p3p headers were a pain, but no experience installaing apache or maintaining server software, I had c-panel and that was my power limit.

As for my coding practices and scripts are a few years behind, back to php 4 since I last coded, and maintained all code on my old site, I rarely wrote anything that was too complicated, the most being dealing with SSL certificates, custom.

Im not sure what you mean by "up to date", do you mean the server software versions as shipped from the factory they are not up to date? My host managed all that before, they would routinely do updates to php and the mods, and it sometimes crashed the site, I would usually have to tweak the scripts effected, but as far as installing mods the host did that. I go agree the 512mb would be a better call, I think seen a promo somewhere where it comes with a free 1.2ghz processer upgrade, not positive on that but either way i think its a better call to have 512mb (or more) Thanks for your help, I think I answered all your questions but feel free if you can guide me to the best solution Im thinking it would be less then 10 users at any given time, and its very unlikely they would all be using very much of a load, as it is now the im using the private/public gateway to handles these custom pages, some for authentication and others for static help pages, and it keeps up, although they are just html and java, no php which is why I want to move them somewhere with php will give alot more power.

(The TS-112P comes with 512MB DDR3 RAM, the older ( discontinued) TS-112 only came with 256MB DDRII RAM) You can not upgrade the RAM on any of QNAP's ARM-based models like the TS-112 an TS-112P, so purchasing the right NAS model at the time of purchase is important. Your needs do indeed seem quite minimal, but your needs may change over time, so I urge you to check out what these devices are capable of, before purchasing such a low-end model.

Have you reviewed the QNAP Turbo NAS User Manual and QNAP App Center to see everything these devices are capable of? I outgrew my 1-Bay NAS in a matter of weeks once I became familiar with it, so I eventually sold it to a friend, and purchased a 4-Bay model instead. How many concurrent users do you expect your Web Server to support? I purchased my first NAS to be a LAMP Server too, but soon found myself using about 85% of it's capabilities. A TS-112 will do this, but I would urge you to purchase a NAS with more RAM, and preferably at least 2 Bays, so that you can protect your data and Apache/PHP configuration by RAID protection. The versions provided are not up to date, so depending on your Website code, this could become a challenge for you. Will a TS112 do it? All presently available QNAP NAS devices support Apache, MySQL and PHP. My biggest question is, does all of the Qnap NAS' ( such as the entry level TS112 ) have the WebServer features? will they all run SQL, PHP? In reality that's all I need of it, is just a few php scripts such as contact us and help pages in php, and everything else across the network can be handled by other devices, so it can be basically dedicated to light traffic and serve only a few PHP scripts, and maintain the SQL databases. We report on feedback from storyboard artists, industry professionals and the director of a live action, feature film on which Storeoboard was deployed. We present our design guidelines and implementation of a tool combining stereo-sketching, depth manipulations and storyboard features into a coherent and novel workflow. Storeoboard is the design outcome of interviews and field work with directors, stereographers, and storyboard artists. Storeoboard is the first of its kind, allowing filmmakers to explore, experiment and conceptualize ideas in stereo early in the film pipeline, develop new stereo-cinematic constructs and foresee potential difficulties. Concepts like plane separation, parallax position, and depth budgets are missing from early planning due to the 2D nature of existing storyboards. The resurgence of stereoscopic media has motivated filmmakers to evolve a new stereo-cinematic vocabulary, as many principles for stereo 3D film are unique. We present Storeoboard, a system for stereo-cinematic conceptualization, via storyboard sketching directly in stereo. Game creation became a jigsaw puzzle, on which each piece (contribution) allowed people to create and play according to their abilities and skills. Hence, with the framework, opportunities were provided to enable people with different interaction needs to contribute, create, and play. By following the collaborative work model, they enabled people with different interaction needs than their own to play their games. With the framework, participants were able to create their own games despite their different interaction needs (including low literacy, no previous contact with computers, emotional disabilities). The framework was evaluated over ten meetings spanning four months by people with alcohol and drug addiction from a public healthcare service. Abilities were focused to provide opportunities for contributions based on skills, interests, and knowledge of people. To verify the hypothesis, the architecture, the collaborative work model, and a game creation platform (Lepi) were designed to support game creation and play activities.

The hypothesis is that if end-users used creation tools suitable to their interaction needs and followed a collaborative work model to iteratively improve accessibility features to be inserted into a software architecture able to modify human-computer interaction at use-time, then they would be able to create games satisfying heterogeneous interaction needs of possible players. In this paper, our efforts toward a framework for inclusive creation of inclusive games are discussed. One strategy toward universalizing play is enabling more people to develop their own games. Finally, we performed a comparison of machine learning algorithms' performance on our storyboard data. We conducted two exploratory studies that grounded the prototype design, and present the results of a proof-of-concept workshop with game developers. We designed and developed a novel authoring technique for creating behaviors (painting storyboards) and a novel algorithm based on machine-learning, that analyzes a storyboard to create a behavior that works beyond situations provided in the input storyboard. We present PaintBoard, a system that enables users to prototype and test discrete, real-time, interactive movements in a 2D grid environment simply by digitally painting a storyboard. This work addresses authoring the interactive aspect of these characters' behaviors - how characters act automatically in response to a dynamic user-controlled character.

I need some suggestions on how can I modify my MouseListener methods so that I can draw the curved lines on the screen properly.Ĭhanges to my source code are welcome: import creation of interactive computer-controlled characters in interactive media is a challenging and multi-faceted task requiring the skills and effort of professionals from many fields. I think this problem is related to MouseListener interfaces. If I tried to copy similar code that draws shapes for drawing curved lines, I would get straight lines instead of the curved lines. I ran to a problem The result I got was little dots on the screen. I modified shape drawing code to draw curved lines. When I want to draw shapes, the shapes I want to draw are stored in the LinkedList which will be called to draw shapes on the screen When I applied this LinkedList concept to draw curved lines on the screen. I am new to Java, as for my class's final project, I am developing a paint application that enables users to draw rich curved lines and common geometric shapes like rectangle and oval, also users can undo their shape drawing.
