What's New in this Release?

Aspose development team is happy to announce the monthly release of Aspose.Words for Java 18.12. In old versions of Aspose.Words, handling of ‘hide mark element’ in a table cell for rendering document to fixed page format is according to MS Word 2013 behavior. Starting from Aspose.Words 18.12, it has changed this behavior and mimic MS Word 2016 behavior. In some situations, for “continuous” and “new column” section breaks, the behavior of MS Word 2016 is different from MS Word 2013 or an earlier version when document is converted to fixed file formats e.g. PDF, XPS. We have changed the behavior of Aspose.Words and now it mimics MS Word 2016. The behavior has changed for computing page numbers and for providing an empty facing page when adjacent pages have the same oddity.  This release has added new property in MetafileRenderingOptions class to control the scaling of fonts in WMF meta-file according to meta-file size on the page when rendering document to fixed file format. This property is used only when meta-file is rendered as vector graphics. By default, Aspose.Words uses font family names from source document and writes to HTML. Starting from Aspose.Words 18.12, you can resolve and substitute fonts according to FontSettings. Aspose team has added new property to achieve this.  Obsolete Property AllowTrailingWhitespaceForListItems was removed from LoadOptions Class. Developers can insert contents of outer documents to their reports dynamically using LINQ Reporting. Starting from Aspose.Words for Java 18.8, developers can enable doc tag to check the template syntax and populate with data using LINQ Reporting. By default, a document being inserted is not checked against template syntax and is not populated with data. It has added support to create snip corner rectangles in this version. This release has added HtmlSaveOptions.ExportCidUrlsForMhtmlResources property. Users  can use this property to save the resources of MHTML document using the “Content-Id” URL Scheme. It has also added new property ShowComments in LayoutOptions class. This property is used to show or hide comments in fixed file formats e.g. PDF, XPS. By default, the comments are visible.  A new property ShowInBalloons has been added to RevisionOptions class. This property is used to show revisions in the balloons. By default, the revisions in balloons are not shown.  Previously, Aspose.Words used to save “@font-face” rules of HtmlFixed documents into a separate file “fontFaces.css” while other CSS declarations were written to “styles.css”. We have changed this behavior and now Aspose.Words saves all CSS rules and declarations into the same file “styles.css”. In case the old behavior is required for compatibility with legacy code, it can be restored by using the new public property HtmlFixedSaveOptions.SaveFontFaceCssSeparately. It has added new property RecognizeUtf8Text in RtfLoadOptions class. This property allows to detect UTF-8 encoded characters and preserve them during import. Obsolete value NumInDash was removed from NumberStyle enum. Please, use NumberStyle.NumberInDash value instead. Obsolete method ToTxt() was removed from Node class. Please, use ToString(SaveFormat.Text) instead. The obsolete property Location has been removed from the FootnoteOptions and EndnoteOptions classes. Please use the Position property. What's New in this Release?

Aspose team is happy to share the announcement of Aspose.Slides for .NET 17.10.0. Aspose team has added some new features in API along with resolution of outstanding issues. This release introduces new features, such as Support for adding EMZ image to Images collection and Managing Super Script and Sub Script Text. Overview: Aspose.Slides for .NET

Aspose.Slides is a .NET component to read, write and modify a PowerPoint document without using MS PowerPoint. PowerPoint versions from 97-2007 and all three PowerPoint formats: PPT, POT, PPS are also supported. Now users can create, access, copy, clone, edit and delete slides in their presentations. Other features include saving PowerPoint slides into PDF, adding & modifying audio & video frames, using shapes like rectangles or ellipses and saving presentations in SVG format, streams or images.
