Thoughts on Scratch Project
For the most recent assignment, we had to program a short project with "Scratch". I was always interested in IT-Stuff and was really fascinated when I learned in this class that it's actually possible and quite easy to programe a simple sequence without much background knowledge! Trying that out and finishing my project made me feel better about my technical skills and myself in general - and in the end, I think that's what teaching should be about, so I'm sure that the positive thoughts about this project would resonate with younger students as well. I definitely liked the idea of this assignment and am looking forward to what the other students came up with!

Best Scratch Games for Kids
Scratch is a great platform for kids to learn coding and programming concepts by creating interactive games and animations. Here are some of the best Scratch games for kids:
Pac-Man: A classic game that has been recreated in Scratch. Kids can create their own version of Pac-Man, complete with ghosts, power-ups, and a scoring system.
Flappy Bird: Another popular game that can be recreated in Scratch. Kids can design their own obstacles and levels, and add their own twists to the game.
Space Invaders: A space-themed game where players shoot down aliens before they reach the bottom of the screen. Kids can create their own spaceships, aliens, and power-ups.
Maze Runner: A game where the player navigates a maze to reach the end. Kids can design their own maze, add obstacles, and create a scoring system.
Pong: A simple game where players hit a ball back and forth across a screen. Kids can create their own paddles, ball physics, and scoring system.
Whack-a-Mole: A game where players must hit a series of moles as they pop up from holes. Kids can create their own moles, power-ups, and scoring system.
Brick Breaker: A game where players break bricks by bouncing a ball off a paddle. Kids can create their own bricks, power-ups, and levels.
These are just a few examples of the many games that can be created using Scratch. By experimenting with different game mechanics and designs, kids can learn important programming concepts like variables, loops, and conditionals, all while having fun and being creative.
