Mabinogi with a new coat of paint and updated graphics.
As much as I do ADORE the classic Mabinogi graphics I do think that Eternity is going to bring in new players, because the biggest hurdle for a LOT of people is actually that they think the game looks bad. So hey that's cool! However if I didn't know jack shit about Mabinogi, this trailer isn't for me. This trailer is for people who are already into the game. Because otherwise it makes the game look like a fashion game.
Okay full stop. I get it.
Every Mabinogi player in existence just pulled a gun on me like John Wick style for saying "it makes this look like a Fashion Game" because we all know Fashionogi is the end game. I'm not saying that it's not nor am I in any way trying to downplay the importance of fashion in this game.
However.
However!
We need to remember that this is one of the few videos that people looking up Mabinogi on the OFFICIAL NA MABINOGI YOUTUBE CHANNEL are going to see. It's a video catered greatly towards people who already play the game, I would rather it show the current graphics and then swap to the new graphics. Because that's not what happens; all that happens is that we see the graphics go from grayscale to color. It could have shown how things currently look, and how they'll look post update rather than simply adding color to already updated graphics. It could have even shown how stiff things like hair and clothing are currently and how the physics will effect that. It could have been more of an actual commercial/ad/trailer for an update to an audience both currently playing the game AND who are just seeing it for the first time.
Look you might think I'm just being hard on NA, that I must not like NA because they're not as cool or whatever.
No I dislike NA because THIS; THIS is how they handle their event meet ups and such.
I will spare you from having to watch the full 4 minute video but we really do go from like... mature professional cafe meet up to like... whatever the fuck this is.
Now listen I understand if you think "wow dude it's not that bad have a sense of humor" okay but I cannot stress that for a good while this was the face of NA Mabinogi
Tumblr media
like it was so clear what was coming straight from KR vs what NA thought was silly funny marketing.
I'm all for a silly meme or a proper joke or something but come on man just... I'm tired. I mean no disrespect to the Soulstreamers or anyone else who worked on this stuff I understand it probably wasn't their idea and they had far less funding and support to work with.
I am not naive to these things. I understand that they can't just fly the devs out to do a meet up at a convention, I understand that they don't have a cafe or whatever. I get that, believe me I get that because if there was a Mabinogi cafe in NA's region I'd have gone to it by now.
However this is embarrassing.
And hear me out for just a second here, when I say I don't mean any disrespect to the people involved I mean it. I DO actually see NA getting better; for example THIS is from NA's official account too, and I feel that what we see here is handled SO much better. Again a quick minute and a half but pay attention to who's like... actually handling the video.
youtube
Yea it's the KR team. However if the NA team keeps going in this direction I genuinely think it would be healthier for Mabinogi's NA reputation.
All in all I'm not trying to be some hater, but there is a LOT about Mabinogi's NA team that I personally just don't agree with. The way they handle things comparably to the KR team is embarrassing to me as someone who enjoys the game, and as someone who recommends it to people. Because every time someone looks up the game and goes "so wait is this like... a game for children?" I have to go "no that's just NA... listen..." and then send them a bunch of KR videos.
AND I CANNOT STRESS HOW QUICKLY THEIR OPINION ON THE GAME CHANGES.
The thing about it isn't that I have no sense of humor or that I somehow dislike the people involved (I literally don't have any strong opinions about the people involved, I just disagree with how they're choosing to market the game because I think it does a noticeably poor job.) I just get annoyed at how I've told people for ages now that the NA marketing team is kinda bad at what they do, and you can see this when you look at how people who don't play Mabinogi react to the marketing and videos.
It's the same thing as when I say Mabinogi's NA servers have a big issue with the community being fairly toxic (not to say there aren't good players) and people act like I'm literally calling everyone a slur or something, and prove my point by deciding I'm the scum of the earth for saying "people on this game can be rude as hell sometimes and very clique-y and that can be off putting to new players." However I digress because that's a point for an entirely different post on the matter.
You can actually see concrete evidence of both these things in the user numbers and who the hell actually plays this game. The community in this game is so small that even players with absolutely 0 online internet presence become regularly known figures by just... existing. It's like a small town, you know who people are because you've seen them the last 500 days in a row you've played this damn game.
When people say "why isn't anyone new playing this game?" I often give one of two reasons.
The marketing around this game is awful in the NA region and primarily focuses on pandering to people who ALREADY play the game rather than showing new players what's actually good about the game. They focus on all the wrong talking points and try to be funny and it just doesn't work.
When a new player DOES join the game they're hit with this brick wall of a community who demand a lot of you. I've literally been told to quit playing if I "don't plan to play religiously every single day." Which you might think is some rare extremist view, but considering the fact guilds still expect you in the year 2025, to literally go through an interview process? Yea, listen this game's community is something... I've literally been successful in finding chill and fun people to play with by simply saying as much and seeing how they react. It's really easy to tell because 99% of sane individuals will understand where you're coming from and agree with you to some capacity that overall the community is kind of off-putting but judging people on a person to person basis is the way to go because there's a lot of cool and chill people out there (which is true!) Whereas the alternative is that they know they fit into the category of those kind of problematic players and get pissy with you for having a "bad and wrong opinion" or whatever. I've literally been told I need therapy because I mentioned that I didn't like openly talking to random people in this game after someone called me arrogant for... standing near one of their friends while I was AFK because said friend was also my friend... yeaaaah okay.
For the sake of this post, that first point is actually the important one, but the two go hand in hand. NA's marketing is so bad that what few players do manage to find the game and decide to play it never stick either because they don't know what they're getting into and the game makes no sense; or because they get scared off by the larger community of the game.
For the record I literally saw someone streaming the game who was new to it; and a guild was literally pressuring them into joining to the point the streamer said "I feel like I'm being recruited into a cult..." and was audibly uncomfortable.
So why do I even bother bringing that up? Why does anything about the community matter when we're talking about the marketing?
Because if the NA marketing was actually GOOD and enough new players actually began playing the game we'd see far less of this clique behavior. Because we'd actually have smaller sub-groups and players would be able to find more likeminded people without being literally preyed on by guilds looking to amass bigger and bigger numbers for the sake of popularity because that makes them feel powerful or something I don't know man I just play with my friends.
Mabinogi's current community lives and dies by drama and a big part of that is that they're basically one relatively small collective fandom of players. It's been like that for a long time and we've seen people drop like flies over the years, but you know what's interesting about the people I've seen stick around? They don't participate in that childish bullshit.
New players get picked up by big guilds that aggressively pressure them into joining and demand their time and activity; then those players get brought into the fold about the drama and bullshit that said big guilds perpetuate for the sake of relevancy and social clout and what you're left with is twitter. Not everyone wants to turn a fun MMORPG into another 9 - 5 job at the drama factory so they stop playing.
We NEED good marketing to bring in ENOUGH new players that we don't see this kind of clique-y fandom drama behavior as the norm and THEN I genuinely and firmly believe that we'll see a healthier Mabinogi for it.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk, I cannot tell you how sure I am that at least one person is going to get mad at me for saying this shit even though it's purely my own opinion based off my experiences.

okay, time for the annual flora game awards!! here are my top 5!
5. wow: the war within - i really enjoyed this expac! i went into the year with high expectations for ffxiv dawntrail but ended up not really caring for it? meanwhile tww just blew me away! it was so fun exploring the new areas and i quite enjoyed the characters and story! i got really immersed, and the anni event was so fun too!
4. unicorn overlord - gorgeous graphics, fun gameplay, and wonderful character designs!! i think this game turned me into a furry! i wish i could put it higher but the story was just so awful it left a bad taste in my mouth. maybe awful isn't the right word, more just.. generic? the story felt like nothing and the mc had no personality, but owl woman pretty <3
3. dq3 remake - see above in regards to the story, but in this case the generic story served the game well and filled it with a sense of nostalgic wonder. it genuinely felt like playing a straightforward rpg from 2000 but with modern hd2d graphics! and i love hd2d <3 very fun rpg, just the right length too! not too short, not too long! and i got to make my whole party love live girls hehe
2. metaphor:refantazio - okay so i just beat this game yesterday but there is no recency bias here, this game is very solid. my only criticism is it felt a bit too much like p5. but it uses the same engine, so fair enough i guess. i wish they mixed the formula up a bit and did away with the calendar system/made archetypes less like personas (in concept, they're different in gameplay at least which is good) but that's all nitpicking, the story and characters were so fantastic, the game made me cry multiple times, ill be thinking of eupha and heismays stories for a long time. beautifully written game with so many fun plot twists! the archetypes made builds very customizable :3
1. fields of mistria - this shouldn't shock anyone. i waited a long time for this game and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. it perfectly blends the charm of old harvest moon games with the qol of stardew valley and the result is genuinely the best farming game i have ever played. cute graphics, loveable characters, and fun gameplay! i have literally no criticism, other than that i want more! i can't wait for the next update!!

One of the strangest parts about my FFXIV experience of playing multiple characters is that I tend to get oddly specific quirks of weather for each other them? Like,
Callyn Brightstar: The patron saint of Camp Drybone, because she shows up, and the rain shows up with her (it's specifically Camp Drybone this happens in, too, she encounters rain on a pretty average frequency everywhere else)
Steel Samurai: (secretly Miles Edgeworth) Weather is the normal level of 'can't predict the weather'
Albert Valleyfoot: no special weather, but has an odd tendency so that, whenever he's going through the any sort of main or scenario, significant moments happen at night, he is apparently a night owl
Roman Torchwick: my second character I isekaied to Eorzea, and just... Callyn gets rain in Camp Drybone; Torchwick gets rain everywhere, with shocking frequency, often at night, the only reason he isn't cold and wet in the dark is that there's no temperature measure in this game (turns out his semblance was high chance of getting rained on whenever not in an urban environment all along, no wonder he stuck to the city)
And there's no real overlap between them in regards to getting each others' quirks to the extent they themselves do. I don't know why or how this happens, but it's certainly fun to use for flavouring my mental lore as I play. :)

FFXIV Swap: Relaxation Edition!
A swap gift playlist for @ubejamjar feat. their WoL, Ajisai Kawanami, playing to the suggested theme of Relaxation! I suppose you could call this "Lo-Fi Beats to Rotate Your WoL To"? Because that's what I sure did making this! It's got a little bit of everything I felt would resonate with your WoL, from vibes and aesthetics to shipping.
And below the cut are some brief blurbs on how and why each entry made it into the playlist itself! Thank you much for your patience, apologies for the lateness, and I hope you enjoy giving this a listen as much as I did crafting it!
The Last Stand (Masayoshi Soken): Personally, one of my favorite Endwalker tracks to vibe to. I heard it in my head as I read your ask prompt entry titled "The Perfect Date" with Ajisai and Aymeric. There's something about the acoustic that really resonates with the notion of relaxation, which is fitting considering it plays during downtime moments in Endwalker. I think it also really fits the Aesthetics section of the "5 Character Associations" tag game you did!
I Still Miss You (Bernth): A piece I found from a primarily instrumental guitarist I listen to that I checked out after noticing that you shipped Ajisai with Haurchefant, given his ultimate fate, as well as the "5 Character Associations" at play once more ("Loneliness after your lover goes home" under Emotions/Feelings) while still tying instrumentals to relaxation.
Easier (Crane Wives): Found in an ask while trawling through Ajisai's character tag, so I figured I'd add it in! You also already did the lyric analysis yourself, too, and I can see how it lines up!
Vanilla Twilight (Owl City): There's something about the lyrics of missing someone dear to you that resonates with what I can feel from Aymeric being unable to accompany Ajisai on her travels past Heavensward, save for a few instances later down the MSQ, coupled with the colors blue and purple and starry skies and winter mornings in the Associations post, while also tapping into the more lowkey vibes I'm aiming for.
Rule #1 - Magic (Fish in a Birdcage): A song I found while music-surfing, and after I gave it a listen, it reminded me of your "A Perfect Date" vignette, moreso the latter half after Ajisai and Aymeric leave the cafe they were at and retire to her abode. It's the combination of the more private quarters and the repeated lyrics:
"There is magic in this room I don't know if you can see it There is magic in this room I don't know if you can feel it It's called love Some call it love Love"
as they just spend the rest of the night in each others' presence.
6. Between Twilight (Lindsey Stirling): This was mainly on vibes from the low-key violin that comprises most of this track and resonance with...well, not just her aesthetics, but with some gposes of her general travels and less strenuous MSQ moments.
7. Foreverglow (Lindsey Stirling): It was right under the above song in the album listing, but this time it has lyrics. Still has the same vibes as the above, but the lyrics have the song hone in more on the night sky aesthetic.
8. Starlight Waltz (Ponyphonic): Another find from music-surfing. Pulling from your Wondrous Tales prompt "Lost Together" as well as that starry sky aesthetic. Well, it's a waltz, and it calls to mind the dance in the prompt. It fits both of these separately, but not necessarily together, if that makes sense? Mainly because that particular Gpose isn't shot at night.
9. Twinleaf Town (Pokemon Diamond/Peal/Platinum OST, cover by insaneintherainmusic): Ah, Twinleaf Town my beloved. Your hometown in the Gen 4 games. Comfy and cozy and safe. In Platinum particularly, the climate has turned a bit colder in Sinnoh compared to its predecessors, noted by patches of snow around the neighborhood and the characters dressed warmer. I think all that fits some of Ajisai's softer vibes, aesthetics, and Gposes.
10. Nobility Sleeps (Masayoshi Soken): And for the finishing touch, I just had to add a track from Heavensward to allude to Ajisai having love interests in both Haurchefant and Aymeric! So, I picked Nobility Sleeps, which plays at night in the Pillars in Ishgard! It's a soothing track, imo, which is a given with the time of day you can hear it in-game.

Hello everyone, happy to be here! My name is Owl, the last of the Ouroboros born under the constellation of Ophiuchus. It's been some time since I've mingled with the people of this world, but I look forward to making friends and and falling in love with humanity once more.
The streams will be a variety of things including games(FFXIV, amogus, rating dating sims), puzzles(real puzzles), and more; I can't do horror games, but if there's another fall guys night, or other fun games anyone would like to play together, I'd love to participate.
Thank you for having me here, my official debut will be October the 8th! https://owlcheszlo.carrd.co/

Some (very gay) introspection
It's so goddamn freeing to understand myself better. To know who I really am: a very gay (technically pan but that's not the point here) woman.
It puts so much into perspective...
I never liked mainstream romance stuff before. Romantic comedies were acceptable (if written well enough), but the romance part always felt a little off-putting. I'd chalked it up to just being bitter about not having any romance in my own life, but now I think it's that they were all just so damn straight. Gay romance is something I am *loving* these days! She-Ra and The Owl House both make me all kinds of giddy when I see the cute little lesbeans blushing over each other~ (And also I'm writing it a lot >_>)
I always had a preference for bi girls. I'd reasoned it as "I'd prefer a girlfriend who can appreciate pretty ladies with me," but now it makes a little more sense ^_^;
I had a few lesbian friends/acquaintances throughout my life, and I always thought they were cute... I even had crushes on most of them! And I also always ended up scolding myself for it, telling myself that I was being a creep for wanting what I couldn't have (as a "straight male"). The thing is, when straight men are creeping on lesbians, they think/say things like, "well obviously I'd be an exception" or "she just hasn't had good dick yet" or something else gross. They apparently *don't* think, "I kinda wish I was a lesbian too, 'cause then I might have a chance with her..." If only I'd know that little detail sooner <_<
I'd play as female characters in *some* games (MMOs mostly) under the excuse of "I'd rather look at a girl's ass than a guy's." But my main character generally wasn't one I sexualized at all: I'd always make a blaster-mage in whatever the smallest, cutest race was: WoW was Gnome/Goblin, Tera was Elin, Guild Wars 2 was Asura, Wildstar (oh WOW, remember Wildstar?) was Chua, FFXIV I've obviously got a Lalafell, etc. "Oh, it's for the irony, tiny package making big explosions" I would explain. And yes, to some extent it was. But being smol and cute is also something I'd more and more come to realize I craved... no, it was something I already *felt*, at least in certain headspaces. It was only in the last couple of years (thanks to an online roleplay site) that I went the rest of the way from "I wish I was a femboy" to "I wanna be a girl".
There's more I'm sure, but that's what I can conjure to mind at the moment. There's still a lot for me to figure out, too... I might never really know myself entirely. But I at least know this aspect of me, and I'm happy for that ^_^

Playing around in Affinity Photo as I am 100% bored to death and this night owl is actually thinking about going to bed because he is so tired. lol I like how this came out, though I wish I had reshade and am completely puzzled why reshade works for FFXIV for Mac and not for The Sims, which has been requested so many times for MAC players.
Maybe I'll move my sim in, as I think she is oddly really pretty for a premade face, but maybe EA finally put some new faces in the generator. But I also need some new cas items, though I am currently at 31 GB worth of content and that is doing a base-level pruning, but I can't give anything in terms of build and buy.

FFXIV will always have my love.
Ever since I first set foot on the internet some 20+ years ago, beyond all the games and random information websites, my favorite activities were chat rooms and social games. Anything that you played co-operatively or in Player versus Player were games I loved the most.
I was bullied alot as a child, and in an abusive household. So the internet was a way to learn about things, to experience things I'd never seen before. It was escapism. Even as I got older, that want for escapism remained. Games like Halo 3 and World of Warcraft were some of my favorites. Many hours were sunk into both, but WoW always held my love. Throughout all the terrible things that I dealt with in that game, I always have a soft spot for it. I can't go back, what with the shitty things Blizzard has done to it and the many negative experiences I had. I can't deny I'm sad though. My final main character, Lartou, will be some lines of code somewhere, just sitting there in a menu screen, waiting to be logged into.
...But this is about FF14, not World of Warcraft. I had tried FF14 about two separate times before it finally stuck with me. Once in Heavensward, where I got to the first dungeon and that was it, 2nd time was in Stormblood, where I got a bit through ARR before dropping again. And finally during the early-middle of Shadowbringers did it stick. My wife joined me, and together we went through every expansion, making it to Shadowbringers. Along the way we found a wonderful Free Company, The Forest Owls. A Pro PoC and LGBTQ+ safe space, ran by a trans Native American. As a LGBTQ Native American myself, I felt so comfortable. Through Shadowbringers we continued, and eventually my wife, who is more of a casual fan of games, finally lost interest and let me continue on my own. I was a bit sad, as we got married in-game and had spent alot of time together in it. But I persevered, beat ShB, and about a month before Endwalker dropped, cleared MSQ. And I was proud of myself! Even if, in reality, it hardly mattered that I beat it before the latest expansion: Content never truly goes out of style in FF14, what with level syncing. All that goes is the memories of when that content *was* the most recent content. Crafter and Gatherer jobs flitting to and fro to get the newest materials to create the latest armor, weapons, foods and potions to be bought by raiders for the latest boss content. Raiders jammed together on Tuesday mornings to fight those latest raid bosses, new strategies being posted left and right, twitch streams posted to see which raid team will clear the entire wing the quickest. The beauty of FFXIV is that this is the barest and most classic MMO taste of the game. There are so many ways to enjoy the endgame of this game, not of which is simply clearing the MSQ and taking a break. There's something wonderful about being able to say, "This is where my journey ends, until the next story update". It's so antithetical to what I think MMOs are about, but FF14 accommodates that. I have friends whos entire endgame was the Golden Saucer, basically an in-game Casino filled with mini games that award alternative currency to buy prizes. It also houses the card game, Triple Triad, Chocobo breeding and racing, and House of Vermillion, a strategy game involving the many minions you get on your travels in-game. Still other friends simply played dress-up via the glamour system. Fashion is nearly the most important aspect in FF14, to the point that entire websites and social medias were created just to showcase fantastic mixes of in-game clothing. Some even use their fashion to create elaborate role-playing scenarios. And not just fantasy role-playing, nope. Entire communities buying housing to create cafes, or bars, or nightclubs, all to mingle and role-play with other like-minded fans.
My own endgames were the classical ones: Raiding. Fighting the bosses with friends, and enjoying the story that comes with it. About a year ago to now, circumstances in my life changed and we couldn't pay for my subscription to the game. And so I said goodbye to my character for a while, and kept up with my FC via discord. up until about 3 days ago, when a login campaign dropped for 4 days to come back for free.
and so I came back, cleared all the relevant content. And here I am. At the end of Endwalker, the end of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark saga. I just finished the final Alliance raid quests, and to know that Oschon the Wanderer, my patron deity, could not bear to leave us, even to join his Ancient brethren in the lifestream, was so moving.
It makes me think about how all the content made between 1.0 and now was one giant story, and how its finally going to be moved on from. It's so emotional. I feel that same feeling I did when I first played WoW in 2007. "I wish I could experience this for the first time, again." Perhaps thats why myself and so many FF14 fans are so welcoming to new players. We all know what it was like to make our character, pick our first class, enter the gates of a new city and learn about this world. There are so many songs and sound effects that make me emotional, but so especially after finishing the last Alliance Raid, the songs in The Black Shroud will always stick with me the most. This regions was where I started with Revima, my character. This was where I got married, in the chapel in East Shroud. So much has happened, and will continue to happen.
Eventually, Revima will end up like Lartou, Selicius, and Revius, and the myriad of other MMO characters I've made over the years. Lines of code, sitting in a menu screen, waiting to be logged into.
I'll always have those fond memories of partying with friends, laughing and crying at the MSQ and all of the little side stories littered throughout the world.
In 3 days, I'll have to say goodbye again. Hopefully I can afford to play again soon, as it tears my heart up a bit to see it go.
Maybe its a bit overreactive. It is after all, a subscription based game. I pay $15 a month to enjoy it. But I can't deny that I have such an emotional connection to this game, to the people I play it with. I've made long lasting friendships thanks to this game, and even if I can't afford to play it, I'll always have the friends, and the memories.

I had an accident earlier despite following a safe path and almost walked right into a minotaur. 31-40 truly is cursed.
