Last May 2019, Aliw Broadcasting Corporation launched and inaugurated the newest HOME RADIO provincial station in Tacloban City, 89.5 Home Radio (DYQT FM), the 9th radio station of the Home Radio Network and 1st on the FM Frequency in the city will reach out the audiences in the entire Leyte province and some areas in Eastern Visayas via a 5KW transmission power. This is also an anniversary gift of ABC in celebration of their 28th Anniversary to the Taclobanons. The station will carry DWIZ’s long running news commentary program “Karambola sa DWIZ” simulcasted on all of its Home Radio Stations in the provinces: 92.3 Legaspi, 93.5 Naga, 106.7 Cebu, 89.5 Iloilo, 98.7 News FM Davao, 98.3 General Santos, and 95.1 Cagayan De Oro; as well as DWIZ 89.3 Dagupan and DWIZ 94.3 Palawan. Also, Home Radio’s signature programs “Emotions in Motion”, “Totally 80′s”, and “Sunday All Day Classics” as well as local programming will be aired on the newly-launched station.

The ever-popular robotic cat that has been part of the late 90′s & 2000′s will return to the boob tube in celebration of her 20th year on PHTV! Doraemon, the hit TV series that became a culture of young generation of filipinos will now be aired on ABS-CBN TV Plus’ exclusive channel for kids, Yey! (seen on TVPlus Channel 4, SkyCable & Destiny Cable Channel 3 and SkyDirect Channel 1) in associated with Animation International, the distributor of the hit character originally created by Fujiko Fujio in Japan back in the 70′s and it became a hit up to the present.

The series will now air the 2005 version itself, as Doraemon, and the gang: Nobita, Suneo, Shizuka, and Gian (apparently called Damulag in the original iteration back in 1999 when it first aired on GMA, but it will stick with the original version to utilize the name in international variants) will bring their own adventures and misadventures beginning May 28, weeekday afternoons from 5-6pm.

Last May 18, KRD published a backgrounder on GMA Network’s secondary channel and the impending move of GMA News TV to Channel 27. GMA Network advises viewers in Mega Manila with their Digital TV Boxes to rescan on or before June 3 for easy search of GMA & GNTV in the channel list.

To rescan (and avoid duplicated channel issues in most digiboxes), press MENU on the remote and select SETTINGS. On the INSTALLATION sub-menu, select FACTORY DEFAULT, then enter your password (most digiboxes have a default password which is 0000), then select YES upon prompting FACTORY DEFAULT? message to confirm. Then go back to AUTO SEARCH and select, then wait for a few minutes to finish. When SEARCH COMPLETED message appears on-screen, select OK, or press EXIT in your remote, and look for GMA & GNTV in the channel list (now appears on Channels 13 & 14 as of last update). The DTV Channels will now be viewable on UHF 15 upon termination of UHF 27 in time for the preparation for GNTV’s move to the said channel.

GMA Network is set to launch their DTV service in partnership with PLDT & Smart Communications on the 2nd half of 2019.

FEBC Philippines invites everyone to be part of the 71st anniversary celebration with the theme: Nagpapatuloy Sa Kanyang Lakas (In His Strength will Continue).

The annual thanksgiving celebration takes place at the Folk Arts Theatre-Bulwagan ng Panginoon (owned by Day By Day Ministries). this year’s celebration will be on June 1st, from 7am-12nn, and it will highlight FEBC’s achievements in its 7-decade run as the non-commercial non-profit radio network with its aim in spreading the Word of God On-Air, Online, and On the Ground. This celebration will feature songs from Sa Kanyang Lakas FEBC Anniversary album and backgrounders of FEBC Manila stations 702 DZAS and 98.7 DZFE The Master’s Touch.

In the past, FEBC holds open house celebrations at the old FEBC Compound in Valenzuela until in 2012, it has held at the Bulwagan ng Panginoon-Folk Arts Theatre upon relocation of FEBC Main Headquarters from Valenzuela and DZFE Studios in Makati to its own home in Pasig City. This Celebration will also highlight the relaunch of FEBC’s youth ministerial arm RightNOW on the day itself. The celebration will air LIVE via 702 DZAS starting at 6:30am for the PRE-SHOW, 7am for the MAIN CELEBRATION, and 12nn for the POST-SHOW. It will also stream LIVE on Facebook (702 DZAS FEBC Radio), livestream at dzas.febc.ph and on Oh! Philippines app on IOS and Android.
