When FOH & BOH start communicating and working in sync- or as Carmy put it: "Vibrantly collaborating" or as The Blues Brothers put it: succeed on the divine mission of raising the money, they will save the orphanage, win the star, and save the restaurant.

And that´s not the best part,

The point is what that star represents in terms of Sydcarmy endgame because Carmy doesn´t deem himself worthy of pursuing Syd (amusement or enjoyment, AKA: love) till her wins it for her, because in his mind they are not doing it together, YET, up until now, he was doing it for her, it was his way of not leaving her alone and deliver on his promise.

I´m not saying it was the correct way, I said "HIS".

And the star is gonna come when:

They are no longer actively pursuing.

And when the BOH & the FOH communicate effectively, in canon terms: When Carmy and Richie make up.

And lastly, they make such a big deal about the menu, because THE MENU has to change for the star to happen:

They will be "the happy people" once they win the star, that´s for sure:

And once they win it, it´s Sydcarmy endgame time!

We all know what I think MEAT is code for on this show. I still think so. So last year I got to the conclusion that what Carmy was sketching was probably gonna be the dish they were gonna win the star with:

But when I saw this year´s poster I elevated that dish to a potential SYDCARMY ENDGAME CATALYST dish, along the lines of the Paupiette of Hamachi with red blood orange sauce, meaning, I still think it has huge chances of being the star winner, sure, but what if they lose it at first with that one, to win it later, kinda like Will Guidara´s true story, and when they win it they actually do it with that dish Carmy feeds Donna with in the teaser, which coincidentally looks a lot like a Sydcarmy version, well balanced on the acid, of S1´s Coca Cola braised short-ribs?

This means that if I´m right, they will win the star with the Sydcarmy dish that Carmy will finally rate as "PERFECT".

And they will lose it with the one featured on the poster:

But with the one on the poster, Carmy will win Syd over if he confesses that he created it for her and that he has been thinking about it for a year now, obsessing over it even.

So that will maybe lead to a confession of a different sort, that has less to do with work and more to do with MEAT a more personal aspect.

If I´m wrong, they will win the star with the dish Marcus is creating (as @afrofairysblog predicted in the Under the Table Sydcarmy pod)

Which is why it´s all over the trailer and I´d love that! But only if Sydcarmy goes canon with a "meaty" dish this season.

So summing up the star will come this year, probably via the lamb rib, the lamb ragú, the short-ribs (my personal preference is the short-ribs and it´s the dish I think has better chances) but the lamb rib looks like a winner too, it´s just that I don´t think that Storer would spoil such an important dish on the actual poster of the season, so I´m thinking now that it´s more of a "sydcarmy confession dish" that will make the Hamachi heart´s case even more bulletproof for Carmy to make in Syd´s court and the star will then come via the short-ribs, but both have amazing chances IMO.

The point is that the winner dish has to have meat in it as main ingredient, so they can fuck to celebrate and confirm my Meat theory, lolol! That being said, I don´t think Sydcarmy sex is a S4 dish, but if there´s a S5, as all is pointing at, unfortunately, it will be served then.

Bonus track: Tina is foreshadowing that Syd is ready to go too.
