I have so many dumb little comics about Wynn (purple) and Frey (gold) that I wanna draw, but art is hard so it's slow going. This is them just making it to First Steps. They're so much fun to draw for some reason? I love them?

Also @mootablemimic and I have cooked up a really fun story arc for them that has me chewing on them like jerky.

Meet Frey and Wynn, a pair of tarnished whose souls are linked together, as they navigate The Lands Between in search of their... destiny? Or at least figuring out what the hell they're doing here, and why they were summoned by Grace and what to do about it.

Frey and Wynn are twins born of a noble house. Wynn always had a special interest and talent in magic, something considered taboo in the time and place they were from. He studied in secret, and their family tried to keep his crimes under wraps, but was ultimately doomed to fail.

Frey joined the church and faked piety in order to become a Confessor and have pull over what might happen to Wynn when their family ultimately disowned him and he was arrested for his heresy. She was the golden child of the two, but didn't truly give a damn about the nobility of their house, or really any of her family besides Wynn.

When he was arrested, she was allowed to become his gaoler, to keep him under control as her Prisoner. It worked about as well as to be expected, and the pair ultimately defected fully and on their escape were killed for their treason.

Then... some unknown time later, the call of Grace summoned them from death and they awoke together in the Lands Between.

Hi i worked really hard on this look at what I made please! I'm very proud of this.

It's my new starting soon/brb screen for stream as done as it can get, for now. I'll certainly be adding more to it, especially references to games I'm really fond of or have played on stream.

Based on an actual moment of gameplay between @mootablemimic and I. I just had to immortalize it with an in character moment between these two.

Also some background practice? I didn't trace it or anything, just went from reference, and with a single brush the whole time. Part of my goal with these comics(?) are to make myself practice random things. Sometimes its anatomy, sometimes its backgrounds. Maybe some perspective thrown in. Sometimes just making me FINISH something.

Maybe one day I'll practice panel layout.

Makes aus out of aus and suddenly they're codependent triplets in a killing game and Takara dies and Ramiel and Yusei go insane about it.

Specifically Yusei is having a breakdown and probably gonna kill someone about it, and Ramiel talks him down from doing some murders... yet. He wants to make sure they get everyone responsible for Takara's death, including the mastermind. It wouldn't do to go off.

Rami's normally very somft and sweet. But if anything happens to Takara, whoever is responsible had better start preparing their will. :)

"That nasty fellow out here won't come this way unless you bother them, so you're safe in here."

Wynn looks up to the stars glittering brightly above them, then to his sister, one eyebrow raised.

Her lip twitches in response, a silent agreement that the lack of walls and ceiling don't inspire much confidence, but she maintains a serious expression as she responds to the red-clad merchant. "We'd like to stay the night, get our bearings here."

"Of course. Would you mind if I play a while?" He indicates the instrument in hand. "I find it helps pass the time."

The two take Kale up on the offer, but they're not ready to outright trust this stranger, and so decide to sleep in shifts themselves.

Frey chats with him a while as the night grows dark, Wynn sleeping soundly beside her. They talk a while, Kale tells her of the nomadic merchants and their rejection from grace, and Frey tells him a little of her and Wynn's former life.

Wynn jolts awake, but after his initial outburst, doesn't truly recall why...? But afterwards he starts to get a sense of where they should go, one even stronger than the grace of gold does normally.

@mootablemimic and I have decided that, since I've played through Elden Ring before and she hasn't, Wynn has some kind of foreknowledge of things that are going on that leads him and Frey around the map. This will let me share some of the sillier moments that we've had playing coop adapted for these two. Plus it's fun for drama!
