even though i think paraphore NEEDS the way it's presented and executed (extreme furry porn) i wish there was something with similar themes that was a little more accessible. i *do* still think paraphore in its original form should exist this isn't me saying i wish it was a normie game. i just know a lot of people who would really benefit from its message that cannot abide by the content.

I don't think the beginning to interphore makes much sense because yes. Rebecca does care enough about Mynt to sacrifice her life for her. But Mynt kinda just. Was using Rebecca as a means to an (ultimately doomed) end

At least by some interpretations, if one believes what Som says at the end of Paraphore. Like she might continue using Rebecca if she had a goal, but just keeping her around in case she develops one doesn't make a ton of sense. I mean maybe if the goal is to develop genuine connections now that the admin password is no longer a concern? But even then, it need not be Rececca it could be literally anyone

Fun paraphore facts! (Warning: Spoilers below read more)

-Rebeca's name is a reference to the character of the same name in Gabriel Marquez's 100 Years of Solitude.

-Paraphore was originally supposed to be a sort of "dead MMO" type game, which can still be seen in its final release.

-Rebeca is anywhere from 70 to 80 years old, however, going off of the in-game timeline, she's actually at conservative estimates some 71 years old.

-Paraphore is technically legal under U.S. obscenity laws due to its political commentary. However, in the United Kingdom, paraphore could be considered illegal due its portrayals or watersports and spanking (this fact is from @wingwisher).

-Originally, as revealed in the missing journal pages, Cynnamon was to be confronted by Wendy about her roleplay logs with a mysterious online roleplayer. However, this was thought to have created too much confusion, so it was later retconned to Cynnamon just happening upon an erogame on Wendy's PC.

-The term "Galaxy Wizard" refers to an individual who interacts with lowers layers without going through the interphore or red ponds.

I highly recommend Paraphore to anyone who can stomach the contents. Pay attention to the content warnings it's not fucking around with them. Depending on the country you are in it ranges from "probably not legally porn" to "literally illegal to view" so be careful

whenever someone is like "[X] is so good but you can't just recommend it casually bc it has every trigger warning under the sun" that in itself is a recommendation. all the truly good shit needs a minimum of 5 disclaimers or it can't possibly reach the level of visceral catharsis necessary to be classified as a masterpiece. the funnier variant of this is when you come across a callout post for a piece of media that ends up reading like a recommendation instead
