It would be a terrible time for Selene to walk in— and molly wasn't even really the issue. She had to be used it, probably, Matty's indulgences, and she herself was the one who urged Gabi to cut loose for once.

The issue was them.

The position they were in.

What would she say if she saw her best friend kneeling as her own cousin administered the tab? What would she think about the way they were both grinning, thick as thieves, the way Matty brushes her hair from the bare skin of her shoulders?

What would she say about the way Gabi shivers?

Did Matty see the way she shivered?

He looked so fucking good. There's a moment where his thumb skims over the plushest part of her lower lip, and that touch alone sends sensations thrumming down her body like the plucking of harp string. Even with the pill atop her tongue, her mouth is still languidly lax— it takes a moment for her to close it.

Jesus.

Her skin feels like it's on fire, and the molly hasn't even hit.

'You're so fucking...'

He's finishes his own pill, but not the sentence. There's a raising of his hands, some vague motion that's meant to imply something else; something she's supposed to read between between this and the warm pad of his finger that had skimmed Gabi's hair back.

Her, though? Really? Gabi didn't believe in false modesty, knew that she wasn't ugly, but there was something about Matty, who looked like had been cut out from amber, who had something bacchanal about his beauty, that makes her surprised to be the subject of his attentions.

She had noticed the stares. Gabi was certain he could have just about anyone in the room.

"Yeah," She says, breathless, a little bit more daze in her voice than she's used to, something completely unrelated to the drug. "You too."

You're so fucking: singular. Gorgeous. Fucking arresting.

She stands, and as she does, she extends her hand again, this time snagging his wrist between a circlet of her thumb and index finger, the tips of her nails just brushing against his skin, the thin sensitive bit by his palm.

"When this hits I don't know what I'll wanna do." It had been a while since Gabi had indulged— who knew what her reaction would be? Really, despite anything, she just wanted to experience it besides Matty. He had that ... freedom, to him, that wildness, yet despite all that beautiful abandon, there was something safe about him, too, earnestly sweet. It wasn't often those things existed alongside each other so plainly. "Maybe dance. Or. I don't know. Stare at lights like a lunatic. Jump into a body of water."

"Clown molly indeed."

Matty grinned. She was down. She couldn't have been more attractive even if she tried. God had somehow plucked Gabi right out of his dreams and dropped her right into his lap.

Matty just had to be careful not to screw this up.

She was grinning, inching toward him, when -

Oh, fuck.

There she stood, tongue out, urging him to pop the pill on her tongue.

Okay. Now she couldn't have been more attractive even if she tried. Holy fuck.

He carefully plucked one of the tablets out of the baggy. He closed the gap between the pair, his torso mere inches away from hers. Taking molly together was pretty intimate. It was euphoric and romantic and he wanted to enjoy every bit of the ride with Gabi.

The ambiance in the living room only added to the mood. It was dimly lit, with mesmerizing blue and purple artificial lighting. The music was loud. The guests were all rolling and dancing and kissing.

He gently brushed her hair behind her shoulders, taking just half a second to admire her. Fuck.

Alright.

He placed the tablet on her tongue, allowing his thumb to brush over her bottom lip very deliberately. He briefly imagined what kissing her would feel like.

Slow down, Matty.

He popped the tablet onto his tongue.

"You're so fucking..."

He didn't even know how to finish his sentence. He just smiled. Shook his head, gestured absently with his hands, hoping she somehow understood.

Perfect. Sexy.
