I was thinking about WOL outfits and what not, so here's a question:
And to elaborate on the difference between option 1 and option 2, a brief explanation of my interpretations under the cut:
Illusion magic only masks the true appearance of an item, bending the light aether around the item to make it look different to the naked eye. No physical properties of the armour changes. It maintains its original dimensions and weight. If your WOL was wearing full plate armour then glamoured it to something more revealing, if someone tried to stab an exposed area, their knife would stop on impact of the concealed armour.
Transformation magic will fully alter the physical appearance of the armour into the applied glamour. It will take on the shape and structure of the WOL's desired form, but the properties of the materials used will be maintained. The high grade metal of the armour will be altered to a state where it was like a woven thread. The item would provide the same degree of protection as the original where it physically exists in its glamoured state. If your WOL glamoured their plate armour into a the street wear top, their actual abdomen could be pierced by weapon. Because this is magic you could fudge the physics if you so choose or say there's a secondary spell involved; but I'd imagine that if the transformation was completely lossless, your glamoured item will weight the same amount as the un-glamoured version. (Otherwise it would be more like a transmutation which is a lossy conversion and not reversible. The WOL turned their new savage tier BIS armour into a hempen camise and lost 95% of the material in the process. When they dispel the glamour they have that hempen camise's amount of the original armour piece.)
That's my take on the two options! I don't know if either of them really contradict any canon in-game explanations to the glamour system tbh. It's been so long since I picked up the intro quest and the only time I remember glamours being used as a plot device it was in the ARR Hildebrand quest line (I think the very end or within the coliseum arc, either way I'm not doing all that just to check and see that it says nothing of note)

Infancy: Kly’s mother had complications during Kly’s year long gestation. Kly wasn’t absorbing nutrients from what her mother ate, instead leeching off her life force, showing a propensity for magic even then. Her mother never really recovered and thus died shortly after giving birth. Kly was very small and frail when she was finally born. She was, for the most part, raised by a caretaker, as her father wanted nothing to do with her.
Childhood: When Kly’s magical talents began to manifest, she was sent to the Aen Saevherne. This was her purpose for being born, as breeding is very selective and intentional among the Aen Elle. Everyone is born with a duty in mind. She spent the majority of her life with the Aen Saevherne, being conditioned into a child soldier and tactician. She and many other children endured abuse and torture under the guise of training. Many didn’t survive the process. They were deemed weaknesses and failures. Failure wasn’t an option.
Adulthood: On the cusp of her adulthood, Kly underwent her tests to become a fully fledged Aen Saevherne. However, her beliefs regarding the Hen Ichaer and her inability to use and create interdimensional portals led to her failure. She was now without purpose, as she’d failed at the thing she’d been born for. She was dumped into the military ranks after that, serving under her father, a General. When Kly’s father was killed during a skirmish with the unicorns, she was left orphaned. Her noble family ended with her. To keep up appearances and use Kly politically, King Auberon forced her into being a consort. By this time, he was too old to be interested in any sort of sexual relationship and he wanted no child with her because of her failures. Auberon was completely withdrawn from his duties, so Kly was left to run the kingdom while he forced her to create illusions for him, allowing him to relive past memories.
It wasn’t until Crevan and Eredin brought the human girl Ciri to Tir na Lia that her life began to change drastically. By this time, she had taken on all political duties to compensate for Auberon’s apathy towards ruling and towards his people. She vehemently disagreed with the idea of using Ciri as a vessel to reintroduce Elder Blood to the Aen Elle line. However, Auberon was willing to consider the idea. The fact that he was so openly willing to give the human girl a child and not her made her more bitter than ever. Unable to impregnate Ciri, he was given an aphrodisiac laced with poison, killing him. A coup was taking place, so, knowing she would likely be blamed or killed, Kly took the royal torc’h and fled. She used a random interdimensional portal and ended up stranded on the human world.
It took her several years to adapt and blend in with the other species, but once she did, she worked mostly as a travelling healer. However, she spent much of that time barely surviving, never escaping poverty or danger. It wasn’t until a brothel offered her a deal that she saw a way to advance in the world she found herself in. Her aptitude for illusions came in handy here, as she could trick clients into thinking they had amazing sex when in fact they just sat on a bed for an evening. However, the Wild Hunt still searches for her and what she took from them.
Enemies: Eredin, Caranthir, Crevan (Avallac’h) (she considers him to be the one responsible for the king’s death), the Wild Hunt in general, humans, unicorns
Health: In Tir na Lia, Kly is considered a healthy, fertile female of reproductive age. However, in the Aen Sidhe world, she has no immunity to the foreign bodies there. She’s extremely susceptible to illness and gets sick easily. If she’s not careful, a simple cold could kill her.
Allergies: She’s severely allergic to wyvern blood. Anything with wyvern components in it that she ingests will cause anaphylaxis.
Mental Health: For the most part, Kly has adjusted to living in the Aen Sidhe world. Even to becoming a second-class citizen instead of being royalty. She can sometimes become paranoid and has problems with self loathing and failure and making personal relationships and connections with others.
Attitude: Look up bitchy ra.cist in the dictionary, and you’ll find the entire Aen Elle species. Kly is no different. Like most of her kind, she is very haughty and stuck up. Even among her own kind, she had a reputation for being a cruel tyrant. She has improved since becoming stranded on the Aen Sidhe world, though she still struggles with it. It’s hard to see humans as slaves and less than animals when she lives among them and starts caring about them.
Wardrobe: When she works, Kly wears very elf-inspired clothing. It’s always a light material and is revealing without being completely obscene. Outside of work, she usually wears commoner’s clothing. Whatever will help her blend in. Back on her world, she always wore very elaborate, ornamental clothing and armor. She had a massive wardrobe befitting her station. Because of the tropical climate, the clothing was sheer and flowing.
Mode of Dress: Kly wears her clothes like she’s in a second skin. She has learned to appear confident even if she may not be and carries herself and her wardrobe in that same fashion whether she’s on the job or wearing peasant’s clothes.
Grooming: She’s very picky about her hygiene and grooming and is rather demanding when it comes to maintaining it. She keeps herself very clean, bathing at every opportunity, and she keeps her hair and skin well kept even when she finds herself in less than amicable circumstances. Back home, her grooming regimen could take hours, but now she doesn’t have such a luxury as time.
Scars: Kly has a raised scar on her throat from an assassination attempt. She also has a burn scar she got from frostbite when she came in contact with the White Frost.
Posture: She carries herself as one of noble birth and high rank which is considered unusual among Aen Sidhe elves and common folk in general thereby giving her away in many cases. She walks confidently, like she owns the very ground she walks on and is considered graceful.
Scent: She smells like black currant and vanilla
Makeup: She wears eye kohl and blush when she works. Sometimes she will use a glamour if she has blemishes or bruising. Outside of working, she usually prefers to go without makeup or other painting. Sometimes she will use magic to hide her ears or make them look human while she’s traveling.
Possessions: Kly has everything she owns in a single bag so she can easily run if the Wild Hunt catches up to her. She has several books, some clothes, a small amount of money and the torc’h she took when she left her world.
Skills/Talents: Kly is a master when it comes to illusions. She can trick the mind and body into feeling and/or seeing almost anything. She’s also a skilled healer.

Flaws: Kly is stuck up and will underestimate all other races. She has problems being sincere or getting close to others. She has very limited physical strength and stamina to speak of when it comes to combat, and her use of magic is limited on the human world because it lacks the magical resources the Aen Elle world has.

Education: Kly was essentially raised as child soldiers are. She endured a great deal or abuse and torture under some of the wisest of her kind to become an Aen Saevherne. Even though she failed her tests to become one of the Aen Saevherne, her education is very advanced and nuanced. She’s skilled in healing and illusion magic, military strategy, her kind’s history, the lineages of her people and eug.enics as those subjects are expected to be known among the Aen Saevherne.
Morals: Kly has no morals. Morals were beaten out of her at a young age. All she cared about is the well-being and advancement of her people. However, the longer she lives on the human world, the harder it is to be so cold and cruel.
Fears: Kly fears capture by the Wild Hunt, as she knows that they will kill her if they find her. There have already been a few assassination attempts by Aen Elle spies. She also fears the White Frost. She saw its destructive abilities first hand as a child and it traumatized her. It’s why she hates being cold.

Delirium is a terrible but worryingly enjoyable (very) late entry in the Italian giallo cycle. It is also a frighteningly prophetic movie. While it retains enough of the hallmarks of its Italian genre forbears to remain identifiably a giallo, Delirium also clearly points to the forthcoming cultural nightmare of the American cable TV style “erotic thrillers” of the 1990s, which in retrospect were neither erotic nor thrilling. These dismal American exercises in coy peekaboo tedium all starred Shannon Tweed and were about as erotic as sorting the recycling in the rain. They possessed plots so featureless they might in fact all have been the same movie, just edited differently and given a different title (Animal Longings, Nocturnal Emissions, Nocturnal Longings, Animal Emissions, Nocturnal Animals, oh wait…).  I don’t know much about them beyond that because I was busy playing Quake and they were, well, dull; Delirium is anything but dull. Delirium is ridiculous, misogynistic, stupid, and on at least two occasions astoundingly Guinness Book of Records level nuts, but it is rarely ever dull. Delirium is either better than you think or worse than you think, or both. Whatever, it’s definitely something.

Gloria (Serena Grandi; chesty) is an ex-“glamour” model who has used the money from her husband’s recent death to empower herself by moving into publishing. In a strikingly feminist move Gloria has chosen to publish the same kind of glossy booberama she used to appear in; it’s called Pussycat, because classy never goes out of fashion. Her next door neighbour is Mark (Karl Zinny; overwrought), a young man confined to a wheelchair after a car accident in which his fiancé died. He peeps on the Pussycat photoshoots Gloria stages poolside, and frequently rings Gloria up to tell her how hard she makes him and how much he wants to “invade her flower”, because contrary to reports romance isn’t dead. Kim (Katrine Michelsen; expendable), Gloria’s friend is, however, very dead; stabbed by a pitchfork in front of Mark’s creepy peepers. Gloria thinks Mark’s having her on since no body is found, but then photos arrive showing Kim’s corpse posed in front of a blown up photo of Gloria’s chest, and when Kim herself turns up in a skip Inspector Corsi (Lino Salemme; macho) is called in to look virile and get everything wrong.

Delirium being a giallo first and a cinematic spank mag second, the dead bodies accumulate faster than the glimpses of skin, and almost as fast as the red herrings. Basically, the race is on to unmask the killer before everybody in the movie is dead. Mark saw the killer had long blonde hair so is the killer Gloria’s blonde haired assistant Evelyn (Daria Nicolodi; too good for this)? But Kim was posed in front of an old photoshoot only Roberto (David Brandon; again, too good for this) has access to, so it must be him right? Yet Roberto claims the negatives were stolen, so maybe it’s Flora (Capucine; think an evil Sybil Danning) who is trying to wrest the magazine from Gloria, who Flora feels owes her one since she saved Gloria and her brother from “the street”. Or maybe it’s Gloria’s brother Tony (Vanni Corbellini) who can’t get it up for ‘80s pop footnote Sabrina? Gloria bumps into an old flame, Alex (George Eastman; rugged), who can get it up, as we see in a scene where he humps Gloria’s thigh in the bath while she shakes about a bit, but Alex proves elusive after his comeback hump so maybe it’s him? There are so many suspects I even forgot to mention Mark, but then he can’t walk, so it can’t be him. Or can he, so can it? Or something?

Delirium’s mystery is enjoyably daft, and despite the flat lighting, terrible music and capable but unadventurous direction you will find yourself trying to guess who the killer is, as though you are watching something that actually might make sense. This is the fundamental magic of giallo; it tramples the boundaries of sanity so enchantingly that to not go along with it would leave you feeling like a sour faced party pooper. Delirium is trash, yes; but it’s magnificently, unapologetically trashy. Now, you can either take my word on that and watch the movie and have your mind blown harder than a sailor on shore leave, or you can read on where there be SPOILERS for the twin trash highpoints of Delirium.

For connoisseurs of the bizarre there are two great reasons to watch Delirium, and no, that’s not a set up for a very poor joke about the physical talents of the well upholstered star Serena Grandi. At one point Kim, smoking by a swimming pool, without any whiff of warning, inexplicably and suddenly has a face like a giant eyeball in a wig. The fact she is promptly pitchforked to death is just the icing on the, uh, eyeball. (Eventually you figure out that this eyeball faced lady is what the killer sees in the grip of their…(ta dah!) delirium, but I’m pretty sure the movie never explicitly explains it. Which is either lazy or brave; you decide.) This scene alone is all kinds of amazing, so much so that I feared Delirium had peaked early (like Tony; Boom! Boom!), but luckily even the pitchfork murder of an eyeball faced woman is not ridiculous enough for Delirium. No, Delirium also has a scene where 1980s pop warbler Sabrina is stung to death by bees in her own apartment while wearing only an unconvincing bee mask. This latter scene goes on at eye glazing length. It’s sobering to realise how quickly the human mind can become bored by the sight of a 1980s pop shouter being stung to death while wearing only a very poor bee mask. Unless of course you have a fetish for 1980s pop nonentities being stung to death while wearing only a very poor bee mask, in which case you might want to marry this movie. I’m certainly not judging you; it’s a big world. And Delirium is big, guilty fun.

The smoke settles to reveal KUNPIMOOK BHUWAKUL, also known as BAMBAM, a 20 year old love and beauty-aligned fae of Sunseong. He is a brand model who appears to be adept with attraction magic --- but like most things in Sunseong, there must be more to him than meets the eye.

APPEARANCE:
true form: kunpimook is, in actuality, simply a free-floating, translucent spirit. without any input from himself or others pertaining to how to look, he has no solid form, though three distinguishing features make themselves known when he isn’t using a greater illusion; one: a beautiful shimmer that gives a small glow, two: bright eyes, of which change color according to his mood, and three: small wings on his back - the left being white and the right black. his true form - as he is a fae of both love and beauty - is in the eye of the beholder, however such a thing gives the beholder something akin to double vision when looking at him as what they would most like to see. whether this is a more feminine form or a more masculine form doesn’t matter in the slightest, even if he does identify as a male.
greater illusion: when under his greater illusion, he no longer sports a shimmer nor wings. however, the main distinguishing feature about him is his bright eyes that still change color according to his mood. sometimes, he wears dark brown contacts to try off-putting this, but he mostly allows his eyes to be noticeably different from others’ (most assume it to be contacts unless they see them change color, anyway). if he were to lose his grip on the illusion, the first thing to appear would be the light shimmer of his skin.
BIOGRAPHY:
    they wanted the embodiment of love.
    “they” are a married couple, one of which finds pleasure in science and genetics and biology - anything of the sort, though with a magical touch. the line of work is dangerous, but it is one that leads to life (some lives lost before they are even alive, and some festering and growing up until birth). their lab is nothing glamorous, but it is large and is home to many births and deaths alike. from the embodiment of the stars and the moon to the embodiment of the ocean, they wanted it all.
    ( greed is their downfall. )
    experiments are what the fae born due to these two are known as up until success as their own separate being (and even then, they are still experiments). they do it through other fae and most likely illegal means, located deep in sunseong’s nam-gu. drugs and the like are traded for services, and after all is done, they move on and forget failed experiments.
    his birth is in such conditions. prior to him are two failures, the first of which dying only shortly after birth (due to neglect and lack of feeding material) and the second of which turning out, well… not the way they wanted.
    he is experiment three in this series, and he is also the last experiment they create.
    and when he is born, he is mistaken for the embodiment of beauty. the first thing they notice is how he isn’t a solid form, and how looking at him and his glamour makes it difficult to see somehow - as if they’re experiencing double vision. his glow is subtle and shimmery and his eyes are bright, small wings on his back of contradicting colors-
“he looks like some kind of demon.” “no, his wings are white. he’s more like an angel.” “the right wing is black, sweetheart.” “then he’s both. we might’ve done it wrong.“ “seems like it.”
    in the following days, the couple grow to love him. they aren’t sure why, but the boy they’ve given a name (as he’s survived, he needs a name, and so far it seems to be ‘kunpimook’ fits the bill). and in the following days, the couple argues about which characteristics he has - “his hair seems long” to the opposing “his hair is very short” - and his form shifts from solid and touchable to translucent and ghastly.
    within week two, any thoughts of kunpimook being “wrong” vanish, and he seems to be festering with all the love in the air. his eyes change every once in awhile, from a bright pink to a bright purple or green. his first words are what he hears when his ear touches the old woman’s chest - “bam! bam!” - because her heart beats this way for him, her heart beats this way because she loves him (and thus comes the nickname “bambam”).
    and gradually, as years go by, things change. his form is solid, wings vanished and the appearance he has is drastically different from what it was prior. he speaks more often - speaks of meeting others, speaks of living and leading his own life.
    in nam-gu, he learns the art of trade. and in nam-gu, he learns that the world can be cruel.
    the first time he uses his power knowingly is when he’s making a dangerous trade: a few drugs for a good sum of money. the guy is clearly displeased with life, and he looks like he’ll try to strike him at any moment and honestly, kunpimook can’t take it anymore. so he charms him, and the man goes from frowns and threatening words to a slight grin and a sweeter atmosphere. the deal goes through without a hitch.
    over the years, kunpimook learns that being around bigger groups - particularly couples, but anyone with some love to give works - at times just about charges him. he notices that others never seem to particularly dislike him anymore, and eventually, his move to jungsim-gu becomes a piece of cake; he weasels his way into the beauty and cosmetic industry, a place of which he feels at home. from modelling for the brand to helping customers find the right shade of lipstick, he enjoys it all.
    suddenly, not knowing whether others loving him is due to his magic or not doesn’t seem to bother him; he’s going places in life. he’s past the small room in a not-so-glamorous laboratory and maybe the couple is devastated to a point of depression (a side effect he didn’t know of at the time, one that is dangerous and one he still hasn’t gotten a good grasp on and so he fears his power and himself at times- but that’s for another time), but his life looks up and up.
    he refuses to go back down.
    and so he is - in every sense - the embodiment of not only love, but beauty.

he can and will drag others for poor fashion choices. that being said, kunpimook will also help to better those choices in ways he believes to be helpful (shopping trips, advice, etc).
his outlook on life is a relatively positive one, however he simply keeps himself from dwelling on the negativity; such things aren’t what keeps him alive, after all.
love has many languages, however bambam only knows a few: korean, thai, and some english.
when he’s nervous or far too stressed for his own good (most likely due to overthinking), sometimes he speaks in thai due to it being a more natural language for him.
fashion is a passion of his; he loves beauty and cosmetics (rightfully so, being a fae of not only love but beauty) and would love to have his own brand one day - one that is soft on the skin and, of course, cruelty-free.
some social constructs are a bit foreign to him; for example, he never truly attended a public school and thus didn’t exactly blend in with humans amazingly well. this brings about its own problems, but he knows that he shouldn’t go around telling people he’s a fae. it wouldn’t be good, and he’s fairly sure he’d be considered dangerous due to his abilities (of which he has trouble controlling fully).
kunpimook rarely ever tells others his real name; when introducing himself, he just states that one may call him “bambam”. it’s easier to say and, well, he just likes it.
he is very scared of commitment. being in a closed relationship would be very difficult to him, and he tends to avoid such a thing at all costs - especially due to him sometimes not knowing if one likes him so much due to his power versus their own free will.
the only confirmed mental disorder kunpimook has is anxiety.
he changes his hair color very often! one week he may be blonde, and the next something completely different.
SPECIALTIES:
attraction magic (rank 3): at its core, this is emotion manipulation; however, in kunpimook’s case, the only emotion he can induce is an intense like and/or love, and only towards himself. he was born with this type of magic in its rawest form, and has learned to control it over the years; however, what he cannot control is the aura that surrounds him - one of which can cause others to be subtly more attracted to him in general (i.e. others flocking to him rather than someone beside him at parties, others being unknowingly deterred from experiencing dislike/hatred towards him) - as well as after-effects of him using his magic continuously on someone and luring them into a more intense love. such after-effects are dangerous, including intense feelings of sadness and longing among others, varying from individual to individual. - 80 pts!
greater illusion: like all fae, he has the ability of greater illusion. this gives him the appearance he harbors on a day-to-day basis, and without it he is left with only his true form (and whatever else that may entail).
“in the eye of the beholder”: an ability that is a given considering his true form. the name given for this ability is one kunpimook himself has come to know it as over the years, and it is simply the ability of his true form to shift in others’ vision to what they believe to be the most beautiful. such a thing can cause double vision and, of course, arguments over what physical features he truly has. however, what never changes are the way his eyes “behave” (similarly to a bright mood ring) and the two small wings on his back - the left being white, the right being black (and of course, under greater illusion the wings disappear altogether).
emotion detection ward: this ward - given to him by a nice witch for a pretty penny - detects emotions in a simplistic way: positive or negative. this allows kunpimook to mostly avoid altercations and those in bad moods (because really, he prefers positivity due to it fueling him a good bit more than, well, negativity), as well as seek out more pleasant people to be around at social gatherings. this ward takes the form of a small, black outline of a heart tattoo located on the thumb side of his wrist (scaphoid). - 10 pts!
