>Continued from here ( @unatobajhiri )
With arms folded, Sebha’to stares up at the intruder with an unamused expression. He knows, though, that all Una’to likes to do is play games. Tonight would be no different. “I’d much prefer you got straight to the point. I know that you don’t harass anyone else like you do me. Surely it has nothing to do with believing my friends and I are just your playthings, hm?” The sarcasm in his words is fully palpable now.
“You and I both know exactly what you were planning. I traded one betrayal for another. You like trades, don’t you?” Sebha’to looked him up and down. Strangely, his eyes looked normal in the dream - their old pale lavender, before his corruption began. “I suppose you’ll have to get used to my boring dreams if you keep wandering in here. I don’t intend to change them.” Not that he could - though he wouldn’t bring that up to Una’to, of all people.
At the last question he cants his head, though his stern gaze doesn’t change. “Hm? Which friend? I haven’t been told anything. You aren’t exactly subtle with your intrusions. Besides, you know exactly what you will get if you keep going in here.”

“Well, I doubt that any of them would be in the Forelands, this time of the year...” His mind seems to have moved on from trying to figure out Una’to’s odd sickness, fortunately for the other Keeper. “If I wait too long, though, they will be. So it’d be best to cover my scent then.” He’d shrug, after that. “... Maybe I’ll ask my sister what she thinks, too. She hunted more than I did.”
He looked back to Una’to with a small smile. “Yeah, you’re right. Um... Do I owe you anything, for the reading?” He’s completely unaware that he might have already ‘paid’ with whatever secrets Una’to has sussed out from him. “And... If we hang out some more, you can talk to me, too. It’s the least I could do for having you listen to me ramble all night.”

It’s Nice to See You Finally...
Continuation from >> HERE <<
@skyysinger - I am sorry to torment your poor precious bean with this bastard >.>
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There was a gently tsking to come out of the Au Ra as he shifted ever so carefully around the side of the shorter Miqo’te, his movement very liquid and elegant with it. Obviously given the choice in clothing that he wore he was no doubt one of the various dancers and entertainers found within the city. It showed with how he moved obviously... and once he was at the Keepers side he was leaning carefully against the desk “Working so much in that condition? You should have stayed in bed to rest...” the man let out... almost sounding concerned as he looked the Keeper up and down ever so carefully.
This had to be him... he was sure of it. The features matched those that had been burnt into his mind since the day of his... curse. Rather, since he was forced to maintain this disgusting form and walk with the mortals of this world. As much as he didn’t want to, Toshinaku remembered the day more than a little vividly...
He had been caught off guard and had been resting when that rather intense Holy Spell had struck him and rendered him completely immobile. Of course the follow up with a proper helping of Stone IV made it worse. It caused him to be rendered vulnerable and of course that’s how the seals were placed on his form without too much trouble... he could only assume that the reason this was the form chosen was likely due to the Keepers fear and potential panic with the situation that had been thrusted upon him.
Carefully Toshi brought his hand up and rested his chin on it, letting those opal-moonstone like scales of his glitter in the remaining light of the guild as he continued to observe Sebha’to curiously. Would he be capable of reversing the seals? Or was it potentially not possible if the keeper had placed them on him in a blind panic and didn’t remember? Thoughts that plagued the Voidsents mind now that he had finally found the little Keeper. Of course he grinned ever so slightly at the quick ‘Who are you’ that came out of Sebha’to’s mouth and he tilted his head some “Do you not remember me? Shame... I figured that I would be hard to forget little clan mate...”

"O-Oh...”
Continuation from >> HERE <<

Tumblr media
Honestly it was hard to really offend the Au Ra, at least when it came to most things. There were obvious things that could offend him but well, these weren’t those things. It showed well how far Jacques had come and just how... mellow and toned down he’s gotten ever since finding his freedom and those he considered family. His attention turned as he heard Sebha’to letting out that quiet purr and resting against him... a gentle smile crossing his features as he just continued doing what he was doing.
If it helped to comfort the Keeper then he’d keep doing it. But he heard how the Miqo’te spoke and he couldn’t help but given him a worried frown. Wounds that run so deep were always the hardest to speak about. And while he could certainly speak about the way he’d gotten his scars he understood just how hard it could be to talk about it. Especially when a wound still feels so fresh even if it’d been years ago.
“You know that I am never going to push you to tell me anything... you also know that I am patient and willing to wait until you are ready to talk.” the man let out softly, his voice only slightly stern but that was because he was worried “And you also know that you will have all the comfort in the world when that time comes. I’m patient enough to wait until you want to talk about it... and I’m patient enough still if it never comes to light the trauma you endured. You do not have to tell me anything Sebha’to...”
He wanted to make it clear to the Keeper that he didn’t need to tell him anything... that he didn’t need to share with him anything about his past or anything about himself either. The main thing was that Sebha’to was happy and comfortable and if that meant never finding out then he was fine with that. Jacques let out a low sigh as he looked to a side... “You’re... afraid of what might happen if I did find out aren’t you?”
The question almost came out of nowhere but he could pick apart the Keepers brain easily enough and he knew how Sebha’to was for the most part. Too kind for his own good at times... and he knew how bad that could be for those who showed too much kindness. Plus... Sebha’to had so many issues that he worried about what he might be doing to the Keeper. Jacques was... well far different and he worried about the way he affected others he knew because of what he was. How he was...
No doubt the Keeper would be able to pick up on the fact that the Au Ra’s mind was wandering because the grim expression that came across his face. The question alone should have been a clear sign that he was... well hating himself in a way, but the expression just added to it. He was a monster... he didn’t deserve these friends in his life. Slowly his attention shifted back as he felt those fingers tracing over the scar on his chest and he listened to what Sebha’to had to say.
“I know... and if you ever want to ask anything about me then you are more than welcome to. I’m willing to answer...” that was his remark as he just closed his eyes and rested his chin on the top of the Miqo’te’s head. He felt exhausted... likely because his mind was doing it’s thing again with the hate and self loathing... the thoughts of being the monster that he always had been “Though I worry that you would run from the monster that I truly am if I ever told you the full story...”

Note
8 and 19 for ship asks (Sebha'to is VERY self-conscious)
What amuses me is that you already know the answer to some of these.
Tumblr media
8. How does one comfort the other when the other is in distress/having a panic attack/crying
In current experience, P’shali is the one most likely to be crying or having a panic attack, though everyone in the squad seems to have their respective issues that lead to breakdowns, and they all have their own ways of comforting.  Speaking from P’shali’s perspective alone, Sebha’to ( @skyysinger lol) is good at bringing him back from an autistic meltdown by giving him what he needs at the moment (such as blankets, pressure therapy with hugs, and just talking him through his worries) and is a patient as all hell even when P’shali says dumb stuff that could potentially be upsetting to anyone that doesn’t know him.  Swath ( @theaetherhealerffxiv ) is patient and a good listener, letting him vent his worries and reassuring him, sometimes with a bit of help from Sophia.  Jacques ( @thedarkestdragonknight ) is the sort that wants to punch the bad things to make it go away for daring to hurt his loved ones, but at the same time his first reaction is to comfort and reassure his partners, and likely to just sit them down and cook them tasty treats to help soothe the hurt in the meanwhile so they can cope with their feelings.
P’shali tries to emulate all of these, he looks up to the others with a great amount of respect as well as affection, and while his default is trying to make things to people to hopefully make them happy, he tries his hardest to let them know that they are loved.
Tumblr media
19. Is one of them self conscious about their body? If so how does the other comfort them
Again, I think they all are to some extent.  Jacques has issues with his past as a Garlean experiment and test subject, and the scars (physical and emotional) are pretty noticeable.  Swath has some varying insecurities with his body depending on his fluctuating gender identity, and Sebha’to (as you already mentioned) has some serious self-conscious feelings going on due to being trans and trying to find ways to feel comfortable with his own body.  P’shali is probably the least self-conscious about his body, he’s actually pretty alright with his body as it is, which makes it hard for him to relate and understand at times, though that doesn’t keep him from trying.
As for comforting, the same answers as above apply: they all have their own ways of trying to help comfort each other.  This is probably one area where P’shali’s crafting skills are able to shine through; P’shali goes out of his way to make clothes for Swath and Sebha’to to help them feel comfortable with their gender presentation, and he makes clothing and armor for Jacques that he thinks will help him with his own issues, as well as alchemical concoctions to help calm him down if he feels a panic attack coming on.
Heck, the whole thing with making clothing for Sebha’to and Swath actually has P’shali wondering if he should focus on making custom clothing for trans customers--he does it a lot already, he’s getting practice.  If anything, they’re his inspirations for it.

Trespasser
Tumblr media
>Continued from here ( @unatobajhiri )
Sebha’to’s gaze stayed down and away from Una’to as he passed by, his ears still folded back against his head. For someone who claimed to be a monster, he’d been nice enough... until the end. Until Sebha’to’s own emotions overwhelmed him and spilled out. He did, at least, remember that much. He didn’t say a word in response, knowing that any objections wouldn’t be accepted. He felt more and more like he was only making poor excuses, and that no one wanted to hear him. The frustration of it all still ate at him, and he was doing a terrible job of keeping that in, as well.
He numbly followed Una’to to the threshold, but stopped at the edge. It was even worse seeing the sea of blood up close. He looked back to Una’to as he explained his own reasons for wanting to know, before glancing away once more. He was sure that the Forest and Toshinaku hadn’t meant to suppress his memory like that. He honestly wondered if they’d done it, or if it was simply the stress of the trip that had. There wasn’t really any way to tell. He still remains quiet, catching himself staring down at the edge, where stone met blood.
He’d done worse things, hadn’t he? Stupider things. But that was all in the name of helping someone else. No one was in trouble here, as far as he could tell. He could go on about his life without knowing what truly happened, if he wanted. Una’to wasn’t going to force him. He could say no. Despite the explanation, he found himself faltering still, anxious over what he’d see and learn.
“I-I...... I’ll try Light aether,” he finally mumbles out. “I c-covered the stain with a rug, so... it’s n-not visible. So there’s that...” His eyes still haven’t lifted from the surface. In many ways, this was the ‘old’ Sebha’to that Una’to would remember, before any of his run-ins with Toshinaku and the Forest.
Finally... “... D... Does it... Does it hurt?...” He might be stalling, but... In truth, he was still a bit too anxious to step in on his own.

It takes him a few moments to regain his bearings. One of his ears twitches, and his mind takes a moment or two to catch up to everything Una’to said to him... or try, at least. “I’ll ask them,” he finally murmurs. “Even if it’s not their doing, it never hurts to have another person help me think through things...” He glanced up at Una’to, his brows furrowing slightly as he watched the other Keeper look over him.
“... I don’t... I don’t despise you.” He looks away again, feeling slightly embarrassed, for some reason. “I only feel... I... I’m not sure how I feel. Maybe ashamed.” Of course, he’d already explained why. No use going over it again. “Perhaps being away from my dream is having an effect... It might be best if I return.” With that, he moves to push himself back up to his feet. He staggers slightly when he does so, still feeling a bit disoriented and unbalanced. “Don’t worry so much about the other dream. I tend to feel peaceful when I’m in the woods. It’s quiet, and I just wander... And thank you, for spending time with me. Knowing Toshi and the Forest, it... might be difficult to see me again, at least here.” ... Not that Una’to cared.
Though, his mind trails off to thoughts of Frey lurking in the streets of Ul’dah. It wouldn’t be long before they came to harass him again, he was sure... He sighed softly, wondering if he’d ever get a peaceful work day again. Then, he shakes his head...
“Una’to... Considering what you told me about the Library...... Stay safe in there, okay?...” He looks to his ‘clan-mate’, with a very familiar, worried expression on his face. “We might be at odds right now, but... I know there are many who care deeply for you.”

The Second Reading
>Continued from here (( @unatobajhiri ))
Tumblr media
There’s a long moment after Una’to finishes his reading where Sebha’to doesn’t say a word in response. His gaze is distant, his dark eyes staring somewhat in the direction of where the cards were placed on the table. It almost feels like an eternity passes, before he finally speaks up again, and when he does, he doesn’t bother to ‘snap out’ of whatever depressive state he seems to be in now. Even when Una’to puts his deck back in his pocket, he doesn’t look away.
“You can still do that one, if you wish,” he finally murmurs, his voice quiet. “I do have questions. Just like last time.” There’s another pause. His gaze finally moves, down and to the side, though his face has the same blank expression and his ears are still a bit too low to be ‘neutral’. At least he’s actually talking.
“What is it that I should be contemplating? I cannot help but feel rather empty at present. Kind of like I’ve been ripped open.” That might have been a bit of a subtle jab, though his words are too flat, and have no emphasis put on them. “What kind of choice lies ahead of me?” He only hopes the answer to the second question isn’t the thought that immediately presents itself in his mind.

The Second Reading
>Continued from here (( @unatobajhiri ))
Tumblr media
“It still seems odd to me... If someone will betray you, and you them, and you both know it, can you truly call each other friends?” As he asks, though, he feels a slight pit form in his chest. He certainly feels regret over what he’s done, but... He wonders if that only stems from the part of himself that’s too kind. Toshi always told him he was. He sighs after thinking about that, though, his mind now going back to Frey’s words earlier. Judging from his pained expression, their words hurt him even now.
“They said I should leave before you woke up, earlier. They asked if I was making everything worse on purpose. If I truly wished to see you to the Library safe or if I were just here to hurt you and make myself feel better. We’d been fighting and I’ve been... Well, I’m not handling it well.” Now it’s impossible for him to meet Una’to’s gaze, his hands no longer stroking his fur but starting to pick at it instead. “They... They caught me by surprise, I... I couldn’t answer them. It just... hurt a lot... to hear them take my... my emotions and...” His voice starts to crack. He stops himself, visibly chewing into his lip to try and calm down. It takes a few long moments before he can speak again. “Then, to add insult to injury, after I’d plainly said they had hurt me, they apologized as if they had no idea what they had done to me. If... If anything that’s the part I’m most upset over! I said it out right, did they not hear me?”
He realizes, suddenly, that his hands have balled into fists, uncomfortably tugging at and twisting up the fur on his tail. He has to force himself to let go, to try and return to stroking his fur instead of tangling it. “... I’m sorry. You don’t need to hear that. You’re full of woes already, you don’t need mine as well.” He takes a few breaths to try to calm down further, and continue speaking with Una’to for as long as the tentative peace between them will last.
“I-I... I guess they could counteract my magic with their huntresses’ tracking and stealth... They would know that they’d have a better chance getting to me if they separate me from you and Frey. They would never confront us head-on, that would mean we could see the threat in front of our faces and defend against it. Of course... they knew me and my abilities from before I was exiled... by all rights, I should be much stronger now that I have guild training...” The distraction from his earlier train of thought seemed to be helping in calming him down.
“I’m sorry, I just... I guess it’s another thing I don’t understand. I know you explained to me why you have the coffin, it just seems... strange to me, still.” He sighs, thinking things over again. “... maybe I could ask if you can use the needle on yourself one last time. If it’s just the sample you need... I... I’m sorry, I truly am.” His thoughts are starting to jumble together. “I know that you don’t want to hear another word about him. I just... I...” He fidgets with his sleeves now, picking at the seams on his cuffs. He doesn’t know how else to explain or if Una’to even wants to hear an explanation. It probably just sounds like piles and piles of excuses to him.
He’s quiet a little while longer as he listens to Una’to, and thinks about the information he’s being given. Wondering what this mysterious ‘thing’ in the library is, and why it’s so dangerous to both of them. And why was Una’to looking for it in the first place? It seemed like a really bad idea. Of course, he probably had his own reasons for doing so... reasons that he most likely wouldn’t understand anyway, just like him not trusting people he considered friends, or owning a coffin in his apartment. Finally, though, he nods, at the mention of payment... but Una’to’s last statement bothers him slightly, making him wonder still just how much he knows.
“Well... For the secret, then. The deepest secret I have is... that I am not like most men.” His gaze is focused on the table between them as he speaks. “I was born a different person entirely... And I was supposed to grow up to become the next leader of my branch. Mother trained me for it herself.” Una’to, as a Keeper, would be able to put those pieces together. “When Rho and I went through our coming-of-age I... I decided to get the markings I wanted, to fit who I truly was. Of course, that... that would reveal the truth to everyone. And everyone knows that a male Keeper can’t lead a tribe.” He takes a steadying breath, his hands still picking at the threads holding his sleeves together. “Mother attacked me. She was furious. Rho intervened, and they fought... and then she exiled us. We were only 15 winters when we left Coerthas.” He pauses then, to gauge how his ‘secret’ would be received by Una’to.

Checking In
>Continued from here (( @thelivingforestserpent ))
Tumblr media
The silence told volumes. Sebha’to worried for him... he missed him dearly. Honestly, he wanted nothing more at that moment than to curl up with him and go back to sleep. The Forest’s emotions washed over him, and after a moment he shut his eyes, taking a deep breath through his nose. In an instant he could see the dark scales and serpentine form before him, followed by those glowing eyes over a dark, shimmering pool.
“Well, you call him ‘your’ Zoh’a all the time...” He couldn’t help but chuckle, softly. The answer Shodraxz gave him was not what he wanted to hear, but... nothing could really be done at the moment except for waiting. “... I’m glad you’re here. Though I doubt you would have allowed me to continue alone... Your presence helps ease my mind.” Another deep breath. He was calm, and technically, ‘communing’... just not with the Elementals, this time.
He decided he wanted a distraction, however brief it would be. “... Does this mean that I am yours, too?”

Do you Regret What you Did?
>Continued from Here (( @unatobajhiri ))
He snarled, his eyes thinning. “More proof that you never cared. I do not know your emotionsss and you do not know mine. Are you the only one allowed to guessss?” Then, he scoffed, that vicious scowl still lingering on his lips. “I’ve had enough. Enough of your liesss, enough of your gamesss. I’m taking Bha’to, and I’m leaving. You never wanted him here anyway, surely you will not missss him!”
With that, he turned to leave, paying no attention to Una’to or anything else he had to say. He made it a few steps before stopping, suddenly, wobbling as if he’s terribly off-balance, and then promptly dropping onto the floor, dangerously close to the open hearth he’d been standing by. He’s still for a very long moment, barely even breathing, before he finally began to stir once more.
Tumblr media
Sebha’to only managed to rise to a knee before he wheezed and hacked, covering his mouth with a shaking hand. The first thing he could sense was a growing disturbance in the aether, frighteningly close to himself. His eyes traveled upward, eventually meeting Una’to’s gaze (If Una’to watched him, that is) - they’d turned back to their typical lavender, albeit... perhaps slightly darker.
He took a deep, shaky breath through his nose, and exhaled out of his mouth, attempting to steady himself. Worryingly, his mouth and lips were stained black... A little more worryingly, he didn’t say a word for several moments more, looking as if he were quite ashamed of himself. Finally, though, his voice just above a whisper, he managed, “Don’t... Try to find him. For your sake as well as mine... Please.”

Do you Regret What you Did?
Tumblr media
>Original Post Here (( @unatobajhiri ))
“How ssstrange... Do you mean to sssay that you don’t remember me, Na’to?” he hissed, in a way that might be familiar to Una’to. His lips curled down into a steep frown, and his nails began to dig into the sleeves of his robe. In fact, his hands were trembling just slightly, though it wasn’t yet clear exactly what was causing it. “You call me a parasssite without thinking about what you did? What we did, together? Surely it mussst not be that hard to remember.”
His eyes thinned. He could feel Sebha’to’s worry and fear within him but for now... He held the reins. He was in control. “Let me be clear, Na’to... You’ve hurt him far more than I ever did.”

Note
There would be a quiet, gentle intrusion to come for to the Keepers mind as a particular being had felt a particular need to reach out. In Sebha'to's mind he would see those intense silverish glowing eyes shrouded in a red ring, dozens of them all staring into the deepest parts of the Keepers mind (You know who this is from >>)
Tumblr media
Sebha’to sits in front of a warm fire, waiting. They would depart the outpost soon, and begin their long trek across malms of snow and ice to Dravania, and part of him still wished he’d taken the offer to go home. They wouldn’t have let him leave without the item Toshi wanted him to take, though, so... it was a no-go. Besides, he’d wanted to help... even if now he was completely miserable.
Tumblr media
Then he senses a familiar presence... It seemed he wouldn’t be alone today, at least. He knew who was watching as soon as he saw the eyes in the back of his mind. Though he felt under intense scrutiny, he knew that the Forest wouldn’t hurt him. It was only worried... and would soon be outraged, he was sure, over how upset he’d been, what had happened to him the previous day, the things that had been said to him... He allowed the Forest to take in his memories, to see everything it wanted to see through his own eyes.
After a few quiet moments, Sebha’to quietly asked... “Has our Zoh’a woken up yet?”

“Stop!” He almost hisses, his ears flattening as he swats at Una’to’s hand. “Must you always pinch my ears? They’re sensitive!” Then he huffs, folding his arms, and staring quite sternly at Una’to.
“You said you were looking for something. Is that all, or is there more to it?” He carefully avoids the ‘why’ question, feeling a bit petulant. “You’ve already refused my help on it, so I won’t push any further on that.” Not to mention the ‘loss of life’ comment. He really didn’t want that to happen, as much as he knew it was necessary for Una’to and others like him to survive.

I had a feeling you broke.
>Continued from here (( @unatobajhiri ))
Tumblr media
There was no missing that flinch, and no mistaking that absolutely horrifying aura about him. He’d waited too long, hadn’t he? In between Starlight, his companions away with their own business, and working at the guilds, he’d had to push aside his other plans just to stay on top of his regular tasks. Despite it all, Una’to was still trying his very very best to pretend that everything was okay. His eyes flitted over what showed of his face, noting how pale he was, glancing at his hands to see if they were shaking.
They were alone in the halls. No one would eavesdrop on them - everyone else was either still working in the guild hall or already gone. He took a breath, trying to gather his thoughts.
“Wh-what brings you to the guild today?” His voice trembled. He definitely feared the answer, this time. But... if Una’to wanted to pretend things were okay, still, then... He would try. And fail, miserably. He could feel his ears drooping already.

Let Me Help You.
>Continued from here (( @unatobajhiri ))
Tumblr media
He looked his clan mate over very carefully as he answered, deflecting a bit in his usual way. He couldn’t see aether, thankfully, but he could definitely sense it - and Una’to’s aether felt worse than it ever had before. That, and...
“You never wear your mask inside. At least, you haven’t around me.” His ears drooped as his brows furrowed with worry. “And... I’m sorry to say it, but your presence feels absolutely dreadful. It’s... almost like an itch, and a twist in my stomach.” He couldn’t make eye contact well with that mask on, but he’d certainly try, and as he did so, Una’to might begin to suffer from that saddened expression of his once more.
“Please, tell me the truth. Did something happen to you?” His voice was soft, and he almost feared the answer he might get.
