sighs. sorry if any of this has been done before but im literally going to school for botany and im a literature analysis nerd so. here we go

I personally find it really fascinating Ivory is mistaken as "Ivy" and she has to redirect people away from that. Aside from being an interesting way to introduce a character, there's symbolism potential here. Take it with a grain of salt because obviously, it's a Jonathan Sims situation, it's the creator's name. However. Ivy is a plant, a living organism, and that automatically means a lot more considering this is The Plant Themed Horror Minecraft. Ivory, meanwhile, is . . . dead. It's dead biotic material from an animal. It's prized for its rarity, making it a symbol of wealth if you possess it. Interesting for a servant

Ivy on the other hand is common and well known, fairly easy to obtain. This basically just says that Ivory is far more than meets the eye to the other serving staff

(it's also the name for all those super fancy colleges. You know the ones. Minutes later Clownpierce is informed that Ivory might be "stunted"—she is not an ivy.)

Also I just think it's funny that the head butler assumes she has a plant name because he's so used to the Hemlockes lol

Speaking of hemlock I'm sure this has already been noticed but symptoms of hemlock poisoning include vomiting and restlessness. Pyro didn't seem unsettled by it at all, however. All he does is ask for coffee. A common "settle your stomach and wake up" remedy, but also really great at erasing scents. Wonder if they're being poisoned by someone else or doing it on purpose

White pines being a symbol of peace tho is insane because god it is not peaceful here

hemlock is the name of an evergreen tree as well, named after the poisonous plant. Notable other evergreens mentioned include ivy and white pines.

the symbolism of evergreens is kinda in the name but yeah, longevity and resilience are kinda the keystones here. a little ironic but hey

forgot to post here. doing a faily ksmp art challenge (i just draw a chr everyday until i draw them all) heres day 1-7

This is literally just a hunch I have that has no evidence for. I think that the forest is going to represent trauma, specifically Ivory’s and Pyro’s. Ivory clearly has something in her past that has deeply beat submission into her, and from Pyro’s nightmares, vomiting (which I actually think is from emotional stress rather than sickness), and his long staring into the forest, something is clearly deeply troubling him as well. The forest is menacing, large and looming at the periphery at all times. It’s almost alluring, much like how trauma can linger in the back of your mind, asking you to stare into its vastness and get lost in the memories. Idk, maybe I’m just looking into smth that is going to have a much more literal meaning as the series goes on.

There’s definitely been *something* going on in the forest. We get repeated shots of it, and it is only ever welcoming and sunny once.

And that scene is a minute or two prior to Mysti’s imminent death.

Hi everyone another announcement / Kaboodle SMP Rewrite announcement

I'm doing a Kaboodle smp REWRITE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!.... so for those who don't know what "Kaboodle SMP" is it's a lore smp server created by the youtuber "JustKaboodle" in I believe 2022.

The SMP story is basically this or at least what your getting into when you start the watching the series. it starts out establishing 3 dimensions The Overworld, The Nether and The End, and it starts out with 3 characters Kaboodle aka Kab who is from the overworld, Maddy who is from The End and Rae who is from The Nether. these three meet at the end stronghold and well... I won't spoil much but it gets cooler later on.

now this rewrite is made out of love for the original story and characters and I want to take my own shot at making a Rewrite of KSMP. now my version will also include new characters which some of them I'm really excited about.

also in this rewrite things won't be 100% accurate to the source material at times and will diverge from the original story in places. like certain characters motivations and arcs will get changed and adjusted in places whether in small or major ways. this also applies to the overall story as well despite these things however I will respect and love the source material so don't worry. also I'm gonna add some of my own ideas for the overall story as well so stay tuned.

(also I will be making side fic's for the rewrite as well, these fic's at least most of them are canon to the rewrite version, but there are times where I will make fic's that are not canon but are in fact using he rewrite as a base, also I will make Fic's for based off of the original story don't worry)

EDIT: just got an interesting idea what if I include other dimension's in this Rewrite. specifically the Aether and Twilight dimensions, but I'm am interested in other dimensions as well but i do want to see what others think of this idea so feel free to ask away and let my know your thoughts!

Alright just finished watching whitepine and here are some of my initial thoughts (spoilers under the cut):

Firstly, I absolutely love the main cast so far and I think all of their introductory scenes were done incredibly well and set them up as characters very nicely. Also Pyro's introduction being him vomiting after waking up and then staring into the forest was kinda chilling and gives us some interest in his character (<-eg. why was he throwing up?).

I also absolutely love the character dynamics so far, especially between Serapter and Ivory (bro istg if sth bad happens to either one of them or between them I will not be okay). Also liked the almost friendly dynamic between Mysty and Pyro but well that was short lived (<-and might be part of Pyro's story going forward who knows). Also love Clown being. Well just Clown tbh. He is perfect for his role I feel.

Ivory's character and characterisation was also amazing and I like having a protagonist who is on the quieter (and really also the more mysterious) side. Like there isnt muh exposition in her dialogue and all we really know about her, as our protagonist, is that she plays the piano, seems to have no personal possessions besides the clothes she was given otw to whitepine, is a hard worker and that something *might* have happened in her past that "stunted" and might even still be haunting her.

I also love how eerie every single shot we get of the forest or even just in relation of the forest is. Like Pyro staring out the window into the forest in the morning, the wide shots of the forest in the bg during Ivory's garden stroll (which in and of itself was absolutely chilling for some reason) and then obviously there are all the times Ivory keeps looking at the forest as if something were out there that neither the others (maybe with the exception of Pyro but that is a HUGE maybe) nor the audience is aware of yet. Talking about Eerie, Ivory playing the Piano being cut off literally DURING the first chord is not only insanely chilling to me but also feels like some form of foreshadowing for something that is yet to happen.

Then there is obviously the murder, which I personally find interesting for the reasons that those wounds did NOT look like they came from a weapon they were much too organic (Idk if that is the right word tho) imo. Also the shots of them running up to the crime scene was absolutely perfect.

That is all I have to say for now maybe there will be more soon Idk I might ramble
