#SO much of her story is tied into blackness!! you CAN'T erase her being black without taking away a fundamental aspect -

man people who racebend characters of color are REALLY showing their asses in how they think we're all interchangable and see us as a checklist for "Getting A Good Grade In Woke :)" rather than just... acknowledgment of the existing natural diversity of planet earth and the different ways people make life of it.
its insensitive to reimagine disneys tiana as asian, not because asian people dont face racism or cant enjoy cooking or didnt exist in 1920s new orleans- but because tiana is the first and still only black disney princess and was written and designed as such. her race informs and deepens her writing and her struggles, her love for her dad and specifically wanting to validate a jim crow era black man's sacrifices for his family, her connection to him and her community through her cooking when they all struggle to keep food on the table. similarly mulan shouldnt be rebranded as african american, not because black women couldnt exist in china or never crossdressed to join the army or dont face misogyny- but because mulan is a folk hero of historical chinese legend and as mulan, specifically cannot be divorced from that background. (also, frankly? the early white princesses arent really as well written for the most part, and their culture of origin is virtually never taken into account aside from visuals in their development, if that).
thats what ticked me off so bad about the monster high reboot. nb frankie was so cool and an asian draculaura was so fun but then they just... took away the black girl? and by extension, her sisters and thus ALL the black girls and like, dude not cool? nothing wrong with her being latina but being afrolatina is a different experience than being african american. afrolatinas deserve rep but that doesnt mean they shouldve taken clawdeen from african american girls. then there was some back and forth as to where specifically draculaura's family is from, and lagoona's origins vary from source to source dolls vs movie vs tv too and you just really feel the lack of effort and cohesion in the writing rooms. it really is just all just numbers on a chart, quotas to be filled there.
even with shows like winx where its ambiguous at times and kind of a raceblind take at others, theres so little for ANY of us that redesigning without that in mind becomes poaching. why would you take when ive been given so precious little? why would you want to change this one gift from people like me that lets me know i'm seen and loved? sure, other people deserve to have that too but if they want to borrow then take those who have so much they wont even miss it?
asdfghjkl sorry for the essay, i guess i had a breakthrough in how to put why this specific issue gets to me.
YESSS THANK YOU
Like it's so fucking weird to me!!! And GOD I wanted to say something about gen3 Clawdeen but I wasn't sure if I was "right" or if it was my place to say but exactly!! Being afrolatina is wonderful and they deserve representation too but it is still ultimately a different experience from being black american and they shouldn't have taken that away from black girls! I'm glad that mixed kids have her as rep now but they shouldn't have taken her away!! They very easily could've made a new character to fill that role instead!
AND YES to the winx point!! At the end of the day, it doesn't matter that some of the girls races or ethnicities are more ambiguous, they still have Canon races and people shouldn't be taking that away and giving it to someone else. That's not how representation works! Ever! Like if someone redesigned Aisha to be asian, that wouldn't make me happy or give me More representation. All that would be doing is taking away representation from black people! Same thing with Musa, Flora, Nabu, etc.
It also feels So fucking scummy when a white person's excuse is just that they Personally didn't see a character as their canonical race/ethnicity and that's why they changed it?? Like I don't give a shit if You personally don't see Nabu as an Indian man. That doesn't change his blatant coding. Same with characters like Flora who are more ambiguous. It doesn't matter if You Personally don't like her being Latina. She is. Fucking deal???

Why I think the Red Fox is related to the Legendary Stalker
@elden-bling My reply would be too long, but here's some item descripts as to why I think the Red Fox is related to the Legendary Stalker.
(I just began NG+ so all my Collectibles are reset to 0.)
Descript of [Bundle of Old Letters] you can find in Arche Abbey.
Dear Valentinus Monad. As a result of the last summit, we venerable families have decided to sponsor the Zelator laboratory construction plan actively. There are still those who oppose, but it won't be too hard to persuade them. The only possible variable is that they won't give any information about the lab. Being careful is a good thing, but we're the ones who provide the funding, so we don't want any uncertainties. We should never just watch. Old families hate being looked down the most. You Alchemists know and handle so many things. I had no idea that place known as the devil's pit had so much value. But when a gold mine or a secret is revealed, you can't put the cat back in the bag. Don't worry about the construction workers. We'll take care of it real clean. Don't forget, it you look down or try to trick us, it's not only the workers who will disappear. Till next time I see you. I'm looking forward to our beneficial exchange. In the name of the old houses, Volfe.
Descript of [Mechanical Cryptic Vessel] that can be found in Arche Abbey:
"Orders: The train doesn't leave anymore, and the merchant awaits a "Frozen Feast" in the destroyed town. Appendix: An order form is attached for mutual trust. No gender preference. A request for Bastard-style Stalker equipment. Refer to the daughter of the Volfe family; codenamed Fox's equipment. Please obtain it by crafting or checking if there's extra in stock. Even though she's cut ties with the Volfe family, she's still a Volfe. She's got a good eye and the best equipment. Maybe we can look her up when we're upgrading our equipment."
[Rusty Cryptic Vessel] talks about the locked cave in the Barren Swamp. There's flavor text in the end about some "Volfe girl". One thing about the cave is that you can find the Black Cat's clothes here. It's one of the first deliberate hints in-game you can find about the Fox's identity from then on.
"Orders: Find the cave blocked off by metal bars in the Barren Swamp. There is a reward at the end of the new road. There is a place called Hermit's Cave. An old man who went crazy after losing his family locked himself up there to pray. It's strange in this age to hear about such a medieval-sounding story in Krat, but one thing's clear: It's a good place to hide treasure. The kid's clothes seemed like good-quality too. Maybe that Volfe girl fixed them up."
[Red Fox Amulet] description:
Tumblr media
...also this next one is very superficial, I think... But this summary of the [Have A Taste of La Bleiwies!] ad for some reason, even though nowhere in the actual contents have that descript. You can pick this up when the Fox and Cat join you temporarily in the Mallum District slums.
Item Summary: "Even the legendary Stalker enjoys La Bleiwies. Taste the best wine chosen by the one who stood at the pinnacle."
Contents: "The La Bleiwies winery has a long history. Vintage wine, starting alongside the revival of Krat. Its rosy color known as the ruby of heaven, its delicately matured scent and taste, its wonderful aftertaste."
(....because... red... red fox... orz)
As for Laxasia, I haven't seen any mention of her Stalker background. Only the description of [Sad Zealot's Ergo] mentions that her old name was Alchemist Adriana, the one writing [So Said Pristis 1 & 2]
"Ergo obtained from Laxasia the Complete. It is packed with immense power. A treasure hunter may want this rare Ergo. The Alchemist Adriana was baptized by the elixir and she became the first whole being. Everything about her was perfect except the fact that her feelings for one person could not be erased."
Loading Screen hints are a bit difficult to wait for since I'm in PC but I'll post what I can find.

Hi!! I am so excited to be your Secret Santa!!! Tell me your favorite things! (Taylor era, colors, aesthetics, foods, specific lyrics, songs and anything else!!)
Hi!! omg I'm so excited too <3 how are you, love??
My fav Taylor era (and album) is Reputation, it's getting hard to rank her albums though! What's yours?
My fav color is definitely turquoise, I also love fuccia, white and black, and I really love the minimalist aesthetic:)
Food mmm I'd say spaghetti, that's my weakness lol I can eat it with any sauce, except if it contains seafood, I don't like it at all
I'm gonna give you a (long) list with my favorite Taylor songs and lyrics, because I'm a little too indecisive as you can tell 🙈 sorry if this is too much!
Jump Then Fall: I've never been so wrapped up honey, I like the way you're everything I ever wanted
Forever And Always: here's to silence, that cuts me to the core, where is this going? Thought I knew for a minute, but I don't anymore
You're Not Sorry: and you got your share of secrets and I'm tired of being last to know
Bye Bye Baby: I was so sure of everything, everything I thought we'd always had
The Other Side Of The Door: I keep going back over things we both said, and I remember the slamming door and all the things that I misread
The Story Of Us: this is looking like a contest of who can act like they care less
Sparks Fly: just keep on keeping your eyes on me, it's just wrong enough to make it feel right
If This Was A Movie: the entire bridge tbh
Haunted: something keeps me holding on to nothing
I Almost Do: oh, we made quite a mess, babe, it's probably better off this way
The Last Time: just like all those times before, you wear your best apology but I was there to watch you leave
Come Back...Be Here: Taxi cabs and busy streets that never bring you back to me, I can't help but wish you took me with you
The Very First Night: We broke the status quo, then we broke each other's hearts
All You Had To Do Was Stay: here you are now, calling me up but I don't know what to say, I've been picking up the pieces of the mess you made
I know Places: lights flash and we'll run for the fences, let them say what they want, we won't hear it
Wonderland: but there were strangers watching, and whispers turned to talking, and talking turned to screams
So It Goes...: wear you like a necklace, I'm m so chill, but you make me jealous
Dancing With Our Hands Tied: so, baby, can we dance oh, through an avalanche? And say, say that we got it, I'm a mess, but I'm the mess that you wanted
Don't Blame Me: If you walk away, I'd beg you on my knees to stay
Lover: and at every table, I'll save you a seat loverrrr
False God: but we can patch it up good make confessions and we're begging for forgiveness, got the wine for you
Cruel Summer: I don't wanna keep secrets just to keep you
Afterglow: this ultraviolet morning light below, tells me this love is worth the fight
seven: love you to the moon and to saturn
hoax: you knew you won so what's the point of keeping score?
this is me trying: I was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere
my tears ricochet: and I can go anywhere I want, anywhere I want, just not home
gold rush: I don't like that falling feels like flying 'till the bone crush
cowboy like me: Now you hang from my lips like the Gardens of Babylon, with your boots beneath my bed forever is the sweetest con
right where you left me: if our love died young, I can't bear witness
coney island: will you forgive my soul, when you're too wise to trust me and too old to care?
renegade: is it insensitive for me to say get your sh*t together, so I can love you?
Maroon: You were standing hollow-eyed in the hallway, carnations you had thought were roses, that's us
Would've, Could've, Sould've: and if you never saved me from boredom I could've gone on as I was, but, Lord, you made me feel important and then you tried to erase us
The Great War: say a solemn prayer, place a poppy in my hair
And a really really special mention to 'it's like your eyes are liquor, it's like your body is gold' from end game
Sorry for late reply, I've been kinda busy, hope you have an amazing week!💜

What other way to end this series? I hope I did justice to him and, team Levie, let's all hope he gets his route someday, even if far into the future!

DAY 15 - Open prompt
Tumblr media
Levie begins drumming his fingers against the hard cover of the book he holds, propped up against a knee. Cradle sure does have some interesting books to offer, but even they can get boring after some time. Reading has been his main pastime in the Land of the Looking glass, where the silence was plentiful. Here at the black army barracks, he can't say the same. The noisy bunch of soldiers introduced him to a quite hectic way of life, one that he still gets used to, but one not necessarily unfitting for him. Hell, at least in the opinion of that Sirius guy, he himself would get to be the center of ruckus every now and then. Whatever he says.
Silence is good for reading. And yet, sometimes it drives him mad.
Levie closes the book shut, putting it aside. He remains ever the nightbird he was inside his own little world. He readjusts his position under the covers, trying to get to sleep but alas, he craves none of it.
Next to him on the bed, Alice sleeps like a baby. She even fell asleep with one of her hands resting next to her head, at which Levie snickers when he takes notice.
"How are you always sleeping so soundly?"
He brushes the hair out of her pretty face, thanking the faint moonlight for being strong enough to make it possible to see it. He is sure his girlfriend would've scolded him for using it for reading, though. It's for the best that she falls asleep so fast…
His finger traces her cheek, moving down to her neck. On the tip of his finger, enough magic is contained to erase a person's existence. Yet the only thing it does to her is make her crinkle her nose.
Levie sighs. He is overcame with emotions he's never been good at dealing with. His mind goes places, on the topic of silence and then of its absence, and he remembers the holidays again.
His first Christmas here, no, his first Christmas ever, and how warm it felt. The guys made sure to include him in all their ridiculous traditions which were alien to him. They gave him gifts. They shared everything like him, the meals, and then some days after, the toasts when the hands of the clock aligned at midnight to announce the beginning of the new year.
He realizes how dear all of it is to him. And Alice's happy face amidst it all, holidays and the ordinary days, the laugher, the loud exclamations of an army slogan, all of that noise. For all he knows about the concept of time, he'd lost too much of it being a stranger in the middle of it all.
"This year will be different."
Though his new life has already started, it's only in these moments of reminiscence that he actually realizes the impact of it. The change is coming unenviably, and, it's good.
The rustling of bedsheets gets to his ears and he can feel Alice hogging up the blanket as she turns with her back to him. He clicks his tongue and rolls on his side as well, nestling his body flush to hers and spooning her. He retrieves enough of the blanket to cover both of them and shuts his eyes in a new attempt to fall asleep.
"Levie…I'm horny…"
The meek whisper throws his resting demeanor out of the window as he opens his eyes anew.
"I thought you were sleeping…?"
"Mmm… I just dreamed of something… just, don't laugh at me…"
He can feel Alice's foot nudge and rub into his own, both playful and bashful at the same time. The little touch is somehow enough to send shivers straight to his cock. But what really does it to him is the way her pretty little ass presses back into his abdomen.
"Hah, I thought… I thought food is the only thing you ever dream of."
"…Levie!"
Before she can protest further, Levie trails a hand under the covers along the side of her body, finding the band of her sleeping shorts and tugging them down. Alice only whimpers at the speed of the way things are progressing and patiently awaits for her boyfriend to enter her bared pussy. Choosing to bite the pillow as he pushes in, Levie is quick to grasp her face and tip it towards him so he steals that one first moan for himself, with a kiss.
Alice gasps into it, worrying that she might be too vocal as Levie sets a steady rhythm of grinding his hips against her with little thrusts. It responds perfectly to her sleepy yet horny mood, working the coil in her belly towards a peak.
Just as Alice thought he'd easily fuck her to completion, he paused and changed his position, caging her body with his own as he gets on top of her.
He gives a few hollow thrusts, attention shifting as his hands are all too busy on her torso - holding up her breasts in his hands, rubbing his thumbs over their peaks. While Alice absolutely loves the way it feels, moreso with his cock still buried inside her, she wiggles her hips in need of more.
"C'mon Levie… I need you…"
She is not too sleepy as to not notice his boyfriend's reaction - or lack thereof. His magic crystal colored gaze is serious somehow, even if hazed by lust. He lowers his head until buried in the crook of her neck, and inhales in her scent.
Alice's curious gaze softens as she simply puts a hand on the back of his head, caressing him. The smile is too soon gone from her face as it gets shaken in a shockwave of pleasure, Levie rubbing on her clit while starting to move again.
He remains pressed into her, chest to chest, his heavy breather fighting to give way to words despite itself.
"This year, I'm going to make love to you so many times."
Alice all but feels herself clench tighter around him, arms grabbing for purchase around his neck.
"I want to do so many things to you, Alice… I want to-Haaah- I want to take you outside, in the open. On broad daylight. And I want to make you scream so many times. To touch you everywhere-"
"W-what's gotten into you?"
Alice fears that if Levie keeps up with this dirty talk, her poor heart would explode. And she fears a somewhat similar fate for some other part of her body…
"I want to explore you, inside and out… I can't help myself now that I have you."
All of this started with you. All thanks to you who held out your hand to me-
His words start to trail as his breath hitches again, trying to warn of something - and in response, Alice only wraps her legs around his torso, pulling him down into the depths of pleasure. Levie groans her name, filling her up in few long thick spurts and taking good care of her orgasm until she is a sobbing mess underneath him.
The kiss their share is broken by Alice's soft giggle, her glossy eyes staring back at Levie's.
"You're being cute, Levie…"
The darkness of their bedroom does poor job to Levie's favor to hide his stupidly reddening cheeks. Did she really see right through him now?
"Shut up… look who is talking."
Alice pulls him back down to her chest to rest upon, content with the moment just as it is. It wasn't hard to figure out. She already has an idea of what goes through her lover's mind when he stays up at night like that.
Gods, she hopes he always stays the way he was in those past few moments. True to himself. Eager to taste his freedom and soar on its wings; even to be so illicitly bold in his desires if he needs to-
There is so much more she is eager to show him. They have all the time ahead of themselves; they can take the steps once at a time.
After awhile, he speaks up again.
"You never told me what you dreamed about."
"…Wouldn't it be better if I showed you?"

The True Yozora Trapped Within the Dream
Yozora's current state is like Terra's previous state. Xehanort and Terra were at war within Apprentice Xehanort, so neither had control or say in the latter's actions. In 0.2, Aqua meets Terra in the Realm of darkness. But what she was seeing was an illusion, in truth only his voice was legit. Terra informs her the only way that was possible was because of Terra's "Ties to the Dark".
Tumblr media
But more importantly, what Aqua saw was how she remembered Terra, how her heart remembered Terra.
Tumblr media
At the end of his story in BBS, Terra allowed his heart to succumb to the darkness within which is what gave him the connection to the dark realm while located in the realm of light.
-Which is similar to how Yozora answered Sora's call at the beginning of the Secret Episode.
In both endings, Yozora and Sora share the original quote:
"I've been having these weird thoughts lately. Like, is any of this for real or not? None of this makes sense to me."
Why does Yozora say this as he wakes up however?
In the bad ending, the part of the quote he states is:
"I've been..."
"None of this makes sense to me."
"Like is any of this for real or not?"
In the true ending, the part of the quote he states is:
"I've been having these weird thoughts lately."
"Like is any of this for real or not?"
The phrase "None of this makes sense to me" ironically doesn't make sense coming from Yozora after he wakes from the dream. When Sora and Yozora have their exchange in the beginning, the way Yozora talked implied that he already had an experience similar to this already:
-Yozora also seemed to know what would happen if he was defeated, because his reaction to being "erased" was to acknowledge out loud that his powers weren't needed at the time.
-Yozora knew they weren't in the real world.
-Yozora was there for a purpose, "To save Sora"
-Yozora had been to Shibuya before where he apparently underwent the trials of the Reaper's Game.
-Yozora wasn't at all shocked when Sora's station of awakening digitized and transported them to said location.
-Yozora knew to touch Sora's crystalized body/soul to "save" him.
The only reasons I can think the dream wouldn't make sense to Yozora is if:
-Yozora forgot the dream as soon as he woke up
-Yozora's dreams get scattered across the dreams of others, connecting him to those people such as Riku in the secret ending.
"A far off memory that's like a scattered dream. A scattered dream that's like a far off memory."
Or
The person who woke up wasn't Yozora.
Tumblr media
"He's been changed beyond recognition, his heart replaced with another."
I think much like how Terra could only be "Active" in the Realm of Darkness because his heart and body were occupied by Xehanort, True Yozora can only be active within his own dreams when False Yozora falls asleep.
Now, how does that work in regards to both endings?
-I think the "Bad" ending is bad because it's essentially the worst case scenario for both characters. Sora is crystalized and trapped within the dream just like Yozora is. True Yozora on the other hand progressed to the Final World, but I think the amount of time in which he can act is limited to how long False Yozora stays asleep hence why the former closed his eyes in tandem with the latter. But the problem is just like Sora, True Yozora is still trapped within the dream and replaced with False Yozora which is probably why The Driver/Luxord didn't have a reaction in the bad ending, because nothing changed.
-The "True" ending on the other hand has a potentially better outcome for both characters. Once defeated, True Yozora begins to dissipate from the dream in a blue light beginning with his left hand and is then fully enveloped being sent heavenward. I've already mentioned this in a previous post about Yozora being a savior like Lightning, but both instances of a light shooting toward the sky resulted in Yozora teleporting to another world. In this case however with True Yozora being "erased" from the dream, he can't access the Final World like previously.
So where did he go?
I think by defeating him, we freed True Yozora. When we lose Sora is encased in Crystal, with crystal fragments hovering around it. Like in XIII, his soul is trapped. But if we compared this to how Yozora goes away, it's almost like the opposite. His being is fading away surrounded by blue lights almost as if the crystals trapped the light within and upon defeat Yozora instead of crystallizing him, he's enveloped in the light from within that would have been the crystal.
Yozora's Appearance:
How come when True Yozora wakes up after defeating him he still looks different? And if he still looks different how did the driver (and possibly whoever else might've been in the car) tell that the True Yozora had returned?
The last possible explanation I have for this is,
-The place where Yozora woke up wasn't the "real world", it was another dream or dream world. In other words Yozora's dream is a 'Dream of a Dream', where one's appearance is determined by what the people/person within the dream remembers them as. Luxord, Stella, Aegis and Magia (got tired of addressing them outside of names) know and probably saw what happened to Yozora and his original form, so their hearts remembered both Yozora forms and could easily distinguish the two from one another.
(Maybe there was an actual visual cue offscreen that the Driver noticed upon True Yozora's return to his body that happened during the scene transition or simply put, Yozora turned back into whatever his body was originally supposed to look like so of course they were able to tell that it was the True Yozora who had returned.)
How Sora sees Yozora
-Sora only knows the form of Yozora he's seen throughout Toy Box, so of course that's why he or his heart would recognize the heterochromatic man as Yozora when the latter asks him "How do you recognize me as Yozora?"
But then that would still leave the following question, how come to "us- the audience" Yozora looked exactly the same as how we've seen him since the beginning of KH3?
*This part is more "meta" but if that is the case than maybe because "we-the audience" don't know what Yozora actually looks like, his appearance to us is the appearance we've always known him to have: The Silver-haired Heterochromatic Verum Rex Protagonist.
Finally, I have to bring up my original Sora & Yozora Role Reversal theory, where I said that Sora and Yozora switched hearts/souls. If True Yozora returned to his body, where did False Yozora go? Is he now trapped within the dream just like Yozora was, and if that is the case wouldn't he have just appeared in front of Sora at the end before the fade to black?
I think False Yozora now resides within Sora and if the latest Melody of Memories trailer is anything to go off of, Sora doesn't look quite alright.
(It's also quite possible that our Sora went with Yozora into his body and False Yozora is the only remnant within Sora's body, although I kind of doubt it.)

So we are starting off with these two!!!
They were basically my excuse to make some errink content
On the left: WAX ART
Oki let's start off with the ink of these two it's gonna be dot points from here on out
Has a SOUL , it's not tangible and is consistently melting , if it finishes melting, wax will die , it's also a human SOUL and I will get to why he has one in his backstory
Wax doesn't have any emotions due to the fact that they melted out of him long ago
He is consistently hot and a touch of his bones would burn you, but he feels cold
Uses a pencil named stabby , stabby is a her , stabby stabs people
Wax was originally a girl...I made stabby a girl instead
The dripping colours on his clothes are his emotions
He uses stabby to well stab and draw, he also uses the erasers on his belt to fix some drawing mistakes
The sash holds pencils as drawing with them helps him to feel (idk)
His eyes are green hearts because his SOUL is the same
Covers himself up because he doesn't want anyone to know he is melting
Backstory: wax was a normal ink sans made to protect the universe he was created in , sadly he wasn't very good at it and was cast aside for another ink to be made, he became lost and lost his purpose..
untill he found a human with red eyes and a rather glitched out shirt with purple and yellow stripes they offered him a SOUL and pleased to be able to have a probable new start somewhere in the multiverse accepted the SOUL and all was well
Untill that is after a few years later the SOUL started to deteriorate and melt which caused his own body to melt as well he was scared ...that is untill his emotions melted out of his body in different dripping colours staining his carpet (he got a house now) and his clothes now emotionless and without purpose once more
he fled to the doodle sphere that was once his now replaced with another him except this ink had a black shirt with light pink stripes at the ends , his sash being a bright yellow (and had square shaped vials with heart shaped stones as the tops) along with his scarf of which was decorated with blue stars at the bottom, the eyes were pink hearts and blue stars, the paint splatter on his cheek was constantly changing colours, the pants were denim decorated with different patches, the shoes were normal except when they moved the soles glowed and they wielded a marker
The strange new ink looked at wax with confusion and asked who he was, after explaining his story and what had happened the other felt pity for him and proceeded to help him or at least he tried to, before something came up and they said they had to leave , wax asked if he could come too and the other agreed
While trying to protect the au from two error sans wax met heartstrings who didn't want to fight and was being controlled by the other error wax saved him by cutting the strings with stabby and in return heartstrings helped with his SOUL wrapping pink strings around it keeping it together , wax was well he couldn't feel but he still was greatfull and expressed the gratitude be it not very clearly
And on da right we got: HEART STRINGS
Soo we gotts an error and we are using the dot points again
His SOUL along with his body is covered with red cracks and is split into pieces while being tied in his pink strings
Doesn't have much emotion, still got more than wax tho
He can't speak, can speak thru strings
His new clothes were made by wax (with the other inks help)
His strings can keep things together and fix things
I kinda don't know much about him
Backstory: he was chilling out in his antivoid (lying on a beanbag and watching tv) one day sending his puppets out to destroy Aus for him when something wierd happened the place started to rumble and some neon red strings came from nowhere covering the roof of his antivoid the red strings meeting with his own pink ones and tying themselves around them then his eyes were met with two >-shaped, red eyes so he was new huh?? Wonder why
After a while they became mates but since the newer was stronger (if only slightly) he became leader and went out to destroy Aus, sometimes asking heartstrings to help him with the annoying creator who was protecting the Aus
This day was one such day as the newer wanted to do it quickly so he didn't miss his favourite show , "magic markings" and he came with but the newer saw that he was a bit hesitant so he used his strings to control heartstrings SOUL and they headed out
When they were in the middle of destroying two ink sans came through a light pink portal one of them covered in light and neon colours with a highlighter on his back and the....other..he was well interesting he wore light colours as well but in darker shades and had a pencil on his back and erasers around his belt and his hands looked like they were melting, he looked as broken as much as he did and he instantly felt warm in his cheekbones, but instantly was sent to fight with the melting one which he didn't want to do they realised this and unseathed his pencil he was scared that he was gonna die so he closed his eyes instinctively waited for the pain from the sharp looking object
....It never came instead the melting one had severed the strings , now that he was closer he was able to see his damaged SOUL and felt pity so he used his strings to hold the melting, cracking green gear together and then immediately got tackle-hugged from him which made his face heat up even more ...he held in his breath then wrapping his pink strings around the one hugging him telepathically asked
"sooo uhh what's your name?, Mine's heartstrings, uhhh heart for short"
The melting skelly who had burried his skull in his sheet from the hug looked up at him with his green heart-shaped eyes making him look adorable and said in a very soft but high tone
"nice to meet you, names wax art or just wax" he felt his cheekbones heat up once more
There!! Done two of em ugghhh there are sooo many left welp better get started
Have a good day/night and stay safe!!

Eri and Shigaraki are obviously supposed to parallel one another, but in the sense of "showing what might have been both ways" not in "Eri was saved, so Shigaraki will be too", I think.I can't say anything for certain, obviously, but I feel like everything we've found out makes any salvation for him less likely, not more. I would like for the series to directly address that the two characters have important similarities, though. like enji and bakugou 1/3
I think the parallels between eri and tenko of them exist primarily to demonstrate how much of a difference it can make depending on how people are treated and, on a slightly darker level how the people that heroes protect can potentially become the villains that heroes were protecting them from in the first place. Shiggy is one of those tragic cases where you can totally see that he could have been redeemed if he had been helped sooner, but it’s nearly impossible to imagine a scenario 2/3
where his current self could be redeemed. Shiggy could of possibly been redeemed when he was a child, if someone more morally sound got to him before All for One did. Sure, he would of likely been a traumatized and guilty wreck once he realized exactly what he did but atleast he would of had a chance. In the present he’s not so much someone to be redeemed as he is a serious threat to public safety that needs to be contained. 3/3
Thanks for the ask, anon!  You’re free to disagree with me all you like, I hope you don’t mind if I continue the discussion. I consider this blog to be all about discussion so nobody is truly wrong, all I can do is restate my point of view and hope it’s understandable.

Shigaraki’s Character Development  and Why it Shows There’s Still a Chance for Him
Shigaraki is an ugly, messy, bad person one who is hard to sympathize with. The entire point of his conflcit is that it’s difficult to imagine him being saved, but the story goes out of its way to show that he is at the same time, a person capable of changing for the better. If he were a lost cause, he would only experience negative development not the positive development he’s been shown. The plot is heading towards Shigaraki being saved not because people should have to sympathize with him, but because Shigaraki has a character arc. He’s not spiraling out of control, he’s growing into becoming his own person outside of the threat to society All for One intended him to be.
I never once said in my post that Shigaraki deserves redemption, or is going to be redeemed in a straightforward manner. My post is entirely about how moralizing the way one victim of abuse acts, in comparison to the way another victim of abuse acts and deciding which one of them should be saved based on that black and white judgement is wrong. At that point the complexity from both characters is erased to rule that Eri is the “good victim” and Shigaraki is the “bad victim.”
Saying that only Eri deserves comfort or solace from what has been done to her is the same as saying that victims only deserve to be helped if they are acting a certa “acceptable” way. It was also about the complexities of empathizing with someone. Not every case of empathy is going to be beautiful, not every person you’re asked to sympathize with is going to be as straightforward as feeling bad for a crying little girl. Sometimes people don’t cry, sometimes people resist you every step of the way, sometimes people are ugly and hard to confront but that does not make them any less deserving of empathy.
Shigaraki does not stop being a human at any point. His victim status does not get negated by the fact that he has grown up. Especially since, Shigaraki is still very much underneath All for One’s thumbs and in the middle of his machination. In fact because Shigaraki is still a human who is effected by the environment around him he has been shown
#1 - Shigaraki has a character arc, and is directly tied to the themes of the story
Most importantly, Shigaraki is a character with an arc. The reason I say he is going to be saved isn’t because I like redemption arcs, or I think every villain needs to be redeemed. In fact I hate the term “redemption arc” because it’s dumb, literally what makes a redemption arc good is the same thing that makes any other character arc good, a character facing consequences for their actions and being forced to change. A character getting their teeth repeatedly kicked in until they learn better.
You have to think of this story in terms of themes, and characters. Shigaraki is the second most important character thematically after the Deku, so he’s not just a tragic case that can disappear after one arc. What exactly would the story be saying if a kid who has basically been abused all of his life and raised as a child soldier gets “put down” before any single person sympathized with him or even gave him a chance? That you only get saved if you’re lucky enough to be saved? That’s super optimistic there.
Tumblr media
Thematically the main conflict of the story is that in a society made up of heroes, there are people who do not get saved. This is how the story starts “In this world people are not created equal”, this is what Shigaraki thinks when he is alone in a crowd of people desperately begging for people to help him, only for people to ignore him, because he looked too ugly, or too dangerous to get involved in.
I’m not saying Shigaraki deserves to be saved because it’s nice, or because I want him to, by “deserves” I mean this is an idea the story is building up and should be paid off. The theme is a question and the events that happen in story is an answer.
What exactly do we learn if Shigaraki is just “put down by the plot?”
That some people don’t get saved? But we already knew that at the start of the story. It is the literal first line in the story. By that logic Deku should never have gotten All Might’s Quirk, because he was unlucky enough to be born without it. The point of stories is that they challenge the status quo, change it, and then resolve it. My Hero Academia is not a cynical story, it’s about using effort to change and overcome the things that are unfair about the world rather than just succumbing to the world’s flaws around you. It’s a story where the system can be overcome, where the heroes are expected to be heroes and do better to make up for the failures of the previous generation.
At the start of the story Shigaraki was just another villain to take down, if that’s his final fate at the end of the story then there was no point in following him for hundreds of chapters. He could have just been a villain that disappeared after the first arc, and then got replaced by Stain, and then got replaced by Chisaki, and then by Re-Destro.
The point is the story is choosing to focus on Shigaraki’s growth and development because the author plans to go somewhere with it. Since My Hero Academia is thematically about saving people, and Shigaraki is the most difficult character too save, but also emblamatic of the victims that society creates it makes thematic sense to save him. Your argument that Shigaraki only serves as a bad example of what could have happened to Eri had she not been saved does not work, because Eri is not an important character. She’s introduced in chapter 129, as opposed to Shigaraki who makes an appearance in chapter 13.
As someone who loves the Overhaul arc, and who adores Eri, at this point Eri is not that much of her own character. She basically exists for two reasons, the relationship she has with three important characters (Eraserhead, Mirio, Deku) and also the plot point that her quirk is a weird macguffin that needs to be studied. Despite being in a highly volatile and violent environment as a child, Eri shows almost no negative signs of her abuse at all (that is getting violent herself, acting out, lashing out) and is basically gets over most of it writing wise by having a fun day at a concert. Once again, I don’t think this is bad, it’s just that Eri isn’t as important to the plot so she’s written the best she can with the limited amount of focus she’s given.
Tumblr media
Eri is entirely there for her relationships to other characters. Therefore, it makes far more sense that Eri is there to serve Shigaraki’s storyline, not the other way around.
See let’s use star wars. Darth Vader is there to be a negative foil to Luke, to show a jedi who fell to the dark side as Luke’s literal father. The possibility that Luke can fall to the dark side is present in his connection to Darth Vader. However, the reason Darth Vader does not get a full redemption arc in the original trilogy is that Luke is far more important a character being the main character.
As opposed to Eri who is just a side character, compared to the literal second most plot important character. Shigaraki is connected to the conflict with All for One which is the central conflict of the story, and he was born into it rather than Deku who inherited it from All Might. Shigaraki is connected to the idea that some people are not saved by Hero Society, and are victims who fall through the cracks and then grow up to be villains. Shigaraki is connected to the idea that some people’s quirks are not really able to fit into society if they are actively destructive and dangerous, that some people have more villainous quirks and are therefore stigmatized and not help. Shigaraki is connected to the conflict with Endeavor because Dabi is his right hand man. He was connected to the Stain conflict due to AFO pulling them together.
Finally, yes there are villains who like Shigaraki could have been saved but are defeated instead and their backstory only exists to make them a tragic character. Chisaki is the biggest example that I can think of, because he’s a heavy character foil to Shigaraki, they were both abandoned as children and picked up by father figures in crimminal syndicates who ultimately saw them as tools.
However, the difference between Chisaki and Shigaraki lies in the writing. Shigaraki has a character arc, and Chisaki does not. Shigaraki exists in several arcs and persists in the story, and Chisaki disappears after one arc. Which is the point, that what we’ve been shown makes the prospect of Shigaraki’s salvation more likely, because we’ve been shown he’s capable of growing and changing. Shigaraki, just like any character in the plot screws up and then when his screw ups explode in his face he learns and gets better.
Tumblr media
Shigaraki is introduced as a character who cares nothing at all about his allies, is fickle, gives up easily. He is almost exactly what All for One raised him to be, a symbol of fear, who kills for no reason, and seems to only exist to destroy and hurt others.
All for One’s intentions were to make Shigaraki someone with no positive emotions, someone with no positive qualities, no positive relationships. Someone who is only capable of hating, only lashing out in anger. Hanging onto those negative emotions completely stunted his growth and made him incapable of developing as a person.
Tumblr media
When he is first introduced, Shigaraki is not his own person but acting exactly as All for One wants him to be. However, the point of Shigaraki’s failure in not only this arc but the next arc is that Shigaraki is told again and again that his methods do not work. None of his allies want to work with him, he cannot make his plans work because he’s just attacking for the sake of attacking without an objective. He’s also entirely dependent on what All for One gives him, and can’t really accomplish anything on his own, and has to use the fallen king of evil’s vast amount of resources.
Tumblr media
He throws tantrums, he loses out on potential allies, he squanders resources on his petty little emotions. The point is not only does Shigaraki fail again and again, but it’s also something he’s consitently called out on. When he fails, he does not get the results he desires, and nobody coddles him for it.
Shigaraki is told that if he wastes his allies then he’ll be a failure by Kurogiri.
Tumblr media
Deku tells Shigaraki to his face that Stain is a better viallin then him, and more people believe in Stain, because he doesn’t give up that quickly, because he gives them something to believe in and a reason to fight.
Tumblr media
Shigaraki’s plan to kidnap Bakugo to find sympathizers completely blows up in his face (quite literally as well), and not only does Bakugo lecture him yet again, but he loses the one support system he had in All for One as a result of his failure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only does Shigaraki lose the security and infinite amount of redos that he had, he also feels the consequences to his actions for the first time.
Tumblr media
An intentional move on All for One’s part to make Shigaraki realize he is responsible for his own actions now, and cannot be like a child having their parental figure clean up all of their messes for them. A move that forces Shigaraki to grow up on his own.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s also no surprise that by the time that by the next time we cut to Shigaraki, he’s learned to value people more. After all, he’s now lost the one person he did have an attachment to in his life and he knows what that pain feels like. Not only does Shigaraki in the Chisaki arc get lectured and have his past failures held against him yet again as a person.
Shigaraki’s lack of a plan, and how much he let allies slip out of his hands in the past are both things that he is criticized for, and also something he faces a direct consequence for. Due to the fact that he was not enough on his own to bring Chisaki into line, in the resulting Melee in the league vs the Yakuza magne dies, and not only that Shigaraki also has to bow his head down to Chisaki and agree to work under him in order to get what he wants this arc.
Tumblr media
It’s at this point we see Shigaraki’s growth as a leader. He’s no longer someone who does not care about his allies, because he speaks to them on a personal level, and also takes responsibility for his failings and mistake. He’s learned the value of his allies, and how to speak with them. This is a complete 180 from the person who tried to kill Toga when she first met him because he annoyed her.
Tumblr media
However, his victory against the Yakuza and choosing to pursue personal vengeance over joining hands with the Yakuza is also something that has consequences for Shigaraki.
They are out of money, directionless, and his own allies are questioning him because he doesn’t make it clear what he wants to do for them, or what his goals are. Even though the League of Villains is close, they’re not sycophants like Kurogiri, so they don’t just unquestioningly do whatever he says or put up with him. They actively call him out.
Tumblr media
Not only that, but Shigaraki is called to prove himself yet again. He’s called out for accomplishing nothing, despite starting out with the vast amount of resources that All for One gave him. The league of Villains has notoriety and not much else, because at the moment it consists of a core group of homeless twenty year olds strapped for crash and stayin in a dump.
Tumblr media
However, Shigaraki’s character arc is not an arc that just develops him as a villain. He also develops as a person as well. Shigaraki himself is aware of the fact that even if he were to become the perfect king of the villains and All for One’s successor that’s not something that would satisfy him.
Tumblr media
Yes, characters are defined by their choices. Shigaraki can make choices now and those choices have meaning. But it’s also important to remember that there’s no such thing as a person with 100% free choices to define who they are. There are choices you get, and things that are chosen for you, and a lot of times especially in stories characters are defined by what they choose when given the choice.
Shigaraki has consistently chosen to value his allies, ask people to believe in him, connect on an emotional level, and even to try to save the people who are on his side when they are lost. These are not things All for One would choose, because All for One raised sycophants and disposable pawns. We see when Shigaraki is given the choice, he chooses to grow on his own to be a better person, despite being met with constant failure. At no point does he give up, or give in.
By being what All for One wants him to be, Shigaraki completely fails as a person. He only starts to grow and change for real when allowed to be his own person. When he grows independently from All for One, he shows positive character growth that a person who is supposedly past the point of no return should be incapable of.
Shigaraki at the start of the manga was an insane misanthrope with no social skills at all, who was fickle, gave up, barely tried, and just wanted to lash out.
Shigaraki now is a person who values his allies, is capable of planning for things in advance, has the determination to fight an impossible battle against an entire city for the sake of one ally, and was clever enough to actually win that fight. If Shigaraki cannot be saved, then why have we already seen him heal to this point? Why are we shown he is capable of change and improving as a person?
Shigaraki is constantly told how terrible he is and is forced to grow. The most Deku does is occasionally break his bones.
#2  Bakugo and Enji
Saying that Bakugo and Enji are characters more redeemable then Shigaraki is a pointless statement to me, because Enji and Bakugo are already tied thematically to Shigaraki’s plotline. You cannot have one without the other. You see, because Bakugo and Enji are both explorations of the idea that there’s more to being a hero than just punching villains.
Tumblr media
This is the ideal end point of Deku and Bakugo’s rivalry. That both of their ways of idealizing heroes are misguided, because Deku always hurts himself too much because he prioritizes saving others over his own safety, and Bakugo cannot save others because he is a hero mainly to be the strongest, and to defeat villains.
Which is one of the critiques of hero society that the story has offered, that there are heroes who are in it not to save other people, but to be the strongest. Which is an unhealthy attitude, because it leads to Bakugo bullying Deku for years over his fear that Deku was looking down on him, and Enji taking out his feelings of failure on his own family.
Tumblr media
Bakugo and Enji are not good heroes, specifically because they would never save someone like Shigaraki. Their priorities are not in helping victims to begin with, just beating up villains because they want to feel strong. If the story is thematically about saving others, it makes sense then that these two characters would be challenged to, yanno, save people.
If the Ultimate Ideal end of Bakugo and Deku’s relationship is someone who will always win, and save others, then it makes sense for Deku to grow into someone who would not lose to Shigaraki, but also someone who would refuse to see Shigaraki as a victim and be capable fo saving him.
Also, there’s almost a world of difference in the motivations between Bakugo + Enji and Shigaraki. Bakugo’s backstory is that everybody told him how special he was and he put too high expectations on himself. Now, that was mainly an oversimplication (I have done an entire post on how Bakugo pressuring himself is relatable and also his behavior is a failure on the part of the adults around him to reason with him and discipline him because he’s still a child, just check my mha meta tag)
The things which shaped Shigaraki into the person he became he had almost no control over. What happened to his family was a freak accident, All for One finding him was due to who his grandmother happened to be no fault on his part. He was basically raised in a basement and his only exposure to the outside world was when All for One sent him out to kill people.
Yet, despite being not responsible for a lot of things that turned him the way he was, Shigaraki takes a lot of personal responsibility for his growth. It is on Shigaraki to learn from his mistakes and right those things. When he fails, Shigaraki takes the brunt of the failure.
Yet, we have people like Enji who for the most part just blames the circumstances around him and does not change. The reason people want Shigaraki to get exploration as a character is because he does change, and he takes personal repsonsibility to improve himself and faces consequences for his action. Enji faces no consequences for his actions beyond the people he abused not liking him, and he still stays the same person. He still only values individual strength, he still fights by using flashy moves to defeat villains while critically endangering civillains.
Tumblr media
Bakugo is a kid, and he’s also learning to build bridges with Deku instead of repeating his behavior in the past, so he’s capable of change and resolving the conflict of his character that he can be a strong person good at defeating villains but that does not necessarily make him into a good hero.
Shigaraki has also demonstrated that he is a person capable of taking responsbility for his mistakes, and changing to be better. The reason he’s being explored as a character is because he can change.
Endeavor in his refusal to change far more fits the bill as a tragic example that you were trying to talk about in your response, because that’s how stories are written. Stories are all about development, and change.
