junjin time travel au pt.1

this has been giving me severe brainworms every since i watched scarlet heart: ryeo. enjoy!

junjin are agents from rival time travel agencies say... 100 years from now? that doesn't really matter. they are sent to the same time in the joseon era to alter history. sujin's goal: to kill a tyrannical king. seojun's goal: to ensure that king remains in power so that his successor does not make changes to the law that have some historical consequence.

seojun is a general in the palace itself, he trains the palace guards and is close to king; the identity he implanted himself in was that of the crown prince's brother-in-law. sujin is a noble lady sent to hanyang from her clan in hopes of becoming one of the crown prince's wives. all she really needs is one audience with the king to finish her work of. she also has relations in the palace, i'm not sure but maybe a cousin or something

POINT IS. one day sujin's assisting her cousin (some prince's concubine) in the palace, gets lost, and lands up at the archery ground. one of the princesses is practicing archery there, and sujin very casually comments about her stance.

obviously she causes a scene

so now sujin ends up in competition with a princess and she's wielding a bow and she hasn't done this in very long but she's still somewhat competent. she manages to beat the princess, which is. well. that lands her in trouble. but anyway the princess pulls some cunning shit and sujin ends up slightly injured. so she curses.

seojun, who was casually patrolling, hears a solitary "FUCK" yelled from somewhere close, very much in english, and feels his blood run cold. he goes to investigate.

so he finds sujin and her bleeding hand and the princess looking smug and he can kind of piece what happened together. sujin does not stop cursing under her breath, switching up her languages (because of course she's multilingual), and seojun recognises that no one in this time nor setting should know how to say bitch in a romance language.

so he greets the princess respectfully, deduces this anomaly as a "lady kang" by her haughty introduction, and offers his immeasurable kindness in escorting the lady kang, who seems to have suffered an accidental injury, to the royal infirmary. it makes sujin narrow her eyes in suspicion.

the princess, however, delighted to have an excuse to rid this woman of her sight, permits the general's great act of kindness, and happily sends sujin on her way, urging her to be more careful of bows in the future.

seojun escorts her out of the archery ground, and in a conspiring whisper, leans close and says to her, "you curse well."

"thank you, i learnt from the best," sujin has already replied, before she realises the general spoke to her in english and she replied back, unthinkingly.

"han seojun," the man introduces, "born in 2098. it is good to make your acquaintance..."

"kang sujin," sujin says, having no way of knowing whether this man is lying to her or not but letting her gut lead the way. "born in 2098. it is good to make you acquaintance."

YG Entertainment has released 2 statements regarding the contracts of BLACKPINK as a group, and of the individual members.

The five members of BLACKPINK - Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, Rosé and Chaein - will remain together in the group under YG. However, none of the five members have renewed their individual contracts. And are therefore free to continue their solo activities as they wish.

Previously, Jennie announced the start of her own label OA (ODDATELIER), while the remaining members have yet to reveal more specific plans for the future. Industry insiders believe Lisa is discussing a contract with an oversea agency, while Jisoo is seeking oppurtunities to explore her acting career further.

Summary : Sujin's preparing for her first solo stage with 'lucid' for Born Pink

Getting to perform her own song instead of doing a cover was getting Sujin rather ecstatic.

She made the last finishing touches to her dress as she heard Lisa's solo coming to an end. 

Jisoo and her had been the last to get their solo's and they supported each other throughout getting their own. They joked about how close their solo's were with release, but neither minded.

She felt so far away- yet so present. Rosé would laugh at her wording, to which she'd of course respond as long as it made sense to her it was quite fine.

But she wasn't that far away though, she prided herself on being able to know when someone was watching her despite everything. 

(Lisa would tell you about all the times she felt watched but wasn't being watched at all, or the exact opposite. Sujin would tell you she was lying)

Sujin put in the last detail before she stilled.

"If i asked you to marry me, would you say yes?" 

Sujin raised a brow and turned around. 

"Are you proposing?" She joked.

"Not yet. You look hot and i was just thinking."

"Well i wouldn't say no."

"That's good.." 

The two stayed in silence for a moment.

"I'm excited to see you perform." 

Sujin smiled, stepping forward and wrapping her arms around her lover's neck.

"I'm glad to hear, i'm excited to perform." 

Her lover leaned forward, giving her a soft kiss. Smirking as her lipstick smudged ever slightly.

"You should keep that, it really adds to the outfit." 

Sujin was ready to protest, but laughed and shook her head. "Then i won't fix it."

Her lover hummed. "I'll see you backstage~" 

Sujin smiled, quickly checking her outfit again before rushing out the door.

"See you backstage, Jennie!"

While we all anxiously await the news regarding the contract renewal of the BLACKPINK girls. The members themselves are out making moves.

The member Chaein recently posted on instagram pictures of glittery pink fabric with the fitting caption 'Pink'. Fans quickly noticed the striking resemblance the fabrics and styles had with the costume for Katherine Howard used in the British musical SIX.

The musical itself recently made it's debut in South-Korea in march, The UK tour cast giving the audience a beautiful performance until the Korean cast took over.

Many quickly added to the claims, saying that Chaein had gone to see a performance from the West End cast of the show when the BLACKPINK girls made their stop in London for their 'Born Pink' tour.

Others also added that in the most recent performance of 'Can We Talk Again', Chaein took to the stage with part of her hair dyed a vibrant pink, which is also used in the Katherine Howard costume, as it includes a high ponytail with most of the hair dyed hot pink.

Many say the action is bold, taking into consideration her rumored role and the recent scandals the five members were in during the 'Born Pink' tour and the recent Crazy Horse performance that Lisa took part in.

Others support the decision, saying that while it may be a rather bold move- they're excited to see Chaein's interpretation of the song 'All You Wanna Do'.

Many blinks are also questioning whether Chaein will perform with the Korean cast, or making her debut in Broadway or the West end. Saying that Chaein using English instead of Korean to caption the post, they assume she will be performing with an English cast.

Rosé held the phone in her hand, walking through the streets with Sujin trailing not far behind. The younger woman occasionally stopping to stare at a window shop, making the other wait until Sujin started walking behind her again.

Chaeyoung was talking to the blinks watching the live. Sujin not really listening in as she waddled across the side walk, being mindful of the cracks.She occasionally looked over to check that she wasn’t walking too far behind, she wasn’t really up for getting lost.

Sujin hums, absentmindedly watching Chaeyoung talk. 

Chaeyoung would occasionally look back, asking her something a fan asked, just generally talking or just checking in that she’s still following. Rosé knew very well how distracted Sujin could get.

The younger can’t help but want to play a little trick, the moment too serene for her amount of energy. (Did she take her meds this morning?)

Sujin watches for just a moment longer before she springs into action, getting up close and personal to Rosé and resting her head on the currently-blonde’s shoulder. Rosé smiles to acknowledge her presence, but otherwise doesn’t react much. 

A shuddering breath, Sujin gives a faux look over all of the comments.

A moment of hesitation. Barely there, but still small flutters rest in Sujin’s stomach as she turns to Chaeyoung and takes a second to just look at her.

It takes a moment for Chaeyoung to process what Sujin did.

Rosé barely stops herself from whipping her head to turn to Sujin, the latter smiling happily.

A small kiss, barely a ghost of lips right on her cheek.

“Someone told me to.” 

There was in fact no such request, but no one beside Sujin really needed to know that.

Energy was high, and truthfully Sujin felt like she was floating.

Being a little high on energy has never stopped Sujin from deciding to be a bit of a tease, however.

She waited, despite popular belief she could wait when she decided the wait was worth it.. most of the time, anyways.

She waited for the first chorus to pass to make her way over, Jennie standing on the side of the stage a little away from the other three. Sujin wandered over as Lisa started her rap.

Score, Sujin wrapped her arms around Jennie’s waist, there were several screams from their side of the audience which only made Sujin’s amused smirk grow bigger.

Jennie shot her a confused but amused expression, rasing an eyebrow before turning back to the audience. Though not before putting one hand over Sujin’s still sat around her waist.

“Hi.” 

Jennie hummed as response.

Now a kiss would be too much, that’s not for on stage unless specifically requested by fans. No- But Sujin could still tease.

Sujin swayed with Jennie’s waist still locked in her arms. Mouthing along to the lyrics.

And when she was sure it was safe to do so, gently tapped Jennie’s hips, slipping her thumbs into the older woman’s bottom for just a second.

Before completely leaving her alone. Putting the microphone to her mouth to yell out a ‘jump!’, leaving a confused and bright red Kim Jennie in her wake.

“I hate dating rumors.”

This conversation had taken place many times, with the exact same opening.

Sujin turned over, fully ignoring the fact that she did not have enough sleep yet and was exhausted out of her mind. And if Jisoo tried going at her because that was her own fault for staying up past 3 a.m. then she would start throwing hands.

Also ignoring the fact that the person talking was very much known for not being a morning person, which meant she slept in later then she was meant to and was going to be water boarded, probably.

In her defense- tours and flights are tiring.

“What’s up?”

“You go over to someone’s house once.” Lisa grumbled, holding her phone in her lap. 

Sujin got out of her bed, begrudgingly. Lisa whistled in response, the younger moving to sit beside her (more so lay beside her and rest her head on her thigh.) Speaking before Lisa could follow up with a comment.

“Seriously?” 

Lisa sighed. “Unfortunately.”

Sujin hummed, skimming over the article for a second, her lips pinned in a straight line. “Awful.”

“You’re telling me.”

And whether it was Sujin’s pure exhaustion clouding her better judgment, or her just wanting to be a tease. She responded.

“You should take me here and now to prove them wrong.” 

She muttered, her eyes still on the screen.

Lisa stared down at her, a faint red on her cheeks. Blinking away the shock, she turned her gaze back to her screen. A cheeky smile worming it’s way onto her lips.

“Hm, maybe i should.”

….

Now Jisoo wasn’t an easy one to tease. 

From several exaggerated flirty touches on stage,  maybe one too many times basically being glued to her hips, fixing her hair while maybe staring a little too much. Nothing Sujin did ever worked.

Sujin laid face first on her pillow, drunk and exhausted, the only one that drank for the night still awake. Just unable to go to sleep.

Jisoo gently pat her hair, gently lifting Sujin to rest her head on her chest.

Sujin groaned, snaking her arms around Jisoo’s waist. “You’re so pretty, unnie, and soooo kind..” She muttered, “I realllyyy love you.” 

Jisoo huffed, smiling. “I know, i love you too.” 

Sujin lifted her head, squinting her eyes as she examined Jisoo’s face. “Why do you have so many heads? And can i kiss them?” 

Jisoo laughed. Sujin wincing at the noise but smiling back, though she couldn’t understand what was so funny at the moment.

“If you can.” Jisoo teased, smiling.

Sujin pouted some more, determined. She lifted her head again, leaning on her elbows to reach. Jisoo raised a brow but closed her eyes as she waited, chuckling.

And waited. And waited.

Jisoo peeked an eye open, curious as to why the other was taking so long.

Only to see Sujin passed out, falling perfectly into the crook of Jisoo’s neck.

The eldest chuckled, holding onto Sujin as she got into a more comfortable position, draping the duvet over them. 

Upon morning, Sujin had barely any recollection of anything that happened that evening, let alone the night. Jisoo would laugh, startling her hung over members. Somewhere, she was glad. Because she surely remembered the heat radiating from her cheeks at Sujin’s barely conscious words.
