๐น the worst roleplay trend i ever saw
Can I say ask meme/reblog karma or whatever that was? Not only it felt very forced at the time where it was going strong, but in the obligation of sending you may not even send in questions the mun may be interested in answering and it kinda discouraged people from interacting out of their own volition. I'm kinda happy that trend died and now things seem to be more genuine ngl
๐ฆ the best thing that's happened to me in roleplay this year
MEETING @aguilareye. Singlehandedly I've never seen a person more friend-shaped than her. We've bonded immediately over our silly KaeHill ship and her warm and super affectionate energy keeping my spirits up and is a delight to gravitate around her like a tiny planet. Not only it keeps me going but she pelts me with ideas and things about our muses as much as I pelt her with those also <3 <3 <3 It's SO GOOD to match energies and just scutter around them like an octopus... I bite into she like a rabid hamster
Shrimpy you are a JOY to talk to and roleplay with and I hope we get to talk forever and ever. GRABS YOU LIKE A LITTLE PLUSHIE
๐ฅ my hot take about the roleplaying community
The block button is the definitive ''you stink and I don't want to talk to you'' on Tumblr. Jokes aside, hardblocking someone and keeping them that way is a pretty good indicator that communicating with you is not something they wish to pursue, and this should be respected.ย
The moment someone blocks you, what they do or say is no longer your problem.
They no longer exist in your orbital zone, and you shouldn't worry about them- this is what I do. If I see the message ''some replies may have been restricted/blocked'' when I go to reply on someone's post that I'm following, I don't investigate. Blocking is blocking, and usually if I accidentally discover who blocked me, I tend to try and block too as a quiet nod to reinforce the no-communication zone.
Blocking also solves most problems and discord. I don't want to see you, blocked. I don't like/don't agree with your opinion, your portrait, your ideas? Blocked. Your friend comes with fresh shittalking gossip about someone? Block that someone! Though, uh, be careful with the timing of that. If the person notices they've been blocked right after, it's kinda a giveaway that they have been shittalked about. It can lead to more drama, which sucks. Speaking from experience of being the blocked one with extremely suspicious timings. I'm however content with being an observer so I just make a mental note and move on.
Blocking is ALWAYS effective, on any platform you'll ever use. Don't be shy in using it instead of enterting something stressful.
