For the first time, Brits can relish the option of 568ml wine servings, joining the already available 200ml and 500ml sizes. This groundbreaking move by the Department for Business and Trade brings not just variety but a fresh vibe to supermarkets, pubs, clubs, and restaurants across the country.   Brexit's Cheers: Innovating the UK Wine Market Thanks to the newfound freedoms post-Brexit, under the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023, British wine lovers and producers are witnessing a regulatory transformation. The government's decision to introduce these sizes is a direct result of its engagement with the industry, aiming to enhance business agility and consumer choice.  

Vineyards Flourish: A Boost for British Wine Producers

This change is a boon for the approximately 900 vineyards in the UK, potentially uplifting an industry that produces around 12.2 million bottles yearly. Despite extensive consultations, no new legislation on measurement units will be introduced. Instead, the focus is on promoting awareness of imperial measurements alongside existing metric systems.
