Singer House was designed by architect Pavel Suzor for the Russian branch of the Singer Sewing Machine Company. The Saint Petersburg building code did not allow structures taller than the Winter Palace. The architect found an elegant solution to the 23.5 meter height limit: the building is crowned with a glass tower, which in turn is topped by a glass globe sculpture created by Estonian artist Amandus Adamson. This tower creates the impression of a substantial elevation, but is subtle enough not to overshadow other highlights.

See the golden sea from the golden waters of Tampa Bay stretching out to the golden sunset barely making itself seeable in this surreal scene, where downtown Saint Petersburg Florida's skyline and buildings are not even visible behind the low lung moisture and clouds. You can see several boats out and about taking in the scene. A pontoon is turning from one channel to the next in front of home in Andalucia, the luxurious community opposite my blessed Symphony Isles neighborhood, where I took these photos from.
