A Right Angle Gearbox is used to transfer Rotary Motion at 90ᵒ. A Hollow Shaft End is provided to this type of Right-Angle Reducer where the rotary motion is transmitted to the shaft. The Shaft will directly be mounted on Hollow End and hence will receive the Rotary Motion.

SMD Right Angle Gearbox (SS Series) is used to transmit rotary motion in 90 degrees as if desired direction. This series comes with Planetary Reducer attached which has total reduction ratio ranging from 1:4 to 1:200 with a total torque capacity. These models available for Gearboxes ranges from  SS42, SS70, SS90, SS120, SS150 and SS180 and are customizable with Shaft or Flange End according to the Application.

SMD Gearbox has developed a customized solution for Right Angle Gearbox as per requirement of customer. In this solution SMD has used 2 Right Angle Gearbox and 1 Planetary Gearbox. Generally Right Angle Gearbox is used to give perpendicular output but here there is parallel Output to Input. This Solution is developed because of space constraint and need for more reduction from the client. Right Angle Reducer provides reduction ratio upto 200 but here 2 Right Angle Gearbox are used hence the Reduction Ratio for these solution is 1:400.
