Been thinking a lot about this guy lately, so I made another picrew of him. Poor, poor, Ryuu. His life has taken a turn towards the chaotic ever since he met Castalia.

And it’s only going to get harder for him.

Another Ryuu post while I take a break from writing. Have some picrews (and a slight spoiler):

First thing you should know about Ryuu is that he has a serious sweet tooth. He loves sweets as much as Iroh loves tea, and you can frequently find him indulging on his days off.

The next is that he usually rocks a man-bun. Although that does tend to garner attention (more so ever since his promotion to 2nd Class). He normally doesn’t mind, having inherited his father’s more sociable personality, but in this pic his mother is asking when he’s going to bring someone nice to visit.

Also much like Iroh, Ryuu is very friendly and cheerful...until he gets serious. Then, all bets are off.

Overall, Ryuu is a good person, and a great friend to have. He’s well-liked among his peers in SOLDIER, and has made a name for himself outside of his father’s position as a general.

Notes:

Demonstrates exemplary teamwork and strategic thinking. Performs well under pressure. Fire spells are second only to those of SOLDIER 1st Genesis Rhapsodos. However, other elemental magics seem to have suffered as a result.

Helped defeat a Nibel Dragon as a 3rd Class.

*Mako has yet to alter SOLDIER Teneil’s eye color. Science Department has submitted request for a physical to evaluate and check for treatment effectiveness.

(Excerpt from correspondence addressed to Iroh Teneil, General of ShinRa's unenhanced military forces, from his son, SOLDIER 3rd Class, Ryuu Teneil)

"...What I do know is that I'm going to be assigned on a long-term mission soon. A couple of SOLDIERs who were a part of an escort group for Mr. Tuesti (he's the new head of Urban Development, in case you didn't know) got on the wrong end of a monster or something and had to leave. I was one of the ones chosen to fill up the empty slots. It's nothing too dangerous, so don't worry. Besides, Angeal Hewley himself volunteered to come along! I met him during the debriefing, and you were right- he really is everything you told me he was. Though I get the feeling he was extra nice to me because he knows you. Anyway, while I still have no idea why he wants to come along (seems a little like overkill to me, but maybe he needs a break or something) I doubt anything's going to happen with him around."

The group chat exploded.

As it did, SOLDIER Prep Cadet Kunsel stared at the quickly escalating chaos in disbelief for a good few minutes before sighing and shaking his head.

These fanboys really were something else.
