"Pendulum Effect: Once per turn, at the start of the Damage Step, if a monster battles a monster: You can return this card to the hand, and if you do, banish 1 Spell from your Deck. For that battle, your monster cannot be destroyed, also the battle damage you take is halved.

Monster Effect: When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can add 1 'Supreme King Dragon' monster, 'Supreme King Gate' monster, or 'Soul of the Supreme King' from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, during the Standby Phase: Activate this effect; each player can banish 1 Spell from their Deck. Once per turn, when a monster declares an attack: Activate this effect; the attacked player can apply the following effect.

Add 1 of your banished Spells to your hand, then discard it, and if you do, negate that attack."

Performapal Duelist Extraordinaire

I’ve reviewed Yuma’s card before, and this time we have Yuya! And he’s a completely useable, legal card! I’ll admit, I don’t know much about Yuya or ARC-V, but I do like that this is apparently a redraw of the final opening for his series. I kinda like the opening version a bit more, but that’s just because the giant smiley face in the ferris wheel is super adorable. However, who is Yuya without his Performapals??? No one, that’s who, so of course you gotta show off a bunch of them in the card that is literally him. (This even showcases more of them than the scene this is based on). I’m not gonna list them all, but I recognize Bowhopper, Hip Hippo, Elephammer, and Whip Snake. All in all, a fantastic card that I think showcases Yuya’s whole deal excellently, even if you aren’t very familiar with him.

ARC-V Month Day 3: Duetto of Duelist and Spirit

The primary principle of Entertainment Dueling is to become one with your cards, to put on the best show ever in tandem with the monsters in your Deck. Show us your favorite cards today, and the story behind your partners of choice!

I think we all know exactly what my favorite card is at this point.

List of Reasons to Like Performapal Duelist Extraordinaire:

1- He's literally Sakaki Yuuya but a card.

Before we dive into Episode 125, we need to talk about OP6, the final opening of ARC-V.

Opening begins with Yuboys, with Yuri, and Yuya standing in opposition to each other, the other two, initially featured, disappear before this shot. Edit: I didn't watch it carefully, it is Yuto and Yuya standing opposition to each other, and Yuri and Yugo are in opposite to each other. The camera's focus is on Yuto, and Yuya.

Then we shift to stylized shots of Yuboys with their official romanizations, evoking the ED5 for 5D's.

Yuri's shot ends with his berserk eyes, and dark glow.

We shift to Leo with En Cards, and Z-ARC's dragon form in the background with yellow eyes (his dragon form actually as red eyes, as we will discuss later, this is a reference to Yuya's Z-ARC form).

We see Yuya's Pendulum with Z-ARC, and Ray silhouettes. They crash together.

We shift to Bracelet Girls, Serena, and Yuzu (with Asuka's old outfit), and Rin, and Ruri (with resistance outfit). There isn't much of a lore behind these pairs, but they are shown with elements.

Reira, and Reiji shot is with this line:

"Special and original miracles will awaken"

Which alludes to the Ray-Reira business, and the final Duel to make Reira smile I guess.

We see the shot of the four Lancers, minus Tsukikage, since he won't participate in the final duel against Z-ARC (hey, Duel Links/OCG, fix this sh** for the Z-ARC third round).

We see a shot of Yuya running, and Yuzu jumping in converging directions, alluding to the end hand shake.

The arcs of the Pendulums merge to a bunch smiles from Smile cards.

We see Yuya egaoing on a building, with Raging Dragon behind him. We focus on the orange gem on Raging Dragon's head. We see Raging Dragon shining, in a pose that references Unit 01 at the End of Evangelion (thanks).

We see Yusho, and Sky Magician. Sky Magician turns into bunch of pigeons.

We get the pan shot of all other major voiced characters egaoing at various levels, though I can't see Shinji.

The final shots are Yuya with bunch of light signs. The semi-final will become the basis of Performapal Duelist Extraordinaire (Greatest Duelist in Japanese), Yuya's Duel Monster counterpart. The final shot is Yuya doing a pointing pose, with light sign saying ENJOY IT NOW. I would trust this show more if it was Chojiro doing.

July 1st, 2023 OCG banlist is revealed.

**Cyber-Stein is re-banned.

**Smoke Grenade of the Thief is banned in OCG as well.

**Performapal Monkeyboard, and M-X-Saber Invoker are moved down from Forbidden to Limited.

**Armageddon Knight, and Prank-Kids Meow-Meow-Mu have moved down from Limited to Semi-Limited.

**Bunch of Semi-Limited cards moved down to Unlimited. Some of these, like Tellarknight Ptolemaeus, got recent reprints.

It seems we are going to get some sort of DARK Warrior support, given The Immortal Bushi reprint in Tournament Pack 2023 Vol.3, and Armageddon Knight’s move down the list.

Since Prank-Kids Token was in Token Pack Vol.5, I guess we are going to get new support. Probably just a Token generator Spell, though.

Monkeyboard was expected to move down the list, since it appeared in Performapal Duelist Extraordinaire’s artwork. M-X-Saber Invoker is interesting, likely suggesting new Saber support, but I don’t know if it will be Duel Terminal storyline, or Yaiba related. If there is no new Saber support in Age of Overlord, expect Yuya, and Yaiba for the next main set.
