I loved this part of the fic. I thought that Thomas's interactions with Janus were the best (and the fic has a whole lotta good!)

I was reading a Sander sides fanfic called Self-Love and Janus and Thomas have an exchange of dialouge that made me start to think.

Janus asks for why he’s the snake if Thomas no longer sees him as ONLY the liar anymore.

Thomas realizes something and said “The snake gave knowledge. And paid for eves actions “

Now like Thomas I was raised catholic. And I’ve heard the story of the fall over and over and the main takeaway is Adam and Eve disobey god because of the snakes temptation and thrown out of paradise.

But until I read this fanfic I never realized the other side.

the snake gave knowledge. Which means Adam and Eve did disobey god but they gained knowledge of good and evil.

So in a way Humanity couldnt have advanced the way it had without that knowledge.
