◦ typically written as 24-ish years old (however, i am open to timeskips forward and back)

◦ physical description: quinn is roughly 6'0 with a very toned form she works hard to maintain. she has layered messy/scruffy brown hair to her mid-neck, green eyes, light freckles, and is covered in scars of varying sizes and severity. she wouldn’t be caught dead in a dress and prefers comfortable, moveable clothes she can run and be physical in. she always has a blade or two (or three) at her hip–you can never be too careful!

◦ art reference can be found HERE. this is a commission by jelart on bluesky of quinn! her outfit is more from when she was leaning towards modern/futuristic, but i’ve had her repurposed! :3c her main design language still rings true

◦ she turned to thieving at a young age to support herself, and it continues to get her into trouble. this has her going from place to place, and getting into plenty of scuffles. watch your coin purses

◦ her home clan/area is unknown. she is an orphan who never met her parents or any family. a runaway from her first orphanage/foster home at a young age, she’s been roaming from place to place for as long as she can remember. so far, nowhere has worked out for long, and much of that is her own fault

◦ while her exterior may seem cool, aloof and sarcastic at most times, an admittedly vulnerable heart of pure gold is right under the surface. the true her is kind and gentle, compassionate and curious, as well as wild and deeply protective. she is a bright soul who will never let down those she loves and will always fight for what is right… but also is a goofball always handy with a well-timed joke. it doesn’t take much to let her shine

◦ she is a ladies woman. quinn is smooth-talking, suave, and a big show-off. she can’t help flexing her muscles and showing off her physical prowess for the ladies! she’s extremely flirty and well-versed in intimacy, loving and leaving many women just as quickly. however, much of this is to distract her own self from lingering pain. she tragically lost her first love in her early 20’s, and this has left a deep unhealing scar on her heart. she roams the countryside sweet-talking ladies, has some fun for a bit, then goes on her way. sure, she's been slapped plenty of times and chased through town squares, but such is the life of a womanizer

◦ deep down, she aches for connection, both platonic and romantic. she is scared of getting too close to others due to the loss she suffered, as well as her general wariness in most people (i’m sure some of you out there can break that shell! wink) as for more intimate connections, she is a gentle romantic at heart, and doesn’t know how to act at first when her heart is genuinely sent fluttering

◦ never was there one more skilled with a blade, ready to defend those she holds dear. her weapon of choice is her broadsword, with her bow being second, then her extensive collection of knives and daggers. she is an adept hunter, but would never purposefully harm any creature without deeming it necessary for survival

◦ she doesn't believe in magic. life has been hard to quinn, so why should she believe in something from fairy tales? she is a realist who needs some serious convincing. that may be easier for some rather than others

◦ her best friend is her horse, errol. a big lumbering draft horse, he is her closest companion and rarely ever leaves quinn's side. they often work as a thieving team, with one distracting folks and the other making off with goods. while quinn may try to remain suave and stoic, errol is nearly always goofy and wants attention from everyone

◦ never be afraid to ask any questions about her!! :) i would adore answering any to help flesh her out!

roleplaying / guidelines

◦ i’m selective as in i want to write with those i feel i would mesh well with in style and chemistry ◦ i love crossovers! this is roleplaying, after all. i'm so game to have quinn in different timelines/universes meeting canon characters/oc's. brave is a smaller sort of historical fantasy, and i'm happy to expand beyond it. au's are my lifeblood, lets have 50 of them

◦ i will typically follow/follow back if i can see interactions between our muses happening. if your muse is from a fandom(s) i don’t know or don’t vibe with at all (most anime, marvel/dc, star wars, hp, v.zziepop stuff), i will not follow back. if your blog is for an oc(s), i need there to be enough info/personality to go off of. i also typically won’t follow back hub blogs, blogs with dozens of muses, or blogs with TONS of long ooc posts. i am just picky in that regard and it’s simply personal preference. me not following back is not a reflection of your writing, i just need to limit myself

◦ i am mutuals only right now, but i promise i’m not scary! i’m actually pretty shy. if i follow you, that means i would love to interact!

◦ quinn is a lesbian. i’m totally game for shipping her with canon characters and ocs. while @/wispfated’s merida is my main ship and has formed a lot of quinn as a character, i’m multiship and all ships take place in different universes (unless we wanna get silly, but no cheating on merida). of course we are transfem friendly. she is super into femmes, in particular. if you see a potential spark, chances are i'd love to ship. i typically like plotting/talking a bit beforehand so we can get to know a possible ship! give me every ship. crackships, hateships, exes, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends with benefits, ALL OF IT. all muses MUST be adults or aged up if they are canonically underage

◦ note that she may flirt with your female muse right off the bat with our interactions because that’s just how she is! this isn’t me trying to force a ship, she’s just flirtatious by nature and i enjoy writing it. you can put her in her place HEHE. please let me know beforehand if you don’t want her to flirt with your muse… or if they’d like it LOL. quinn could always use more platonic friends!!!

◦ i'm med/low activity at the moment but will be based on my interest in certain going’s ons, and my availability/inspiration. i may reply fast sometimes if i'm feeling inspired but don’t feel pressured to reply quickly

◦ i am typically lit to semi lit. i personally like writing descriptive replies, and thrive off multiple paragraphs and getting lost in details. if we are doing actual threads, i ask for more than just one liners. unless it’s just crack/silliness or short interactions, of course. you don’t need to write a book, i simply just want my energy returned and one liners on threads kill my inspiration. as i say, sometimes certain threads/asks capture my inspo and i write a lot, but you do not have to match of course!!

5. Gay - He is homosexual. That’s all. adjdkdkd but really, I love how much he loves men and also how much he loves me. I love hard he loves and how he much effort he puts into relationships with people he cares about.

4. Healthy Masculinity - He has a lot of masculine traits, not because he feels the need to but just because he wants to. He feels comfortable in his own skin, dressing and acting the way he wants without ever putting down femininity, and is able to also engage in stereotypically feminine activities without feeling like his identity is threatened. His masculinity is kind, protective, and strong. He always makes me feel safe.

3. Joy - Quinn can make anything fun and funny. I, and many other people, love being around him because he always has something to say and the way he says it is always entertaining, even when he’s complaining. He tries to focus most of his thoughts on the things that put him in a good mood, which helps me focus on those things too.

2. Confidence - Even when he’s unsure of himself, he puts himself out there and pretends to know exactly what he’s doing. He shows people who he is, genuinely and honestly. And it pays off, because people really like who he is!! I’ve become a lot better at acting confident and believing in myself through watching him.

1. Effort - He tries really hard in all parts of his life. He does great in school and is always trying to improve at his hobbies (sometimes to the point he forgets that they’re meant to be fun). But the reason this is the top of the list is that Quinn, more than anyone I’ve ever met, has actively worked to listen to me, understand me, and take care of me in a way that will make me feel good. He didn’t know those things intuitively, but instead took the time to figure them out. This means more to me than I can say.

Idea that's been bouncing around in my head for a while for a fic I may write some day

potential tw for accidental self-harm and what could arguably be considered suicidal thoughts if you know the context, your mileage may vary

Tim gets fear toxin'd as a civilian and becomes a paranoid mess, but he also can't think clearly or communicate what he's afraid of. He breaks into Jason's apartment and gives no explanation, just immediately starts triple checking the security, and he won't look away from the doors to talk to Jason, though he does try to respond.

He keeps repeating that he needs to give Jason something, that Jason needs something that Tim doesn't have, that Jason's the only one who doesn't have one. Tim can't figure out what it is that he needs to give him, just that it's important and the rest of the family has one. Jason tries to give him an antidote but it isn't taking and they realize they have no choice but to ride it out.

Tim hides in the bathtub with Jason guarding the door so he feels safer, but Tim keeps panicking more when he sees Jason's guns so Jason is only armed with knives. Realizing he isn't equipped to handle this and knowing that Bruce would make Tim feel safer than anyone, Jason reluctantly calls him in for backup.

Except Bruce comes in wearing his full costume and the second he sets eyes on him, Tim starts screaming and clawing at his throat until Bruce pulls the cowl down. Tim sobs and clings to Bruce, apologizing over and over until he starts to lose his voice and again repeating that 'Jason doesn't have one'.

It takes Tim a while to piece together his memories once he's back to himself. It isn't until days later when Tim's reflection over the glass of the bat suit makes him shudder unexpectedly that the pieces slot into place.

Tim adds a goodbye letter addressed to Jason to the contingency file (a physical paper file in a locked box just in case Barbara decides to snoop) he keeps just in case the evil future version of himself ever shows his face again.

In the report uploaded to the batcomputer of what happened that night, Tim claims he saw Captain Boomerang.

Neither Jason nor Bruce call out the obvious lie.
