Train Simulator Free Roam Not Working

First of all Happy New Year to all. Now, the issue is, I simply cannot select a train in free roam (just installed Railworks but I'm already familiar with it). I read a thread of a guy with the same issue but couldn't find a solution. Maybe this is something painstakingly obvious but apparently all you have to do is click on a train and you become the driver. I can't click, though. When I load any free roam scenario, I am put into a location from which I cannot move, I have no menu and no buttons (don't know if this is normal). Sometimes there are visible trains, other times there aren't. No matter how much I click on a train, it doesn't do anything, and I am stuck with no buttons and the game refuses to do anything. I have clicked every button on the keyboard - the only thing that works is '9' which opens the map. The map works fine and the switches change completely fine. All other scenarios work fine What am I doing wrong? Thank you!!

Um diesen Punkt möglichst lange hinauszuzögern, war Sportpsychologe und Mentalcoach Gernot Emberger vor Ort und gab den Nachwuchstalenten wertvolle Tipps. „Danach wurden wir in zwei Gruppen aufgeteilt und es standen Entspannungs- und Atemübungen auf dem Programm“, berichtet der Förderkandidat Dennis Marschall im Interview. „Auf die Entspannung folgte die Anspannung: Wir haben alle versucht, uns ganz und gar auf nur eine Sache zu konzentrieren und mussten uns einzelne Gegenstände minutenlang anschauen“, erzählt der 22-jährige Fahrer des ADAC GT Masters.

Um zu überprüfen, ob die Konzentrationsübungen wirksam waren, mussten die Gruppen anschließend gegeneinander Zeitfahrten im Rennsimulator absolvieren. Die aufwendige Maschine schafft authentisches Rennfeeling auch abseits der Strecke. Die virtuellen Duelle wurden auf dem Hockenheimring mit Prototypen der LMP2-Klasse ausgetragen. Das war die fairste Methode, weil kein Kandidat schon mal mit einem realen Wagen dieses Typs gefahren ist. Am Ende konnte sich die Gruppe mit Luca Engstler, Jannes Fittje, Mike Ortmann und Lirim Zendeli durchsetzen. Sie bekam dafür, genau wie die Zweitplatzierten, einen Gutschein für ein zweistündiges Simulatortraining.

„Jetzt können unsere Kandidaten bei Bedarf noch ein paar virtuelle Trainingseinheiten absolvieren“, erklärt Alexander Safavi, Projektleiter der Deutsche Post Speed Academy. Dass die jungen PS-Talente zum Workshop nach Burgbrohl eingeladen wurden, ist natürlich kein Zufall: „Wir versuchen, den Kandidaten stets die Grundlagen näherzubringen, die sie für ihre Karriere im Rennsport am nötigsten brauchen. Konzentration ist für erfolgreiche Fahrer ein Muss und genauso wichtig wie die körperliche Fitness, die wir im vergangenen Workshop thematisiert haben“, erklärt Alexander Safavi die Auswahl der Seminar-Themen.

Die Deutsche Post Speed Academy ist das erfolgreichste deutsche Nachwuchsförderungsprogramm im Motorsport und unterstützte unter anderem die Profi–Rennfahrer Timo Glock, Nico Hülkenberg, Daniel Abt, Pascal Wehrlein, Marco Wittmann sowie den amtierenden DTM–Champion René Rast in deren Karrieren.

  Bereits seit 2004 werden junge, talentierte Rennfahrer auf dem Weg in den Profi–Motorsport begleitet. Zehn prominente und fachkundige Jurymitglieder, wie beispielsweise Timo Glock, Jens Marquardt, Norbert Haug und Kai Ebel, bewerten die Leistung der Förderkandidaten.
